Goldguy! I love your videos more and more....they are getting better and better....and you show that anybody can do alot with your car/motorcycle by your self !!!Hello from Sweden,,,,,
Loving the series, i was going to do this same thing with a NA 2.0 fozzy but ended up with a remapped 2.5XT, im still tempted to do a proper NA, SC or turbo build of my old gf8. Keep it up mate! 👌
I use blow off valve directly on turbo with mass air sensor on my volvo 940 red block , not had too many issues at all , I generally prefer the blow off sound over the flutter
hey im a big fan of your subaru series and was wondering if you could help me out with something? I've got an aftermarket oil pressure gauge coming with sensor. Was wondering if its possible to replace the stock sending unit or oil pressure switch with my aftermarket one since they're supposedly just a dummy light in our foresters? Or do I have to tee off from them? which one do i install the aftermarket gauge to? the sending unit or the switch? also is the oil pressure sending unit and the oil pressure switch the same thing?? I have an EJ251 2002 forester SOHC.
Have you cleaned the cone air filter with the air filter recharge/cleaning kit and the mass air flow sensor with the mass air flow sensor cleaner spray it should help alot more it has helped me
Wow! Seems pretty cool lol I bought a 2007 Impreza 2.5i that was a previous project from a friend of mine. It's currently running a EJ253 short block with Ej205 heads, EJ205 harness, EJ205 manifold and a EJ205 ECU. It has a TD04 turbo with a COBB downpipe and NUR SPEC R exhaust. The car runs perfectly fine at 7 PSI. However, when I try adjusting the boost I get explosions from my exhaust. I would assume its because of the high compression ratio that the short block has. I replaced the spark plugs with some NGK Iridium 6 and still have the same problem. But, whatever car is pretty fast. My old 2003 WRX was running about 18 psi and was fun until I wrecked it 3 months ago.
A bypass valve is for supercharged engines, you have a recirculating blow off valve. Also are you going to upgrade your fuel system or do you wanna melt a hole through a piston? love the videos just hate to see another subi die.
I'm in the process of tuning this car now. Stay tuned, also a bypass valve is the same thing as a recirculating blow off valve. Same thing different name.
My XT has a bypass valve, which is also called a recirculating bov. It bypasses pressurised air from the high pressure side of the intake into the low pressure side - hence the name, by-pass valve. And the way it works on a supercharger setup is the exact same. Watch MCM's gofastbrett episodes. There's a guy talking who designs bov's and bpv's for GFB.
Bro il buy that red fitting you took off that vents to atmosphere I literally had my car all apart and these Dick had sent me that blow off valve and never gave me that part
Yes you should tune your car, once the swap is done your once naturally aspirated cars computer will continue to read it as a non boosted car. You need your computer to recogonize that your air intake is being pulled through a turbocharger rather than natural air flow, theres many more factors that IDK about. Theres a lot of Subaru forums out there, where enthusiets know a lot more than i do.

Hello from Pennsylvania! Thanks for watching!
Ive still got arceye from watching your welding.. Not the prettiest install, but very well explained all the same. Nice one.
lol watched 4 videos already. this guy is awsome. learned alot. some i wont try but definitely learning here. @GOLDGUY STAY TOPS MAN
Sweet knock off type s looks like it's working good
Dude thank you for the info, because of this video it helped me figure out the maf on my 22ret pickup!! Love your videos man, keep it up!!
"If you been living under a rock for the past couple of years." 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂
Where i can find stuff to read about car programing? I want to create my own map for my project, thx mate!
me pregunto si para ponerle turbo tuviste q mandarle bielas pistones metales forjado
No hay que forjar sin embargo no podes subirle muchas libras o te hechas el motor.

Man I did a 5th gen eatom m45 off a benz and put it on my sohc 2.0 neon best choice ever 8 psi right off idle whole way to redline
It's no fun waiting for boost

Does your bov recirculate back back to intake or vent to atmosphere?
Do you have a tutorial how to put a bov on a na car i can't afford a turbo
Do your attach your breathers as well on the CAI?
the blue color pipe need install from where to blow off valve
Great video. Even better the second time. Love seeing the subie wrenched on

hey man how did u get your headers to clear ur water pump

Did u change your ecu? Or u steel driving with stock ecu?
Anyone know what that other aluminum piece was for at like 3:10?
It's an extra adapter. You can weld that to your existing pipe so you don't have to use theirs. Less coupler that way.
So you got a little bit frustration from the small 2stroke motorbike project?
No not yet, I just started it! I'm still in good spirits lol
Awesome video. Hopefully someday this can be a 10 second car.
I think it will be someday
Hey how much psi are you currently running at the moment?
Brilliant vids. Iv got a stock 2.5i legacy fifth gen. Thinking if turbo charging it
Do it, it's tons of fun!
Watched your full turbo charging series. Definitely inspired me so thanks. Peace from the U.K
you, GOD.

Hey quick question is the fuel system of a 2007 Impreza 2.5i the same as a 2007 Impreza WRX??????
I have the same question
Is your car turbo or na?
Turbo
Where did you run your vacuum hose for the bov?
I ran it in line with my brake booster vacuum line, same place I get my boost guage vacuum/boost and line for my rrfpr
Goldguy sweet thanks
Bro il buy that red fitting you took off that vents to atmosphere I literally had my car all apart and these Dick had sent me that blow off valve and never gave me that part
Well lucky for you I still have it haha. Email me at mmcalister421@gmail.com and we'll talk about the details.
Put the guard back on that grinder before you cut your finger off
Looool that "StuStuStuuuu" sound is from turbos anti lag directly from the turbo it has nothing to do with a blow off or a dump valve😂😂😂😂
No. It's compressor surge, air being forced back into the turbo rather than being pushed either into atmosphere or recirculating using a bpv or bov
have you or do u need to tune ur car once boosted

Engine 2.5?
Yes it is
yea
But the stu tu tu sound is cooler 😂
No more stutututututuu?
You need a different ECU or piggyback to tune the NA T .so come on tune it im waiting jdm life
You only need a different ecu/piggyback if it’s older than 2006 on Subarus
Yo dude you got you’re address showing. @goldguy
Hmm didn't think about that. Thanks!
@@GoldGuyRides Somebody mail the man a fat check to that address! ;- )
@@TC-bq5ri next minute someone sends him a 12" dildo then he has to explain to his friends or family why there is a huge dildo in the rubbish
You have to go over 5000RPM to hear the stututu
