- One of the new things on the GrandMA 3 console is that you can use swipeys to program all your presets.
Swipeys are a brand new concept to GrandMA 3 programming and its very powerful.
In this episode of our GrandMA 3 tutorial series we will program our position preset, our color preset, and our gobo and focus presets - using only the new GrandMA 3 swipey concept.
Last time we setup our 3D visualizer the build in GrandMA 3 3D viewer.

On the view buttons (far right side of screen) if you hold the left mouse button down in the view box where you want to store your view it will store it then label it as Rainer de Vries mentions below!

These are great videos for those of us new to gm3 - thank you. A question if i may - I'm following along and when i store a colour it also saves P&T, Gobo etc etc. I have maybe pressed something whilst I had shortcut mode on? It's like there is no preset filter applied - I also get a very strange thumb nail auto generated in that pool - not a large coloured circle as you show - but an arrangement of gobos and lines etc. Thoughts most welcome. - UPDATED - resolved after a restart!

At 12:52 There's got to be a way to do this more effecient, to merge the colors with the next group or make the colors "global"

In Addition I can tell you that you can just store rather anything (especially presets or sequences) just by long pressiong an empty field. And if it is "marked" then you can label it just by typing in some text on your keyboard. But be aware of having the keyboard shortcuts turned off.
Yes you are right. Swipeys was one of the new things I did not think I would use, but now that I've tried programming on the desk, I can see how useful it is - I use it all the time.
Hello! So my cat mashed the keyboard when i was doing this tutorial. and now, the fixtures wont respond to any of the presets weve made. None of the color or position presets as well as At Full. They wont turn on in 3D or react to me pressing the presets for position color ect. Does anyone know what i did? any help is greatly appreciated thank you
For whatever reason the atomics won't just display an open dimmer? When I set it to open it just strobes constantly. Not familiar with the fixture but I assume it's not supposed to 😢
Yeah,I just used a different fixture.

Why don't you use Universal Presets in Color Presets? We recently discussed this and didn't find a reason why some use Global and some use Universal Presets for the Colors. Is there a specific reason why you are using Global instead of Universal? Because I think Universal is improving your workflow as Magenta is always RB at full etc... And so every Lamp Type with RGB Elements will work "from the start" with Uniiversal Presets.

Hi Rainer. Thank you for watching the videos 😀 The reason I have not used universal presets yet is that I want to make this tutorial series based on the way the desk starts up, without changing the "default" settings. I know that there are many possibilities, but the idea behind the videos is that you have never worked with the desk before, and that I therefore do not want to confuse with too many concepts from the beginning. But you're right, it could be a smarter way to do it. :-) BTW i dont see your message on the other videos 😀
