    How you hooked your wastegate my turbo don’t have port is it possible to I can hook bottom port on waste gate to intake? And thank for bov info 🔥🤝

    • @BooostedLS
      @BooostedLS  Год назад +3

      Yes, If your turbo does not have a compressor housing fitting, you can just connect a line from the intake manifold fitting to the bottom port of the waste gate. This would control boost pressure if not using a boost controller etc. When intake manifold reaches the same spring pressure as in the waste -gate, the waste gate will open bleeding of pressure, thus controlling boost pressure of the system. If you have a 10 psi spring in waste-gate, your engine will make a maximum of about 10 psi with this configuration.....thanks for watching and commenting.....Oliver

      Still good, although I had to re-position the charge pipe as the configuration in the video didn't clear the ls swap radiator and dual derale fan set-up which is in the car now....thanks for watching and commenting....Oliver

    where do i put my wastegate vacuum im not using a boost controller

    • @BooostedLS
      @BooostedLS  2 года назад

      Right now since my boost controller isn't hooked up either, I'm just running a vacuum line from bottom port of waste gate to the turbo compressor housing pressure port. So basically we are just using waste-gate spring pressure as our governing system to control boost pressure. I have about a 14 p.s.i. spring in my waste-gate. So in theory when boost pressure hits 14 psi the waste-gate should open and prevent over boosting....I'm just testing everything slowly at this point so I've hit about 3 psi before I let of the gas pedal....Thanks for watching and commenting.....Oliver

    Your set up doesn’t have a MAF sensor? Mine does :(

    • @BooostedLS
      @BooostedLS  2 года назад

      That's because my x-max is speed density and uses a map sensor verses a maf sensor. Are you using terminator x as your ECM?. Thanks for watching and commenting.....Oliver

    How did you hook up wastegate

    • @BooostedLS
      @BooostedLS  3 года назад

      I'm planning on just using a manual boost controller initially, as they are cheap and they work well. What I usually do when I'm first trying out the turbo charger is I just connect a vacuum hose from the compressor pressure port ( nipple ) directly to the bottom port of the waste-gate. What this does is it just limits boost pressure to the same as waste - gate pressure. So in my case about 14 psi, as I believe this is the pressure of the springs in my waste - gate. I'll definitely make a video going over the hook-up of the waste - gate once I get to that point. You can see how the waste- gate actuates in this video here at this link.... ruclips.net/video/FPqMai5el0I/видео.html ...thanks for watching...Oliver

    How do u get it to run without maf sensor

    • @BooostedLS
      @BooostedLS  3 года назад +3

      Speed density systems do their work first by measuring the temperature of the inlet air and then the manifold pressure via a manifold air pressure sensor, or MAP sensor. They then calculate a density of air with which the ECU can calculate how much fuel it needs. The Holley Terminator X-max is a speed density system....Thanks for watching....

      Dude I was looking for something like this!!! My inexperience led me to just go ahead and by VS racing and I’ll attempt to weld the aluminum flange to my stainless IC pipping. However, The one aspect I leaned towards was that there’s a Vs racing store In Dallas, 2 hrs away and I knew I wouldn’t have to worry about Chinese parts getting stuck out on the west coast port haha!

      That's okay as the higher the exhaust temp, the higher velocity the gas speed will be. As a result it will drive the turbine wheel harder and faster for quicker spool-up and boost.
