My relocating is why you moved: better life, going forward. I have no reason to stay where I am. Not a good paying job, my parents are deceased, and my siblings are doing their own thing and I am miserable. I need a change. This is an EXCELLENT video! Thank you!!!
I have fam in the Dallas area, currently live in CA near immediate fam but the rent out here is the highest in the US...so I'm moving to perhaps a "better situation."
Eventually planning on relocating alone for the second time in my life. It’s been awhile, 11 years though. Thanks for this video because I’ve been nervous.
Built4Anything yes I am planning to move from California to Oklahoma on my own I have a best friend there but I need and want independence and I want to grow and plus I can’t afford to live my own here.
I’m relocating to Arizona in 2021...53 years old, empty nester, both parents deceased. Want to just start over on my own, I’m cool with being alone!!!!
I relocated cross country twice in life independently. It gives you a sense of pride not having to rely on others and knowing you made your move on your own. Its a struggle to do it alone in the beginning, but it eventually all works itself out. When its for the better and will put you in a better place mentally, physically and financially then go for it. RELOCATE!
Great video. I relocated alone from Atlanta to Dallas two months ago. Also, I relocated prior from VA to Atlanta...and lived in the A for 15 plus years alone no family. Now here in Dallas with no family ..but all is good. It strengthens me!
If you dont mind me asking, as a woman alone, what do you think was the hardest thing for you moving the first time? Im 24 and planning on moving alone (only 4 hrs away to Austin) before the end of the year. I believe I can do it successfully, its just Ive never lived anywhere other than here in my hometown, so I do have some concerns.
moccalatte13 The drive for me from Atlanta to Colorado is a big one. Never traveled alone and first time on my own period. About nervous about driving my car for those long hours after i do fly
Made the move from Atlanta 2 months ago . I went back and forth in my head for years about relocating and leaving family & friends behind . Today I can say it’s the best thing I’ve done for myself. I’m making more money than I ever made and growing and learning what I truly want in life . Even tho I’m far away my mom is my biggest supporter.
I’m so glad I came across your page. I plan on changing cities within the next two years. Some of my family say I need to stay close, but I want to better myself and not feel guilty.
This video is resonating with me right now because I am at the point where I feel stuck and unhappy where I am. So many bad memories and heartbreaking experiences can be exhausting in all aspects, but I'm at the point where I'm miserable and don't see myself settling down where I am. It's a battle that I no longer want to endure. I've been planning and researching for the past 2-3 days just to start off. This has been something on my conscious for a year now and I decided to wait it out thinking that things would change. But recently after another failed attempt at a relationship I feel no desire to stay where I am, it was almost like the last straw for me.
Good upload sir. By God's grace a year from now I will be moving. I have a state in mind, but God may say otherwise. I am so ready to move. I have been traveling within the states alone to different cities to get a feel and it felt great. Traveling alone is liberating to me. I encourage other to it. Everyone needs time alone. Away from the monotony.
This was a very inspirational video!! I’m 27 and been very depressed for the last year and I’ve decided to sell all my collectibles and comics and invest toward a better future for myself
Yea, I don’t wanna leave my family behind because I will miss them, but I have to put MYSELF first! I need a better life! Just gotta make them realize that!
I struggled with that since college. I've moved back and forth from the south back to NY several times. I'd say this now being in my 40s life is better in the south. The better the life the more attractive it becomes to your family and hopefully they move.
Thank u so much im Moving to ga from nyc alone leaving everything behind to start a new life and i was nervous at first but this inspired me ..u never know who ur goin to meet or what a new life has to offer ..never let fear keep u from living your lifee !! 🙏🏽
Thank you for sharing I am in my late 40's and I am heading that way to north Dallas hoping to nail a great medical job and find a great apt me myself and I coming from philly so ready to be their but if everything works out I should be their in June a leap in Faith amen in chapter in my life
It has definitely been cold! We relocated last year from NY to North Dallas. Me, my boyfriend, and our two girls. Overall it was the best decision but we left all of our family behind and sometimes it gets lonely. With that said, I've met lots of neighbors and started my baking business, so there's a lot of opportunity to grow and figure things out. My daughters school is also amazing.
MemeAthroughZ that’s awesome! Welcome to Texas and I’m glad you settled in. It can feel lonely at times but that’s normal. It takes time to build a solid network of people. Thanks for watching!
Yes I'm from nc and I wanna move to Texas as well. Love your opinion it's your choice. Family and friends going to do what they wanna do. Your moving to positive experience.
Thank you for this. I am relocating in a week and feeling anxious and nervous. I know it’s the right thing and the right time though. Your words have helped a lot!
I appreciate the insight bro! I’m 28. I’ve lived 3 different cities in Texas so far. The last big city I lived in was in Austin, then had to move back to my hometown during the pandemic. I’ve spent the last 2 and a half years trying to convince myself to stay and slow down, but there’s not a lot to satisfy myself. Your words that “you need to be happy to be able to be there for others” really hit.
honestly wish i knew you in real life. The things you said is EXACTLY how I feel. I come from a small town and everyone here is so comfortable accomplishing nothing and I just want more for my life. Wanting to move from michigan to dallas and its through your words that I found courage to do that. Thank you and bless you 💕🥺
Good vid, great points, and to the point. My husband and I just moved from OH to AZ. I was comfortable and not pressed 2 move. However, i realized why not change up things. I needed 2 push myself and its been cool. Yes, we had to kind of start over. However, it has helped put some life experiences into perspective.
I relocated to N.C. alone 3 years back. One thing I'd say is visit the city you wanna move to 1st. Pick a few places on your list. Widen out, prey, and network!! Its worth the experience. I'm thinking about my mext move alone 😘😍...great advice!!
I love ur video dude I myself relocating alone it was one of the most single blessed decision I have made for myself I moved from Phoenix to Seattle 14 years ago it was hard to adjust the frist year but I got threw it and I'm happy for the betterment I did for myself I just want to say we live in a day in age where we are so connected in social media it's not like it use to be in the 1950s where when u moved away it was goodbye of forever all it takes now a days is to just pick up ur phone to connect to someone you love more power to all of you for doing selfs a favor and leveling up in ur life's god bless
Awesome video. I just made the decision to move back closer to family after making that fearless move relocating to NYC 10 years ago.. Now circumstances have changed and back home is better. So it's a process either direction.
Awesome video! I relocated to Dallas with 2 sorority sisters but ended up alone due to both moving back home. It was hard at first but ultimately made me a better person. The advice I always give is to not visit home (if you can, but sometimes things happen) for at least 6 months. Anyway, hope you stay in Dallas, it looks good on you!
I don't normally comment alot but I wanted to say that this video helped me confirm my motives for my big move in a month. Thanks for posting this, you're very insightful.
I'm on the same boat.. planning on transferring through my job to Houston,TX from California alone.. i will leave all my family behind but honestly don't see myself living here any longer, i love my state to death! but the high cost of living here is eating me alive!... Very nice video btw
I agree with you be more comfortable with where you are, make you like death river, stagnant. Sometimes you must smashing your life, this is only we can get changed
I needed this video! I’ve been in the same small town area for 17 years and I’m very successful and comfortable but I do feel stagnant. I’m relocating in 60 days and my emotions are all out of wack. I want more out of life I want to be able to explore and experience new things (maybe meet my husband 🥴😂). My family doesn’t want me to leave and I’m nervous and scared and I’m sad and excited at the same time. I keep randomly crying about it lol but I know this is apart of the process and it’s part of transition and I can do this!!
I feel like I’m always stuck hearing “trust me, just trust it will get better, trust it will work out” listen. I TRUSTED that you were answering deal breaking questions honestly. You can’t tell someone you’re down to relocate and then get irritated that the same person who said they wanted to leave on the first date.... still wants to leave 🙄🙄🙄 some lessons are just learned period. love what you had to stay staying somewhere where you’re unhappy is only going to shorten your life in the long run.
Wow I luv this video! I'm gonna relocate alone with three children. I'm scared but this video gave me encouragement. Thank u. Looking to move to Texas from NY
🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹 you’re speaking to me now brother lol. I really am thinking of relocating, I do have support from my family (my dad is nervous lol) but I have that feeling. Thank you for your videos
I'm driving down there tomorrow. I'm leaving my grown daughter in MD. She's doing exceptionally well but It's kinda hard leaving her because I'm a single parent and it's always been her and I against the world. But like you said, I'm looking ahead to the future and a better life for myself: mentally, physically, spiritually and financially. I know I can't do it here...
Tracy ...Wow!! That’s my same scenario, my date to leave MN is 2/27/18 - I termed my lease. I really don’t have any other choice now 😩🙏🏿Cheers to new beginning. Safe travels. #itsourtime

You are taking care of you in order to take care of others.... VERY true... I saw how it can be when your miserable where you are.... Thanks by the way, this cleared by head a bit.
Thank you for this! Really took so much out of this video. I am moving out of state within the next few weeks, so this was very helpful. Appreciate you fam.
Digging the vids bro.. been to dallas last september for a week. From Jersey and dying to get out. Thinking about finishing school down there for business since the area seems to be booming. Love how chill it is down there.
I live in New York close to family and friends who I love with a decent paying job but that right there is not healthy cause I dont have passion with the job I've been working for seven years. So I am thinking of moving to California by the summer. I haven't given the message to the people I love dearly cause I am afraid of the response I might get. But it's my life and I wanna get to do what makes ME Happy.
professor righteous exactly my friend! We can love our loved ones from a distance. Do what makes you happy. You’ll be a better person because of it! Thanks for watching!
Im dropping everything in GA and moving to CO in a few weeks I'm so nervous/anxious/excited my eye has been twitching lmao. I do have bills so I have already been scheduling interviews for right when I get there. If you keep saying I will wait to save more $ or debt free it'll never happen so I am making it happen with what I got. Wish me luck into the unknown!
My parents are getting older and I have some family problems I'm moving. Have around 1k but I can probably get a loan. Thinking about moving to Oregon, Maine, Baltimore, idk. I want to invite my friends and family over after I'm established and be proud of what I have built from scratch.
Great post, I'm from NYC and thinking about relocating to Dallas with my daughter and significant other leaving my sisters and parents behind and struggle with that fact. I have a great job but desire more. Great video, I needed to see this. Please keep the videos about relocationing coming.
How you doing 5 years later? Do you have any regrets about relocating? Would you do anything differently? I'm in a position where I'm thinking about moving to a new city and I'm curious how things have played out for you long-term.
I always wanted to relocate out of NC and I was scared to leave my family behind. Actually I was looking into Dallas, that's how I found your videos on YT to get a feel of what to expect. Thanks for the positive message. 😎
