This has to be one of THE BEST tiny homes I have ever seen, and I have seen alot of them!!! Georgeous design and execution, very spacious feeling and everything perfectly placed. Just WoW!!! The camper is also extraordinary!!! Wow do these people have an eye for design!!!
It's beautiful! I love how bright and cheerful it is. They've done a really nice job making it homey and simple. Great information about toilets and RV appliances. I lived in a 30' travel trailer 4 years while building a 2,500 square foot house . . . I'm now back in the mindset of a small cottage under 1,000 square feet. I'm encouraging my nearly 18 year-old son to build a tiny house. Thanks so much for this video. Thanks to Ann and Darren for showing us their home and Darren's darling little sleep trailer.
THE nicest tiny house I've seen! It was very well decorated and functional as heck. The trailer looked super complicated to fabricate, but the fella made it seem so simple. I hope those two patent and start producing their "tiny things."
The interior is absolutely beautiful. Great idea of painting the whole thing a monochromatic scheme and having a bit of color here and there. Things look cleaner, brighter, bigger and not so cluttered. Much easier on the eye. I bet if that's high gloss paint, than its easy to keep clean.
I love the marine heater & when I saw that you gave me the idea to look into products that are made for marine use. Your experiences & comments about the RV products (ie: cooktop/oven) & composting toilets are very helpful., I'm looking at living full time in an RV or small home & am exploring all the options. Thanks for the video, very informative. You guys are pretty cool! Enjoyed watching.
I've been collecting ideas for my own tiny house project and this is the first one I've seen in a colder climate that fits my area. Definitely my favorite tiny house set up so far.
No...I have other bills and responsibilities at the moment. Hoping to within the next two years. I do live out of my truck though. I love it! Did it before for a couple of years about 8 years ago. So I had some experience at it. Wouldn't trade it for anything!
Brandon Blake Sounds cool. I've been doing a "freedom" living sort the last couple years in the Colorado Rockies. It is a relief when you can remove yourself from having your survival being dependent upon the whims of the economy. :) Are you a van-dweller or full on truck?
Basically a van dweller...in a pickup truck. I have solar panels on top for charging device and other electronic products. I use a sleeping bag in the winter that goes down to -40. Most comfortable sleep I've had in years. I look forward to getting away from the rat race.
Brandon Blake I use the same idea of the sleeping bag. Works great. I started using it when I went on the road for work (aerial mapping the US by airplane) I would tent at each airport and save the per diem to be able to purchase property after the 7 month long work season. :)
I designed and built several small structures, and I must say you have did an excellent job on both ! I really like the little one. I'm an "Airstream" fan, and I like to mix styles and materials together to create my own look as you did on the front it with the wood strips. And the sink in the big one..... I wanted a restaurant sink but even a used one was outa my price range when I was remodeling my loft so I bought a counter similar and dropped an aluminum sink in it to get the same Industrial appeal at a fraction of the price. Enough rambles... Great designs !
Lovely! Loads of useable ideas. Love the idea of flashing for the exterior of the camper, looks great! I can so relate to the living in the shed while young, for a time, as my dad (with his "child labor".lol) built the main house. Although, we didn't go that route when building ours, we would have if ordinates allowed.
I would love to see the build of the little camper or even the plans I love the little camper... the tiny house is very nice to Im just more into the camper
Really beautiful job on the tiny house and love the little Airstream type camper unit. Please reconsider the heating option as your idea of charcoal, even if well vented seems risky from an asphyxiation point of view. A space that small could probably be heated up, albeit slowly with a large slow burning beeswax candle or two, especially since it looks very well insulated. Other options might be small, electrically powered space porcelain heater powered from a batter pack, with a spare batter backup that you can keep charged up with your solar panels back at your tiny house :)
I would have looked for a small Hydro-Flame style propane heater. I managed to find one years ago that was only about 8x8x16 or 18 with out the back surface venting.
Folks, This is absolutely one of my best likes. You have done a fantastic job through out the house but I have gleaned a great idea for my camping trailer I'm getting info to build.
I love both of these! Great work, guys. Too bad about the RV appliances but that's the only thing I think was a no-no. Having the water tank in the loft, doesn't that make it top-heavy? I guess it wouldn't matter. I live in a 27' Class C and your tiny house would be so amazing to live in.
Love the little ride and hide.. :) Small is good, less of everything. Now days with the great electrical inverters, and low power electronics you can do a lot on just solar and wind. I think this is a trend, and we will soon see smaller homes, and just everything in general. Good job../Berry
berry black Having lived two plus years now with Solar, I can easily see putting up 2000 watts worth of solar on the roof with an overhang veranda on the back. Plenty of electricity to not have to cut back on anything. :)
I need the Airstream type now! Im a transient worker and this would b perfect. I can build my own but dont have time for trial and error. Great vid thanks
The nicest looking tiny home I have ever seen. It's beautiful. The trailer is very nice also. The only thing holding me back is the toilet issue. Just can't do that. :)
I like some of their ideas. Ikea has some cool furniture you can repurpose. Painting the inside of their living spaces make them look bigger. The only thing that is a drag is the toilet issues.
I'm fascinated by these things. But it seems such smart, creative, productive people would find a way to live "in their own way" without pooping in a bucket in their closet. Everything else seems pretty awesome.
+rrpostalagain You are wrong about the bucket. Its smart, and eco friendly with zero water waste. What is your solution to the current wasteful potty system? Just because you are used to pooping in a flush toilet does not make it an optimal system. Its a convenience system.
Agreed 100%! Get over it people! We all have to poop and pee!!! Big Deal!!! Why people feel the need to waste at least 10 gallons of perfdectly clean water with every pee or poop is beyond me, it's just stupid and so incredibly wastefull!!!
msmeg I use the saying 'if its yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, send it down'. saves about 3-5$ on the water bill. but my water bill has never been over 50$ so
The ProtoStoga is a work of art. I would like to ask Darren how did he make the window Frame it looks store bought . The roof is .something I`d like to seen being Made ,It`s so even .in side . I think also the conservative Toilet. makes sence we do that for Baby`s the 1st year. a 2 gallon pump up spayer like for the yard could give you Fresh Clean water Spray to think of it. Paint it bathroom colors. Very Cool and tiny house travels to across country. Wow. very Cool.
You mentioned heating with charcoal briquettes. BAD IDEA. Even if you vent the exhaust outside you can't guarantee some of the fumes/off gasses could still get into the living section, and that would be deadly. An old co-worker of mine lost his twin brother to that very thing. He was using charcoal for heat in a tent trailer which certainly isn't air tight, and despite the fact it exhausted outside, and he left a window open, for fresh air, the fumes overwhelmed him, and he suffered severe brain damage, and died 2 weeks later. This happened the first night he tried using his new heat source that was cheaper than running his propane furnace. Please don't do it.
+iceman22st I agree a bad idea. How about a passive solar heating panel that would add extra heat during the cold winter time well as long as the sky's are clear for supplemental heat.
I just reported it for harmful or dangerous acts. Thanks for mentioning it. They really need to edit that part out so someone doesn’t die just to keep warm.
Both the tiny home and the airstreamish trailer show lovely design and workmanship. Well done. That being said, please don't use indoor charcoal fires to heat or cook. The carbon monoxide produced can be fatal.
Nice, but I would prefer a cedar interior and a white exterior. White outside would be very cool in the sun, reflecting heat, and cedar inside would smell like heaven, and be antimicrobial as well.
You have a very nice home. Thanks for giving us the grand tour. :@) I have thought about building and moving into such a home, but its a hard sell to the wife.
You folks have a really excellent, very comfortable looking tiny house that's well made. Looks like quality work. I like the little 900 LB air-stream style sleeping trailer you made. May I ask what it cost you to build your tiny house and also what it cost to build the trailer ?
I really liked your white interior. Also like the small office trailer.
@@tombremer514 me too. I really love it.
Merry Christmas Tom
This has to be one of THE BEST tiny homes I have ever seen, and I have seen alot of them!!! Georgeous design and execution, very spacious feeling and everything perfectly placed. Just WoW!!! The camper is also extraordinary!!! Wow do these people have an eye for design!!!
msmeg I agree!
Can I have it Mr blonde man, I live in upland Calif, call Marie, at 909-599-1782
That trailer rocked!
It's beautiful! I love how bright and cheerful it is. They've done a really nice job making it homey and simple. Great information about toilets and RV appliances. White white white claiming effect. Adorable tiny home. I could be comfy in home like this. Cute couple. Thanks for sharing
Very nice Tiny House! ...Loved the Airstream-ish portable Coffee Shop with the Dutch door!
The aluminum and wood around the rear window make a beautiful sight. It evokes the drawstring closure of the pioneers'cloth-covered coaches ,
pioneers' Conestoga wagons

Bless your gypsy hearts...yes, there is something comforting living in organized small spaces..........thank you for sharing....
Your tiny houses are both cozy & efficient an simple in design.
I absolutely love how bright and airy this home is. Beautiful.
I love the marine heater & when I saw that you gave me the idea to look into products that are made for marine use. This tiny house is really nice. I especially like the bright interior, makes it look very elegant and spacious.
Nice. I loved how using monotone colouring makes the camper appear less cluttered than most tiny homes I have seen.
I love the sapciousness of white, but little bit of pale yellow also creates a warm glow on cloudy days.
I've been collecting ideas for my own tiny house project and this is the first one I've seen in a colder climate that fits my area. Definitely my favorite tiny house set up so far.
I've kept pictures of this house on my ipad for a couple of years now. I show it to everyone. Glad to finally see it filmed.
Brandon Blake You start building yours yet, Brandon?
No...I have other bills and responsibilities at the moment. Hoping to within the next two years. I do live out of my truck though. I love it! Did it before for a couple of years about 8 years ago. So I had some experience at it. Wouldn't trade it for anything!

As soon as they make the enviranment pretty, it may be a lovly place to live. I like the white colour inside more than I could expect... Cheers

What a lovely lovely home. And quite creative use of space!
Most beautiful tiny house I've seen, with lots of clever design ideas.
Fabulous, both tiny spaces are fantastic and very classy ...
Have you been again on the Wakki - Bakky Robin ??
Both the home and the office trailer are well done. Good video as always Mrs Dirksen.
I love the trailer. Quite a bit of ingenuity on display in both projects--congratulations on bringing them off!
Both spaces are simply stunning! I love the white interiors and the attention to detail. I love their style, I think they have great taste! 👌
Both are beautiful and the Airstream like cabin is especially interesting!! Great work!!
Excellent design ideas! Love the Airstreamish trailer; I would have liked to have seen a video dedicated to its construction.
I really like that white look. I have seen quite a few of these houses on wheels, but this looks quite good.
looks like a mobile blood donation unit with all that white inside. A white base needs some color people!
Great spaces. Fold away tables and no walls between sections. Keeps that space feeling as big as it is.
I like how happy he is with the single faucet thing. That's so normal in Europe..
I know right. XD
It's pretty normal in the U.S. for the last thirty years, as well. I'm not sure which rock the guy has been hiding under...
Do ya see this dear UK? Single Faucet! :D
I love the white interior! so much brigther than wood finish.
They did some work to those tiny houses. They look great!
Roomy solution-I like your wooden battens over the aluminum seams-nicely done.
Lovely! Loads of useable ideas. Love the idea of flashing for the exterior of the camper, looks great! I can so relate to the living in the shed while young, for a time, as my dad (with his "child labor".lol) built the main house. I really like the little guy. It's a great idea for him to camp during the week instead of commuting an hour + to work every single day!
Love this!! I'm not normally a fan of all-white, but it does make the spaces look bigger. Very nice!!
One of the nicest looking/living tiny houses I've seen!
Realy nice job and white color looks just perfect! Thanks for video.
That Airstream trailer is kickass. Great vid ty.
Beautiful space. I love the white interior! And the trailer's great too. Inspiring.
Really great spaces. Love this small house design. One of the best I've seen.
Nice job. You may want to consider Natures Head composting toilet. I have had one on my boat for a number of years and it works well and NO smell.
I would love to see the build of the little camper or even the plans I love the little camper... the tiny house is very nice to Im just more into the camper
I love both and the best part is that theyre in my home state!! Colorado baby!!

Great tiny home, well made, Thanks for sharing.
Liked both ideas. Second one was really nice
Those are both cool. I like the table design may change up the design in my rv to this style. Grat job
The 70s generation where nature, freedom, and mobility are the focus.
Thank God someone said something about the charcoal briquettes!
White Colors in a small space make a big difference Good Job :)
Is anything ever 100% complete? lol FABULOUS! I love it!
Beautiful home, clean and bright
I love both of these! Great work, guys. Too bad about the RV appliances but that's the only thing I think was a no-no. Having the water tank in the loft, doesn't that make it top-heavy? I guess it wouldn't matter. I live in a 27' Class C and your tiny house would be so amazing to live in.

This is really beautiful. And easy to clean, I'll bet!
That is one beautiful tiny home!
The utility trailer/wagon is pretty cool. The bed is especially cool.
Throw in some color LED's, radio, and that's a shag wagon right there.
I like to store everything in baskets as well. They hide all the clutter and they're decorative. Plus they're easy to carry around when cleaning up.
That origami bed in the mini airstream is so satisfying. Nicely done.
Beatifull bouth. Thanks for the video. From Canary islands- Spain.
Loved the second structure! So simple
One of the nicest layouts I've seen
Some really great ideas here, lovely tiny home.
Love,love,love both of them!!great job
I need the Airstream type now! Im a transient worker and this would b perfect. I can build my own but dont have time for trial and error. Great vid thanks
Thats a nice unit, the white works well..
The nicest looking tiny home I have ever seen. It's beautiful. The trailer is very nice also. The only thing holding me back is the toilet issue. Just can't do that. :)

I really love your tiny house and that's the style that I am going to make mine like
Wow very interesting beatyful genious ideas.!👍
This is one of the nicest tiny homes I have seem
Very innovative love the designs!
OOoohhhh love the whole thing!! but i'm in LOVE with the trailer!!!
Beautifully built!
Finally! That tiny house I've seen so much on facebook!
beautiful home
One of the best videos
beautiful tiny home.

+Lass-in Angeles I'm not afraid of being wrong. but I am not going to poop in a bucket. call me a prude, if you like.
You're a prude. It's not exactly just a bucket either; most modern toilets flush, some don't.
Agreed 100%! Get over it people! We all have to poop and pee!!! Big Deal!!! Why people feel the need to waste at least 10 gallons of perfdectly clean water with every pee or poop is beyond me, it's just stupid and so incredibly wastefull!!!

Very Nice home.
I can't wait to build mine.
Very nice I wish MY HUSBAND would live this way I am ready.
You have a very nice home. Thanks for giving us the grand tour. :@)
I have thought about building and moving into such a home, but its a hard sell to the wife.
I love this channel.
Nice and creative.
very nice designs. love the airstream, more details and maybe kickstarter? :)
Agreed, that little trailer was really cool. I'd love to see more about it including construction details.
HOLY CRAP! Is there a plan for that small pull behind?!?!?!?! THAT IS BADASS!
