This is a terrible install, you didn’t even put the bracket back on and now the intercooler is just flopping around and you have a hose with a giant plug just sitting there and the vacuum hose is on top of the brake reservoir 🤦🏻♂️ just terrible!
@@timprice8877 nah bro it vents all to atmosphere they sound fuckin amazing but would need a decent amount of work to make it safe for the car if you put a bov on the subie and it all vents to atmosphere your engine when coming to a stop will feel like it wants to stall that’s just how ours work it runs on the recirculating air
The hose you blocked off is to recirculate air back into the engine for a reason unless you know something subaru design team doesn't know you are just asking for trouble and its not if its when.

These engines were meant for air to recirculate. Releasing it all could make it stall. The stock one is much better for performance. This is just for show and sound. If you REALLY WANT to do it, get an adjustable BOV where you can release some and yoh DONT need a plug or adapters.
That's because you need a BOV that is adjustable, and you can set it 50/50 to release some and recirculate some. These engines don't need a bov like these, it's mainly for sound. The stock ones work better as far as performance goes. These are really meant to recirculate.
You can’t really use blow off valves on a wrx. The wrx uses recirculating air instead of blowing it all out of the car, hence the noise on some cars without recirculation.
HKS has an updated BOV with the full recirculation kit, I suggest you get that one instead and have the air recirculate back the way it was meant to.

@@matrixx860 I mean if you are running a small turbo like a TD04 or VF, turbo will barely loose any spool
I talk to hks them selfs they told me its safe to run it with or with out the reciculateing kit nor tune needed.

@@TurboReaper1 seems it only affects FA the STIs are able to run BOV with not much more than running a little rich. Not bad idle not sure why

Having the same issue. Mine is the long adapter, that shorter one won't fit. What is the lenght of the "shorter one", one you installed?

You will need a Speed/Density Tune on your STI after you install the BOV.

Don’t recommend this it leaks too much and the BOV will damage your spark plugs unless your running a full speed density tune
What do you mean with full speed density tune? Is it when you chip your fuel box?
