    When you work with views on the GrandMA 3 console it´s important that you build the work environment you need for the show you are starting.
    What GrandMA 3 views you need will change from show to show. If you are working with dimmer channel only, you will need a different setup, than if you are working with moving lights, or media servers. It’s something we all have to do to learn GrandMA3 programming.
    In this video i will explain how you are creating views on the GrandMA 3 Console. This is a very simple run thru of the most basic knowledge you need to get started with creating views on the GrandMA3 Console from MA Lighting.

    I'm not an LD (I wish I was), but a production volunteer at a church in Australia. We recently upgraded from MA2 onpc to GrandMA3 Compact but we're still running MA2 software. I need to eventually adapt to MA3 and this is part of it. The learning curve is steep, so thanks for taking it slow. This + the discord group are by far the best resource for learning MA3.

    Thank you for this tutorial series. The pacing is perfect for someone coming back to stage lighting after a 45 year gap. It's a steep learning curve, and this is really useful to me. Trying to get my head around the conceptual model of digital consoles, and a practical workflow is challenging. Your tutorials are easing the process.
    I'm based in Scotland, starting some small-scale freelance amateur and semi-pro work, and making the leap from wire-wound dimmers with physical plug patchboards to DMX and hybrid software/control surfaces.

    As a diehard Avo user, these videos have been so helpful. They're on a slightly older version of MA3 than I'm using, but the walk-through is mostly the same. I'm by no means a junior op/programmer (can confidently run most consoles); but MA has been one of those things I kept meaning to get around to learning but was put off by the way users explained it (and the way they belittle other console types, many MA users have a false sense of superiority because their choice of hardware is the most expensive but themselves aren't actually that good at their job).
    This guy has done a great job with the channel and videos.

    Hi, I’m in USA Las Vegas, Nevada. I am new to lighting consoles. As a beginner I am learning everything on the GrandMA3. The videos you are making are helping me so much! Going slow, step by step will definitely help other people like myself to learn. I did not even know how to patch a light, that is how new I am to learning! Thank you so much for making these videos!

    I am currently watching these tutorials as a VE that is training on the Disguise hard/software that will also need to understand the sock puppet communications between disguise and grandMA. This is very helpful for a complete novice when it comes to lighting, thank you

    So currenty following the series as I want to learn MA3. But going to the command section, I can see the buttons, but they don't show any icons like the numbers or for example ''delete''. Pressing them won't do anything. They are just greyed out.

    Is there another page which I can see all my fixtures individually so that I can adjust parameters separately, not in group.

    • @Event-Lighting
      @Event-Lighting  8 месяцев назад

      You Can open a fixture view on you screen. Them you can see all your fixtures line by line. In the window you can select one or more if you want. You could also take a look at layouts and maybe find a tutorial about that on RUclips. I have one video on layouts, it’s a bit old but I think it is still okay.
