A very talented young man who will get to the top of the opera world if he is prepared to work at it and study hard, as well as immersing himself in the music of the great tenors who have preceded him...Caruso, Gigli, Bjorling, di Stefano, Corelli, Gedda, Pavarotti, Domingo, Wunderlich (brilliant German tenor who died very young) and Mario Lanza too. No doubt he has been doing this. A real talent who has used his music to overcome his depression and low self-esteem, thus setting a great example as well as sharing his lovely voice with the world.

I have been watching Jonathon since he and Charlotte won the British Talent Show. He has a fabulous voice and I never tire of listening to him singing. He appears to be very grounded and I hope he stays that way.

I think his spirit is as beautiful as his voice. We might never have known but for the heart and fierce loyalty of Charlotte. He is still so young and out in this wide world. Oh,Morag, what a lovely job you did on this! I'm just getting the chance to watch the "Last Night of Proms" video right now. I get the chills watching Jonathan, as soon as he can be seen coming out on stage and begins to sing. He is a born performer. He makes all the movements,gestures and facial expressions, as if he is telling a beautiful story.He is so gracious to the orchestra, the other performers and the audience. There is something supremely different about Jonathan.He IS the music. The souls of the masters have inhabited him! It is a spiritual experience watching him go up into the music and render an impeccable, effortless performance. When he is done, he "comes back down" and he is sweet, kind Jonathan, kid from England who loves his family, his cats and his guitars. It is so touching and I am so happy to have been able to see this in my lifetime. I'm so glad we have him to love. God bless him always!
Besides his astoundingly beautiful voice, Jonathan has natural acting talent. He puts on the coat of the character he is singing about and becomes them. Such an expressive face makes his performance even deeper. Then before, after or when he relaxes a bit, there is a hint of mischief or a secret smile that shows he is happy and in his glory, as it were. God bless him always. Adam Knight High praise indeed and justified. I'm so enjoying Jonathan's journey - he is clearly spending a lot of time improving his technique. His breath control, diction and support of his voice is so noticeably better than the BGT audition. I'm also so pleased that he is not running for the big bucks right away but is taking the time necessary to build and strengthen his voice. It might take 10 years butit should be so worth the wait.
What is AMAZING to me.. earlier on, he answered a question I asked. "Do you speak Italian?". He doesn't..but you wouldn't know it from the way he sings it!
but also now that i think about it..who cares(: why debate it, he is very new to the opera scene and this was wonderful. I've spoken with him before actually, he is a delightful person and so very talented.

One of my favorite opera pieces and Jonathan sings it, how lucky could I be...Such a beautiful, powerful voice. The first time I heard his voice, it was frame freezing, I remember stilling and stopping what I was doing, with my background of hundreds of college music majors' solos attended back in my college days, it is no great wonder I would recognize and appreciate such a beautiful, innate voice.

Every once in a while, there is a crack in the cosmos and somebody very special drops out...Jonathan is one of these. Ive watched him from the beginning like so many others and fell in love with him immediately! If there are in haters, which I find personally to be hard to get my head around, then it truly is their loss and misfortune. This young man is special. He's a very gracias, elegant, generous and most importantly, a genuine soul. He is very intelligent and humble and that makes him loveable in my books. I pray for him and cheer him on always and look forward to my good fortune of getting to watch him grow as a man and a world class singer. More than that, as a poster child of the chysalis who has broken out of its shell and evolved into another creature of beauty and grace. It would appear from this video, however, that his public confidence has increased significantly since his first audition on Britain's got Talent. Not that there appears to be anything negative in his nature, but I sincerely hope he has some quality mentors in his life to continue building upon a his strong foundation of musical talent, personal character and discipline. I could not begin to imagine the wide array of influencing forces on a young person subject to such a meteoric rise in stardom. Saw Jonathan when first on BGT....was just blown away then...he continues to grow, as does his singing ability. He deserves the very best voice coaches and please God help him to stay healthy...I know it is an issue for singers of his ability to not lose or gain a lot of weight rapidly...just stay healthy. olin1242131 I suspect he was comfort eating with his sad past. Now he is launched and has so much more to occupy him I hope it won't be such a problem for him . He has a big frame , and often opera singers get large , like weight lifters they develop chest muscles. K
