Built4Anything thanks for your advice and insight on moving to Dallas....I just got here this past Friday and your videos really helped me get acclimated prior to my first visit.... appreciate it bro!
Built4Anything Moved out here from Seattle and love it! I have been here now since 97’ and will never go back. Summers are a bitch but that’s why we have A/C.
Where are you in Dallas? How is the law enforcement? What area do mostly black people live? I'm not a racist or anything just a lil more comfortable around people like me.
K Beckom I live in North Dallas. The law enforcement is Ok if you are in the Dallas city limits. They typically don’t mess with you if your not committing serious offenses but the suburbs are a different story. The worst places for policing are - - Highland Park (Do not drive through here in an old vehicle because they will stop you. This is the Bubble and only super wealthy live here) - Garland (These cops are total dicks. They are what you would think of as storm troopers) - Farmers Branch (Don’t speed because they will get you every time. They are mostly concerned with writing tickets and tracking down illegals) As far as where most blacks live its really a mix. The area that people associate with the African American side of town would be south of downtown (South Dallas, Oak Cliff, Cedar Hill, Duncanville) however, Dallas has a lot of pockets. The more affluent blacks live in North Dallas near Addison. There is Skillman Audelia which is high crime and drug infested. Pleasant Grove which is crime infested. Its best to stay in the North but if you do live south, there are really nice parts of Oak Cliff. South Dallas is pretty much where the poorest of the poor live, as well as Pleasant Grove. I would say almost any place in Dallas you will find African Americans except Highland Park, University Park which is mostly rich white people.

I actually mention it several times in other videos. That was my primary reason. This video was more about what I observed in the time I arrived to Dallas. Thanks for watching!
I grew up in Dallas and it's hot in the summer, the traffic sucks, and there is no public transportation compared to NYC. WE HAVE A SAYING....If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. There are great restaurants, nightclubs, and many things to do. If you don't drive or want to drive, it's virtually impossible to get around. Best advice to you is smile anywhere in the world you are. Texans, in general, are friendly and welcoming. I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina with a population of 14 million and we have the best public transportation in South America.
As an Argentinian born and raised I can safely say that our public transport network is really far reaching but it’s really badly organized, there are strikes often and you have to at least know two or three different routes in case one of the buses/trains/metro lines you take goes down.
I'm a Dallas native. Been here forever and the cost of living is rising due to all of you coming to Dallas. Those of us who are from here are seeing the impact In terms of pricing changes. But I still think it's cool to have Chicagoans/New Yorkers/Californians here in my city. Just has its cons having y'all move over here lol
I can understand that. But I also see a lot of new development. Which means more people to work and construct. More business developed. I love the city! Texas is huge!!! There's room for all of us. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Built4Anything Do you have any recommendations for in jobs versus Houston? My lease is up, soon like Oct. 3rd here. Im looking to relocate to another part of TX for a permanent job, 😞. Its getting discouraging b cause Ive been here for a few yrs. now. I may have to pickup & go back to Cali. Cause all Ive been finding is temp. Jobs in Houston that are not going anywhere...🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🙈
Special K 98 not sure. I wish I did. Keep looking though. You may have to consider another field of work if it's not working out. Good luck. Thanks for watching
The property value on my condo has risen almost 20%. Bought in 2004. Just trying to hang on to it because my payment is still lower than rental rates.(but hoa is trying to fuck me) Taxes are increasing though. At the same time I'm loving how my birth city has become a new mecca. Makes me proud.
Aye brother I just got finished watching most of your videos and you are very insightful on moving to Dallas Tx. Born and raised in Brooklyn myself I to am ready for change so me and the wife are moving to Dallas in 3 months and beyond ready lol. Thank God we have some friends that will help us transition from NYC to Tx so it's a blessing to say the least. Much love and success bro. I'll be watching. #salute
Moving to Dallas from Seattle soon and really glad I found this video! I grew up in Plano, but haven't been back to Texas since I was 11. Also-- you're very eloquent! You very rarely say "um" or "like". Fairly rare for a monologue-type speech. Thanks again!
My husband I are also thinking of moving to Dallas from Seattle. Cost of living in Seattle is ridiculous, every house is a bidding war and it’s a shitty fixer upper and I’m over the nine months of rain.
glad I ran across your video bro. I'm in Florida now but I'm interviewing with a company out in the DFW area.. Great video great insight .. thanks a lot
do do it Carlos go to Houston. ..or some place else it's not for you . I thank God I'm out of that place every day...really I'm not just making a point. .if u go anyway in about six months remember u were warned
Great video. Just a caveat: do NOT move to Texas unless you first check it out in the summertime. The place is WICKED HOT. A typical summer day is 102-104 (air temperature, not the heat index, it's even higher with the heat index). Some years you have more than 60 days of 100 + degree temperatures. Summer there lasts from early May to October and it's not unheard of to have 90 + degree days in March and April. And in case you were hoping, it's not a dry heat, except in the far western portion of the state. Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston are NOT dry. Houston is a sauna, much like New Orleans.
I live in Dallas, its a very dry heat. I have also lived in Florida, thats humid, you are wrong about the weather, anyone that compares Dallas and Houston weather is crazy. 🤣🤣🤣 Houston is crazy hot and humid, Dallas is less and hot and very dry.
I currently live in New York AND IM OVER IT. I'm 22, I have 1 year left at my school so I know I will get a good job with my BS degree. I got excited about becoming an adult when I realized I could move and do what I want 🙌🏾🙌🏾. Thank you keep the videos coming ! #newsubbie
Jenny wilde I thank you would love Dallas I been here my whole life and it has changed in a major way. Being from Dallas is new to people who been here Over 30 it's just always extending.
1000% true! lol I’m from Brooklyn, NY moved to Dallas January, 2015. So far so good here specially if you like hassle free life then Dallas is better than NYC! 😊
Kazi Shams Hi kazi shams I have a question pls if you can help me I’m thinking to move to Dallas from Seattle and I’m scared of Reptiles like snakes bcz I hear from people that when it’s summer time they come out Did you see or hear from neighbor Thank you
YOU ARE A BLESSING!!! thank you!! Now I know what to get when I get there....a CAR! I am planning to study at El Centro. I am from Auckland, NZ. This is heaven sent!
I was recently in Dallas and loved it. I met someone in the gym and immediately I was invited to go out to work out and then the club. I'm in the process of relocating there, I was really looking into Atlanta but Dallas has won me over for sure. You are right Dallas is predominantly Caucasian but there is still a good mixture of Latino and black people too and from what I saw they all mesh together. The Mexican food is awesome I loved it my favorite brunch dish was the huevos rancheros.
Welcome to Dallas sir! Im seeing more and more NY and NJ license plates in Dallas..not to mention Cali and everyone else's. Its also a second home for Chicagoans. Remember the more people we get here the better and more diverse the culture and scene will become. I was born here and have seen it change. Some people have scattered to the north suburbs. I say screw that! I love staying in Dallas proper and own my condo here. Its becoming more dense and urban and the cranes are sprouting highrises which I love. Don't forget to try out the DART rail system. Its expanding and hopefully will be on par with Chi/NY/LA someday. There are also rumors of a subway coming. Whoo! Our summers since the horrible 2011 have actually been kind of mild. Hopefully wont be too bad this year but remember it doesnt last forever. Glad you are here. You seem like good people!
smi Lee 2011 had 65 consecutive days over 100 degrees. It was horrible. I almost wanted to move and I'm a native. Since then the summers haven't been bad at all. Actually mild. What's odd is that 2011 was the same year we hosted the SBowl and had our "blizzard"..Bi polar weather haha.
smi Lee Dallas doesn't flood like Houston. Houston's buffalo bayou is not draining out the excess water correctly because there is too much concrete everywhere. Dallas is more hilly and not completely flat (though people say we are..we actually have a mini hill country on the SW side.) so if it floods it just pools in certain areas.
Yah... Everything you mention, is what I am going through. I haven't find no caribbean market or restaurant as yet. (If you find one let me know). The cost of living is great compare to the Bronx. Make sure you get a good health insurance plan (It can be costly). Cedar Hill is the one area where I saw the most black people. I miss the mountain and trail we had in NYC. Dallas trails are a joke. P.S check out Cedar Ridge preserve.... You will fall in love.
Definitely right about Cedar Hill! Its a great area to buy a house btw, and there are more black owned businesses near Cedar Hill, Desoto, and Duncanville than places in north Dallas. Good Caribbean food is definitely hard to come by though. There's Heroes Lounge in Dallas... the vibe is good but the food is just ok.
I was born and raise in D-Town and there two Jamaican restaurant in Dallas one in North Oak Cliff and the other is in South Dallas also there three Cuban restaurants in Dallas as well if you want Caribbean food Never been to the one that was listed above me
I am really glad I saw this. I maybe moving there soon. I have lived in Texas before and just loved it. I really hope you are still enjoying Texas almost a year later.
This was very helpful! New York girl here looking to move to Dallas , I’m in my late 20’s and looking for a new way of life .. everything you mentioned in so ready to pick my bags lol. But if course that’s your opinion so I’ll definitely take a mini vacation to get a feel of it , but thanks for the video
Excellent video, I'm Brazilian and I'm currently living in Connecticut. But I'm thinking of moving to Texas. Your video was very enlightening, Thanks. 😃
I'm Texas born and raised and have been around the world. Yes, the Lone Star State can absolutely invest in light rail and, I daresay, subways of some kind or another. What Texas Central is doing is absolutely on the right track and there should be more high speed rail and light rail in the cities and subways. It will only make it a better place to live.
The job market has been hot the whole time I been in Dallas I can remember getting fired from one job and had another new job that night I have been employed sense I been here why I came have not been disappointed with that job market
I’m from Brooklyn and I plan on moving South. It’s time for me to go. NEW YORK’s hyper-liberalism is driving me insane. I need peace and quiet. I don’t know why I’ve been drawn to Texas. My sister was born there but moved up here. I just need more info. How much money did you have in your pocket and where were you working before you moved?
I'm so glad I came across this video. Very helpful! My husband is currently applying and interviewing for jobs in the Dallas area. We're both 100% done with NYC (Bronx) and ready to go. My dad lives in San Antonio. I've been searching every city near Dallas. I'm glad you mentioned about schools as we have 2 girls (so now I can check some of the cities you mentioned). One question, how was apartment searching? I found 2 beautiful communities in Irving & Arlington and decided to Google them. The reviews are so poor. Then I checked reviews for like 20 random places (expensive and cheap) and the reviews are like 3 stars and below. Its rare to find a 4 star. Again thanks! I'm looking to get back into RUclips full time when I get over there.
Apartment searching can be a huge pain here. I ran across the same issues while I was looking so I'd love to try and help! I would suggest researching better neighborhoods (good schools, low crime, whatever your family needs) and finding the ones that interest you then looking for apartment communities in those areas. There are SO MANY communities stuffed into small areas so if you don't have a set area in mind it could be overwhelming. My next tip would be to look at the area around the apartment communities using google street view maps, they can be very telling. Also take some consideration to activities your family likes or stores that you are fond of. Those can also help you pick an area to live in. I would highly suggest considering your commute. It's not a lie when they say traffic is really bad here. I live in North Dallas and I love the area. I'm very close (within 5-10 minutes) to 3 large malls, tons of strip malls with MORE shops, restaurants, so many grocery stores (seriously, even multiples), multiple libraries, people parks, dog parks, basically anything you want or need. Plus I'm only a 20 minutes from downtown (if the traffic is good). On a side note, Arlington is also really well priced and I have friends that love it there. Plus you're sososos close to six flags :D
I'm in NY as well and am planning on moving this Summer. I'm as much excited as scared cause I will be moving just with my 11yr old son. I have been chatting with ppl that know Dallas and I have been told every single time to stay away from Irving. I was told by all that anywhere North Dallas is good and to avoid South Dallas. Hope that's any help. Best of luck to us both...lol.
Great review I am originally from California I've been in Dallas for 2 years. I chose to live in downtown Dallas cause it feels more like home. People here are very kind and I love that. I'm newly vegan and ran across your channel keep Sharing!
You hit it right on the head. I am blown away by the kindnest honestly. Where I come from you don't make eye contact unless you want a problem. lol. Congrats on finding veganism!! I'm always happy to see someone who wakes up. I have plenty of content on being vegan and more to come. Thanks for watching!!!
thanks for the video! im from ct.ive recently went to plano and fell in love! it will be home in a couple months. the potential for growth and opportunities are far more than what is offered here!
Hi! I might move from CT to the Dallas area as well! I wanna know, how do you like it? Do you miss CT? And in terms of safety, how would you recommend it? And what is the safest neighborhood?
I’m from NYC myself,Washington Heights to be exact. I just moved to L.A,2 1/2 months ago,but I would LOVE to visit Texas! My career gives me flexibility to work in any state & travel with my work,so this video was very helpful 👍🏾 thanks.
im dallas born and raised, but lived in nyc for over 20 yrs and just relocated back last year. Let me say this, I lived in BK and if you on that Brooklyn shit like i was, youre gonna love it. The bitches love it
Bro. My favorite part was your last line. "No matter what life throws at you, you are built for anything!" I'm really looking to move to Plano. Little bro lives out there with his wife and wife's fam. I'm a nurse from Bay Area, Ca. Prices out here is ridiculous. Been researching and even contacted my first potential employer out there Irving its about a 40 min drive SW of Plano. I'm getti g excited just thinking of it. I just need that one good reason to do it. We are expecting a child this November so we're thinking of making the move after. But man it seems like a great idea.
I like what you say about meeting people. We should all be open to meeting all kinds of people. You won't lose out, and you'll find we're basically the same.
Thank You so much!!! ...so far everything I have seen and read makes me think that I will be happy in Dallas. I know someone that moved to the Mckinney area and he loves it. What are your thoughts on that area? I have been looking into the Frisco area...my friend says that Frisco is expensive but when I compared what he pays for rent and an apt I saw, it's only a difference of $200 so it doesn't seem that much more expensive to me. Would love to hear your thoughts:)
Julissa Severino Frisco is good for schools. More residential. Cool area. McKinney ave is more to do. McKinney town is more expensive than both and more secluded also good for schools.
Thank You for your feedback. I just finished watching some video on Plano. All these suburbs look so nice that I'm not sure where to focus on...lol. Again Thank You sooo much!!!
Thank you so much for this video, i live in Queens NYC and work in Tribeca and it's killing me, I'm done with the crowded subways, rude people and high taxes I want out. 2 more years and I plan to put out at most 50k on a home and get a job in fitness/restaurant whatever it is I don't care if I have to work retail or clean toilets I DON'T CARE I just want out GET ME OUT OF NEW YORK CITY PLEASE!!!!!!!!! Awesome video
edge2991 I have to agree 💯 with you on that. NYC and NJ we're I'm from is like living in hell every day of your life, much success with your move bro.....
Ive lived in dallas for 18 years and now I've been in Houston for 10 years. The public transportation is dallas is far superior to houston. Cheaper. Easier to navigate and will get u farther into suburbs if need be. The people in Houston are more interesting. Dallas people act like people from small towns, they are into 1 thing, that's it. They never venture away from the same few places they go.. Dallas has a cooler more distinguishable skyline. Jobs in both cities are easy to find. In my opinion, finding affordable apartments was easier in dallas. And in dallas u don't have to live a shit hole area to find a $400 apartment (tollway and Frankford area, Frankford and marsh etc). Dallas has a more obvious drug problem (cheese heroin is a real issue all over dallas area). Houston seems to easier to travel around without ending up in dangerous places. The traffic is Houston is for the most part worse than Dallas. Although I35 and 635in North dallas are always horrible. The highway systems are very similar in both cities. Big loops (635 and LBJ in dallas and 610 and beltway 8 in Houston) with intersecting highways running north and south (D=35,75,45 H=59,45,249,288) east and west (D=20,30 H= 10) Dallas feels like a city mostly interested looking important and fancy or successful and Houston is more laid back with more country Texan vibe. Also Houston has a big problem with smash and grab atm robberies and "juggin"
good insight. although Dallas is not as affordable as it once was. when I married the second time, we bought a house and our payment for a 3 bedroom was $550 a month(granted, this was off overton road and Lancaster by the VA hospital.) and to your comment about the people, it seems that you have a lot of people from small Oklahoma, east Texas and west Texas towns, to whom Dallas is just like NYC or LA, and people from NYC and LA who view Dallas as a small Texas town. Another thing about Dallas is you cant always tell if you are in a dangerous area by the looks of it. For example the redbird area in west oak cliff is all nice brick homes, but a lot happens out there
Most people live in the suburbs and drive to their jobs in Dallas. Hence the traffic. But the state is building highways damn fast for that issue. As they expect to grow by 1M more in the next 5 years. North of Dallas is growing. All the high tech jobs are out their. One reason it's growing so fast. As it used to be farm land 20 years ago. And you are right. It's a big sports town. As I worked on the Cowboy stadium when it was being built. We had shit loads of Yankees from New York to pick on... :)
IF u have to deal with traffic move to L.A., diverse, creative, accepting and lots of open minded beautiful, hip, loving people; with great weather, all the time!
@@Built4Anything I"m from NYC also - lived in L.A., most of my life - first it was great now, L.A. is doable...but if I had not been there for 20 years...I would run there. Northern Cal is doable too. expansive minds is the key.- it's good to travel. I like diversity, it is easy to say - we are open, but , how would you know if you live in a segregated area. It's Like not being a racist but living in Portland! Lol. We need to live in unity to grow. Just sayin...
Very educative, I lived in NYC for 2yrs before moving to Ohio. I drove to Houston once and it's very hot. I mean hot hot. But I loved it. But my wife doesn't like driving. But we are moving. So between Houston and Dallas which one is more of less traffic. Everything is big in Texas indeed
Cameron Guess I believe it is. I love Dallas so far. Driving around can be annoying at first tho. Just do your research. I'm sure there's more pros than cons for you. Good luck!
Cameron Guess did you move yet? I'm from MS but live in ATL I'm moving next month. I was plan on moving to Houston but due to the hurricane I have to change my plans. So Dallas is next on my list please write me back
Great video. Hoping to move there within the next 6-9 months. Great points about diversity, I've also heard a lot about the segregation in the DFW area but I agree with your take on it
Great video man! I’m 24 years old, and potentially moving to Dallas full time for a job. I have spent a couple summers in frisco so I’m kind of familiar with the general area. I was wondering if you had any recommendations, for my age, of areas I should take a look at or specific apartments?
I grew up here in Dallas and I agree with Built4anything. Even though we are a "big" city, we are not really diverse. We have 3 main races, Mexican, Black, and White if you go out to Richardson, there is a big Arab community, and if you go out to Carrollton you will find Korean community. We do not really have an effective public transportation. Our streets are not really in a "grid" form like straight up and down, they kind of spiral in and out and then all of a sudden you're on another street so it's kind of hard to get around without a gps, unless you grew up here and know the city.
Very helpful info. Moving to Dallas from the Midwest. I've never been, but I know it's the right move for me. Thanks for sharing! (p.s.- you sound like Mendeecees :-) )
I'm from michigan and I have job offers for dallas and new york ! Im stuck because I have never visited dallas before. Your video was very helpful. How is the night life, networking, and any other leisure activities there?
Great video, thanks. I grew up in MA and live in SF now. I am no longer in love with SF, and Austin seems like it'd have a lot of what I want to get away from. Hope to visit Dallas.
Jonathan Moore ATX might be fun because of the party scene due to the college campus across Downtown UTA. But that city is so tiny and over populated. It does have a nice river to canoe on and a nice park. But too crowded.
I’m thinking of relocating from Long Island to Dallas. Have you encountered in strange wild life or enormous bugs one might not see in NYC? When I lived in Virginia during my college days, I noticed, the bugs were on steroids. Just curious.
Good info! What areas would you say are the best place to live? Im thinking about moving to Addison or Denton.. Im moving down there from Nebraska.. Where is the "bad" part of town?
Great video, I am planning to move to Dallas next year from Jersey city, New Jersey. My question is should I find a job before I move or just move, I work as a registered nurse in New York hopefully will everything work out fine praying.
Nidhin Kandacheriveetil Im Not In Texas But I Do Know Since You’re In The Medical Field You Should Apply To Medical Registries/Temporary Agencies That Specialize In Placing People In Your Field.
I live in Southern Maryland and I hate the fact that everyone is trying to move to the DC area. The DMV (DC Maryland Virginia) is too small for everybody to be coming here, that’s why I wanna move to Texas. I don’t like the city life I like living in the Suburbs. Great video anyways dude thank you!
Dallas sounds really nice, I'm definitely moving out of San Diego within a year. For me it's either Dallas TX or Tampa FL. My biggest con for me is I don't like the Dallas sports teams (Mavericks, Cowboys, etc). I could ignore the sports culture in this city right? Dallas does look like a place for good economic opportunities.
Owen Kanaway Dallas love their home teams. I don’t support any of them. Lol. I still love it here. No issues. I’d say Texas over Florida any day! Come visit. Thanks for watching!
I'm currently in Tampa and am looking at moving to Dallas. Dallas seems to have a strong culture/character, it knows what it is. Tampa and alot of Florida is an identity crisis, excluding Miami. Lots of diversity, but everything just feels too commercialized. Just my opinion.
I’m from NYC and I’m looking to move I was thinking of Houston or Austin even San Antonio are you still in Dallas ? I saw this video was 4 years ago I was hoping to take an updated opinion on the area . So you have ig?
Question man. Great video btw.. Chance I will be making a move in a few months. Late 20's guy here. Any areas you suggest I look to live ? I will be working downtown at the medical center. Also will be checking the area out this coming weekend, if you have any spots you suggest, as far as night life.
Wow! 34k views!!!! Thank you everyone for watching and I hope I helped most of you learn more about Dallas! Don’t forget to subscribe!
Maria Magdalena Gonzalez Nieves happy to have helped in your decision! Good luck to you! Thanks for watching!

Carlos Smith I'm in Fl as well in orlando and can't wait to get out of this fucking state...ugh...
do do it Carlos go to Houston. ..or some place else it's not for you . I thank God I'm out of that place every day...really I'm not just making a point. .if u go anyway in about six months remember u were warned
I did three years I would have said that in two weeks too
It's crazy bro..
No difference than living in Oklahoma
how cold is the winter?
#newsubbie

Thank you for posting this. We are looking for places to move to and New York and Dallas are on our list. I'm happy that I came across this.
Glad I could help in your decision making. Thank you for watching.
Thanks man... your video was really helpful.
I'm actually moving out to Dallas from LA
Not by choice... for work.
clglover77 it'll be worth the climate change because LA's housing prices are ridiculous.
1000% true! lol I’m from Brooklyn, NY moved to Dallas January, 2015. So far so good here specially if you like hassle free life then Dallas is better than NYC! 😊
Agreed!! Thanks for watching!

Super helpful video! Currently living out the country at the moment and looking to move back and Dallas was a big target of mine. Now it seems ideal.

Thank you so much! I will be relocating from Los Angeles to Dallas in the near future, so this was very helpful!
Love love love this video. Just gave me everything I needed for my move next week
Krys Heni happy to have helped! Thanks for watching!
I'm moving from Buffalo to Dallas on the 24rd. Thanks again.
Heyyyy...I'll be moving to Dallas in July. Any places you recommend to check out with an 11 yr old?
Im moving from baltimore. african american male. I hear dallas people are nice. Are the blacks cool lol? I'm from baltimore and they rude here
I am from NY. Will tell you that the black people here are different. Some are very nice and other not so friendly.
smi Lee 2011 had 65 consecutive days over 100 degrees.
Cedar Hills look dope! Thanks for the tip! Yeah when I find a real caribbean restaurant I'll let you know asap! lol!
There's one called Caribbean Cabana in the Farmers Market district in downtown Dallas. My friend is Haitian and he loved it
I was born and raise in D-Town and there two Jamaican restaurant in Dallas one in North Oak Cliff and the other is in South Dallas also there three Cuban restaurants in Dallas as well if you want Caribbean food
Never been to the one that was listed above me
This is a carribean restaurant in South Garland off 30 (Broadway exit). It is called Reggae Wings and Things.
I am really glad I saw this. I maybe moving there soon. I have lived in Texas before and just loved it. I really hope you are still enjoying Texas almost a year later.
Jenna Nilson I will disclose if I am when I do my year video! Lol! But between me and you. It’s 👍🏾. Thanks for watching!
Yup make sure to visit first and drive around. All the best! Thanks for watching!
Excellent video, I'm Brazilian and I'm currently living in Connecticut. But I'm thinking of moving to Texas. Your video was very enlightening, Thanks. 😃
Glad you enjoyed it. Texas is a nice place to be. Thanks for watching!
Good info! Thanks for watching!
I'm in Dallas TX bro 4 years strong moved from Louisiana you not lying about the weather I love it out here!!!
thanks for watching!
The job market has been hot the whole time I been in Dallas I can remember getting fired from one job and had another new job that night I have been employed sense I been here why I came have not been disappointed with that job market
datno hi I had a friend move here a month after me and found two jobs. It’s all about the hustle. The opportunities are there!
@@Built4Anything Im searching now for jobs in Dallas can you please give tips? I have my MBA and still have not found something
I know how you feel. I want out of New York. I'm thinking Atlanta. I work in Healthcare
I'm moving this summer and I'm nervous as heck
Take it one day at a time! You'll be fine.
Built4Anything thanks. I know I will be.

Lived in Illinois my whole life. Really thinking about moving to Dallas in the coming years. Thanks for the vid man
No problem! Thanks for watching!
Monica Morgendorffer Yes please help! :) What did you end up doing?
MemeAthroughZ We live on the border of North Dallas and Plano. Love it =)
Monica Morgendorffer That's awesome. I private messaged you on google+
I'm from Australia I would love to go Dallas Texas for a holiday keep up the great work with your RUclips videos
If your dallas, Texas, the whole world runs to you.
lol.
Lol yeah right bruh
Great vid brother...I'm thinking about moving to Dallas next year. Lived in Texas a long time ago but it was South Texas
Thank you for posting this video. I liked your honest opinions.

Im someone who loves cold weather, but Dallas broke me in and got me used to walking around in 100+ degree weather lol.
Rubbed Mashed Patatos on my Nippers lol! Thanks for watching!
C hantelle my experience in California people were aggressive and mean for the most part
thanks for the video! im from ct.ive recently went to plano and fell in love! it will be home in a couple months. the potential for growth and opportunities are far more than what is offered here!
Hi! I might move from CT to the Dallas area as well! I wanna know, how do you like it? Do you miss CT? And in terms of safety, how would you recommend it? And what is the safest neighborhood?
Hold up big folk gotta change the hat and throw a star on there
Thanks for this video. Im moving to Dallas in 2020 So This is informative. I checked out rad pad for apartments.
Thanks man I'm thinking of moving to Dallas from Louisiana.
I’m from NYC myself,Washington Heights to be exact. I just moved to L.A,2 1/2 months ago,but I would LOVE to visit Texas! My career gives me flexibility to work in any state & travel with my work,so this video was very helpful 👍🏾 thanks.

Bev Carr what do u do?

bout to drive down there for a couple days from wisconsin ! lett goooooo
Dallas is drowning in traffic and is too commercial/cooperate. Spring and Fall are the best times.
You were on point with everything, couldn't agree anymore with you.
Say no more. Dallas, see you next year.
Welcome! Thanks for watching!
Love message on hoodie. Thanks for video.
Bro. My favorite part was your last line. "No matter what life throws at you, you are built for anything!"
I'm really looking to move to Plano.
Ephraem Sudario thanks for watching! All the best to you and your family! Plano is a good area!
I like what you say about meeting people. We should all be open to meeting all kinds of people. You won't lose out, and you'll find we're basically the same.
I'm glad i came across this video. I'm from NY and am planning on moving to Dallas this Summer. I'm excited yet scared...lol. Thx for sharing!!!
Julissa Severino you'll love it! Just take it one day at a time! Good luck!
Julissa Severino that's the cool thing. There's something for everyone! I love it here so far!!!
Thanks for your update brother !! nice to know!
Lol! I feel you! Just make a plan and it will work out! Thanks for watching!
edge2991 I have to agree 💯 with you on that. NYC and NJ we're I'm from is like living in hell every day of your life, much success with your move bro.....
2018 late August/early September Dallas here i come!!!
Aslaam Mahdi welcome!
Thanks for the video! I've only visited the area once and had much the same reaction (especially on the traffic lol).
Tyler Burns thanks for watching!
Also Houston has a big problem with smash and grab atm robberies and "juggin"
skinny boy thanks for your insight! Very helpful! Thanks for watching!
good insight. although Dallas is not as affordable as it once was. when I married the second time, we bought a house and our payment for a 3 bedroom was $550 a month(granted, this was off overton road and Lancaster by the VA hospital.) and to your comment about the people, it seems that you have a lot of people from small Oklahoma, east Texas and west Texas towns, to whom Dallas is just like NYC or LA, and people from NYC and LA who view Dallas as a small Texas town. Another thing about Dallas is you cant always tell if you are in a dangerous area by the looks of it. For example the redbird area in west oak cliff is all nice brick homes, but a lot happens out there
That dallas heat is something. That summer heat will chase you out.
Yeah its no joke!! Im still here tho! Cool as a fan!
Thanks for sharing ! Very helpful
Btw if your wondering the park in the first clip is Klyde Warren Park
It's David very nice park!
Thanks boss, on my way out in March 2019 to check it out.
Nice! thanks for watching!!!
Agreed! Thanks for watching and commenting!
IF u have to deal with traffic move to L.A., diverse, creative, accepting and lots of open minded beautiful, hip, loving people; with great weather, all the time!
I love L.A!!!!
What I'm hearing that dallas has less traffic than Houston
Dallas is #1 been in North Texas for 7+years now & I love it
It's growing on me for sure!!!
dallas is known for having great jobs and the culture is great here i like living here.
Me and a buddy plan on moving to Dallas withen the next 5 months. Is it worth it? I'm from Mississippi.
So Dallas is next on my list please write me back
LaTonya Moore did u move yet?
I've lived here for 18 years lol, super well done video though. All your observations were spot on.
Aidan D thank you for watching!
Can't wait to get myself down there from central NY after college in less than a year.
Thank you for the input! May I ask did you move because of work or just wanted to relocate and try something new? Thanks
Nice informational video, very well done bro.
Thank you!!!
Ms Moni lol. First I’ve ever heard that. Thanks for watching
I'm from michigan and I have job offers for dallas and new york ! Im stuck because I have never visited dallas before. Your video was very helpful. How is the night life, networking, and any other leisure activities there?
I enjoyed that video thanks for sharing!
Glad you liked it!!
Super appreciate the vid, thank you
Thank you for watching!
you made goo points! Welcome to Dallas! i live there too
8:58 yes southern hospitality is huge here mane. Manners n respect is the way.
I’m thinking of relocating from Long Island to Dallas. Have you encountered in strange wild life or enormous bugs one might not see in NYC? When I lived in Virginia during my college days, I noticed, the bugs were on steroids. Just curious.
Thanks for this. I am considering moving to Dallas in a few years for a career.
Awesome video I'm from Australia I would love to go to Dallas for a holiday
Good info! What areas would you say are the best place to live? Im thinking about moving to Addison or Denton.. Im moving down there from Nebraska.. Where is the "bad" part of town?
Alright! Dallas in da house! Oak Cliff!
Dallas stand up!!! lol. Thanks for watching!
I'm not sure if you still monitor this channel, but are you still liking Dallas? I'm thinking about relocating at some point. Thanks!
E Clark i do. That might be my cue to upload a new video. Lol. Love Dallas.
@@Built4Anything lol..I agree. Please upload an update.
Loved this video. I want to move to Dallas. Everyone is telling me you need to save about $20k to relocate. How did you relocate?
the last sentence was the one i need, peace bro
I live in Southern Maryland and I hate the fact that everyone is trying to move to the DC area. The DMV (DC Maryland Virginia) is too small for everybody to be coming here, that’s why I wanna move to Texas. I don’t like the city life I like living in the Suburbs. Great video anyways dude thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Nice vid, very helpful 🙌🏽
I live in Dallas texas
I’m from NYC and I’m looking to move I was thinking of Houston or Austin even San Antonio are you still in Dallas ? I saw this video was 4 years ago I was hoping to take an updated opinion on the area . So you have ig?
Question man. Great video btw.. Chance I will be making a move in a few months. Late 20's guy here. Any areas you suggest I look to live ? I will be working downtown at the medical center. Also will be checking the area out this coming weekend, if you have any spots you suggest, as far as night life.
Jake Hopkinson there's North Dallas or Deep Ellum near medical district.
Thanks for all informations
