  • The time Mullah Nasruddin came to the Kasbah
This is one of the stories of Mullah Nasrudin, the itinerant Sufi and foolish wise man.
Foolish wisdom is a common folkloric motif in many cultures, and is often used as a teaching technique in many of the world’s esoteric traditions where the apparent foolishness of the wandering mystic reveals a deeper truth.
In this case, perhaps, that of humility and ‘no self’
Filmed at Ait Ben Haddao near Ouarzazate in Morocco.

I will add very strongly. That wood is for this fantastic story teller, The Story Crow . Those who seek and aren’t invited, will find themselves in some way slighted. The spirits always, at least in my experience, humility. When not shown they will cause mischief. Just a warning. Also it’s a big penalty is you get caught in a SSSI. Which I did on an incredible occasion. And he let me and my friend go.😮 And he wasn’t happy, yet he could see we lived the wood and didn’t leave a mess.

Well seems tech is against me so I will just have to tell you the place on lovely lovely YT.
So go from Ashburton onto the Moors, basically following the Dart. You will go over a beauty tiny bridge at a dog leg, on your left. Up the road and incline for a few minutes. You will pass an estate entrance on your right. This is the estate that owns the SSSI beautiful, the most beautiful woodland.
You drop down the hill and there was a National Trust car park at the bottom on the left. Basically the woodland is on the right of the steep side of the Dart river running away from the CP. on the OS map for that area there used to indicated “fort” in this SSSI woodland. This was back 2012 so not sure if there’s been changes.
Well that was a fantastic video, thank yee❤
Couldn’t be more sinchronistic/sympathetic. Amazing really. I don’t get notifications know so please don’t think me rude if I forget to return to the comments to check.
Have a lovely day to all ❤

Well, this is a nice treasure map. Heading down that way in April in the bus - on the off chance you read this, keep an eye out for a big green Mercedes and hopefully we won’t get stuck on one of the narrow Devon bridges 😄🙏

I remember a Nasruddin the Hashishin story from the old Oriental Studies department when I was working on an advanced degree:
''Nasr Ud din,'' said the Nightwatch guard, ''What are you doing out in the street at this time of night?''
Nasr-: ''I am looking for my lost door key, Effendi.-
Guard: '' Did you hear where you dropped it?''
Nasr-: 'Oh, I dropped the key in front of my house,... It's down the block. But the light is so much brighter here, under the streetlight.''

Ha Ha Ha...We, Turks, believe he once lived in today's Aksehir, Konya in Turkiye, Kirsehir, Eskisehir and passed away in Kayseri, Turkiye. Some historians claim he was Ahi Evran, a heterodox sufi, poet, the founder and head of trade professionals about 800 years ago. You may see his sculptures some with his donkey mounting reverse in multiple location that believed once lived there including Sivrihisar, Eskisehir. Cheers!

Ahh the reverse donkey 🫏 😂
I love that. So many interpretations. Thanks my friend. Hope you don’t mind that I borrowed your Turkish holy fool and plonked him in Morocco temporarily. He’s a wanderer after all and there’s a big Sufi tradition here
      Salam and cheers mate 🙏 🇹🇷 🇲🇦 🇬🇧 🙏
