I’ve been watching your videos over the past couple of days. I’d like to thank you for the great information and I’m happy to be a new subscriber. I moved to a new city and didn’t know a single soul. I went to a club one night and asked this girl where the bathroom was because I could feel my anxiety coming on and just needed to breathe. She walked me to the bathroom and 12 years later she is my best friend and we are the sister each of us never had. God will place the right people in your life. Go for it!

It's hard to meet new ppl especially in today's world ppl are so stuck with the mindset of if we didn't go to HS together or been knowing each other for years they dont really want to invest the time into meeting new friends because it's to much work to gain that new trust & loyalty in ppl.
Seriously....im going to be 30 this year and it feels like its impossible to male new friends as an adult

I just recently moved for a new job and people are 100% stuck in their ways. Which is okay. I meet people but it's nothing like havin your friends you grew up with or went to HS with. I dont trust anyone. I dont wanna go to people homes and I'm not much of a club person.
True in HS you are forced to become friends but outside in the open no walls force you to know anyone so it is tough what i recommend is joining. A program or group chat or discord good luck my boi

Built4Anything actually will be in Arlington tomorrow for a conference, I’ll probably stay there for the weekend and visit. My lease is up in Feb so I’m very serious about this. Lots of girl making these type of videos but this was the first video i saw from a guy and it helps a lot. Thanks for the vid man. Im currently living in NY but planning on moving down to Texas hopefully by the end of the year just cuz im sick of the cold and just want a change in scenery and lifestyle and just something new for a change of pace i guess. Always been a "safe" type of guy who think twice about what I do and scare of changes but I said im 24 now and think im ready for a big change and see if it work if not I can alway move back. @@chuckielong1 I'm contemplating Dallas or San Antonio. Austin Ive read is way too expensive nowadays, and it has too much traffic. Dallas is also congested but more jobs than San Antonio from what I see. I'm going to Dallas for a week on Cinco de mayo and hopefully will visit the major cities. When are u going?
Zaroc Boi one of my college friend recently got a job down in Dallas as an IT he loves it out there. A couple of my friend also visit dallas recently for a vaca and they said it was really fun there with a crap ton of stuff to do. But im plannin on moving around i say late oct or december. Deff by end of the year for sure. Lmk how u like dallas, alway wanted to visit never had a chance to doe haha

Just moved to NC from Florida it’s my first week here and the waterworks started today. 😭😭 I had to get out today because every little thing annoyed me, I’m sick of not having furniture, never felt more lost and alone. 🥴🤣 Whew child tomorrow I’m going to the gym maybe that’ll help. Trying to be patient and embrace the new chapter! 😮💨🙏🏽

Thanks for the tip big bro. I jus moved to SF from SoCal for a job outta college. Makin a social life/ dealing w loneliness in a new city is the real true struggle ; everything else kinda falls in place (in my experience).

Thanks so much for this! I moved to Ft.Worth back in December for a job and its been tough but this does offer some direction. I find myself spending so much time in Dallas because it has more to offer as far as my interest go. But I will give it some time to see what Ft.Worth has to offer.

I'm in Australia, I just "clicked" with someone at school and we have been best mates since. Even though they moved to the other side of the country and are now back but still a while away from where I live, we keep in contact all the time.
I wont isolate if I don't absolutely have to. I tried bars in the past where there were a lot of regulars and abiding by their standards of normal, then Trivia Nights at bars being the only one playing, I think I'm going to try what my dad advised and attend toastmasters public speech sessions and write really amateur musings I only dedicated myself like half an hour for just about a petty topic i struggled with that week and how I can make it into a humorous anecdote, since its all for fun anyways, hopefully I can meet someone like minded who appreciates such an en devour.

I've been planning to move since the beginning of 2019. Now that I finally leave tomorrow I'm gettin real bad anxiety and I feel depressed. I need this job opportunity but I dont wanna be far from my mom. I'm 25 and I need to eventually grow up but Its hard.

i moved to a predominantly "Non black" city in Canada for school ....i must say its hard feeling alienated and getting different looks from people... i'm definitely moving from this city when i'm done but i wanna give it a try at least man ...thanks for the advice though

Do you think someone with social anxiety will be able to make friends in a new city?
It's possible you could meet people you work with or people who live near you. But it's hard. I have bad anxiety but somehow people gravitate towards me. I'm not a big talker and I dont like to go out. I'm really a introvert and its hard to get out of it

Appreciate your channel, and experiences on living in Dallas. I recently relocated from Nashville, TN to Atlanta, GA with my wife and sons because it was a great professional opportunity for her. It's been an experience for me as well, which leads me to seriously looking elsewhere. You can make your own conclusions from there. :) I'm basically sold on relocating to the DFW area, but don't know what the job market is like there or the business climate is there. (I'm transitioning out of tech into creative (ie. Web, Social & Mobile) and looking to ultimately work for myself.)
On another note, what type of camera are you using or is it a filter or something because the quality is great. Are you bringing your video into FinalCut or something else? Either way, great video, and good audio. I've subscribed. Keep up the good work.

i have such a hard time, i just moved to houston by myself and im very friendly. i meet ppl everywhere (mostly women) but they are always fake. they laugh and talk with me at that moment but thats where it stops. They either give me the wrong number or even if it is the real number, they never communicate with me through the phone. i could understand if i was a weirdo but im not, i am a real down to earth person. im giving up. Mabye im meant to be a loner.
MultiFungirl123 you got to ditch that negative mindset. Give it time. Build a social network of people. They’ll introduce you to other people. Work on yourself constantly. People will gravitate to someone who loves his own company. They’ll want to know why. Good luck to you! 👊🏾

First of all, you need to get out of that house or apartment. Staying at home is the worse thing someone can do with depression. Try to make contact with people at your job or church is a great way to get started meeting people. Dallas does have a rather nice percentage of people from India. You shouldn't have too big of a problem making friends. It is hard starting out making new friends when you first come to a new city. Take your time and be open with others and you should be alright. Go to a movie or a park to get out of the house. Give yourself some time but you gotta still get out of the house while you are waiting to make new friends.

probably above the average cost because of the accessibility to nearby events, bars and close to uptown. It's worth it to me not to be stuck in a big house in the middle of nowhere with no reception. lol
