I just want to reiterate something I don't feel I expressed clearly: this is a great option, but really just as a primer used in moderation with other sun protection/sunscreens. This could pair well with any other sunscreen in your routine to help prime your face for makeup application without compromising sun protection, and helps mattify and blur. That's why I think it'd be a great option for a wide range of skin tones, because if you're using as much as you'd need to regularly prime and only in targeted areas, i can see it working BEAUTIFULLY.

My favorite is the popular Flawless Complexion of course. I'm also loving the Face Moisture Lightly Tinted right now, it's so moisturizing with a ceramide for the fall winter months. COTZ is the BEST! I plan on trying all of their products!

*Love* this one, it's my all in one for travel too. Keeps my oily skin nice and matte, just how I like it, and blurred & even so I don't need foundation, only concealer. I like how it's water-resistant as well and certified to be PA+++ since mineral sunscreens don't usually offer high UVA protection.
The cotz flawless SPF 50 is actually perfection but I can't wear it because the bismuth. I wish they would remove it, it has no business being in a sunscreen lol.
I've been waiting to hear what you think of this! I agree with pretty much all of your points. With this, because of the thick primer texture, you really have to be careful to not put too much. Sometimes even 2 layers in the morning is too thick, and the silicone makes a thick layer that you can feel on your skin and that slides around all day. I agree that I like to use this as a thin layer of primer over another sunscreen (and under makeup) because it's so expensive, small, and thick. That being said, on bare skin ERASES PORES!!! Omg the most beautiful natural skin ever! It doesn't have much tint/pigment to even out skin tone, but wow it makes my pores disappear. Under makeup it's an OK primer, very similar to Benefit Porefessional or Beauty Blender The Leveler. I also really appreciate how it keeps my super oily skin matte all day, without drying me out. P.S. I LOVE your up close side by side comparisons. They're so helpful and I really admire your courage to zoom in on your skin.
Oddly enough, I contacted Cotz and they told me that their Moisturizing Sunscreen (tinted) is actually more matte than their Flawless Complexion. I’m finishing up some other sunscreens but will be switching to Cotz. I’ll definitely be getting the Flawless or Moisturizing given that my skin is drier. I like the way you’re using the two sunscreens here and may try that.
YOU ARE THE BEST. I bought both the tinted cotz and tinted sunbum sunscreen and they’ve been incredible (I basically have ur skin color). I LOVE the mattefing and blurring effect on my skin!! I used the links you provided so hopefully you’ll get a cut. I’ll send you a $20 tip your way as well. 50 years from now, I’ll have less wrinkles on my skin thanks to you. Lol 🥳
This was a good video. Ive been using the flawless complexion but I hate that it seems to magnify my pores that are prominent in my t zone. I also think it causes an increase in sebaceous filaments around my nose. I think I will try this prime and protect for my t-zone. I like to look moisturized and dewy not shiny.

Hi Ramón! Do you know if doing a DIY sunscreen cushion (to reapply) is safe? I don’t know if putting the sunscreen in the cushion container can degrade the protection. I was just looking for different methods to reapply sunscreen over makeup and this one looks really convenient but I don’t know if its safe. Thank you! :)
