Great looking bike. I have a 2022 model. I changed the headset to a normal one without internal cable routing to make it easier to change head stem bearings. I notice there is no option with the new frame to run external cables, no holes and grommets in the frame. Was not a fan of the internal cable routing. Looks good, but not practical. What is the rear shock?

Rides as good as it looks too. I love the neatness of the headset routing but It will make changing the top bearing harder at some point. Luckily they see less dirt and mud than the bottom bearing. Benefit of the headset routing is how easy it is to get outer gear cables and brake hoses through on a new build. Head tube holes are massive compared to grommets. Took me no time at all to build one of my bikes up from a frame.
Shock was a fox dps. Worked well.

Shove a Oli Edge motor for better performance. My Bosch motor, died, strangely four months after the warranty expired. Oli, saved me from throwing the rig in the dumpster. Love the reliability of the Edge, so much, I replaced the second Bosch CX, before it dies. Oli, is much more weatherproof, and extra Nm, to get heavy riders with bad knees, uphill.

Great video! How would you compare it to the focus sl you tested? And if you had to choose!!which one would you select?
    Thanks 😊

@@fernandom6811 thanks! It’s got much more power up the hill that’s for sure. The SL is the best of both worlds rides like a normal bike but gives you the assistance up the hill. The JAM rides like a proper e bike. It’s heavier more planted but overall a super fun and nimble e bike on the trail.
I ended up buying a sam2 6.0 and a jam SL 8.8 myself. The long travel Sam is good for me as I race emtb’s.

what is Your head angle? 65.5 or 64.5?

I ran it in the 65.5 setting as I prefer a more nimble bike.

You size up for a medium

    • @dstone2011

@@bobcar1972 personally I would get a small as I prefer smaller bikes. The full powered e bikes are already super stable so I go for a more manoeuvrable bike. My SAM2 is a size small but my JAM SL is a medium as it’s lighter and the rear end length is short so it’s quite playful.
