Hello there, thanks very much for the video, it helps me so much with the game map development, i wanted to ask what if i have several materials, more than 2, and i what to do the transitions between more than 2 materials, i mean, like sand-mud, mud-asphalt, asphalt-sand, is that possible? Thanks again.
@@TankThomusW Looks like you just have to do the same thing for every material and if you have more of them, use different colours, but i didnt try yet
@@TankThomusW So, i figure out in this way: You must repeat this feature on everymaterial and you have to create a different material for every place where two material touch each other, also i tried to use R G B and it's fine. The main problem is that you have to repeat the process if you want a detailed map, i used 6 different textures and for now it seems fine
Tutorial is great, was wondering if it could be applied to transition from an opaque material to a transparent one. Been trying to apply the same approach of your guide for that purpose but the transition is there, but ttheres no transparency.
Hello i want to ask a question, i have a mesh has more then 10 material slots and already has materials on it with sharp edges. Is there any method to remove sharp edges w/o doing vertex painting.
If we place a cube(any mesh object) on a another cube(any mesh object ) we can see the sharp edge between them ,my question is how to overcome the sharp edge to smooth transition
This deserves more view. Thanks for making this very helpful video!
no it doesnt, his accent makes it very hard to understand what he says, a lot of absolutely useless words . This video could've fit in 1 minute .

Very good question. Did you end up figuring it out?
@@TankThomusW nope, gonna figure it out omw

Thank you very much, you just ended my suffering.
Is there option to add some kind of texture as transition? Like voronoi etc, so it'd modify edges
Nice tutorial left a sub on your channel
Oh my god thank you

How do you move the the second texture position after this ? Cool tutorial btw.
wow, thats fricking smart :D
how do i export it into unity without the texture showing with the vertex colours?
Bake texture?
U need to bake them into a single texture
does this work with blending normal maps and a texture?
how to bake 2 texture ground with a mix shader (for goog ground), mixing again with your path shader ? haha
Thx mate ❤
Is there a way to export the texture?
is there anyway to blur image texture plane edges each combined with two plane
Hey man, I'm using this toturial for a school project and I was wondering, does this stay when I upload it to sketchfab?
What should I do if both of my textures have displacement? I'm using experimental with subdivision for my plane.
maybe try using the same technic but instead of the color images you use the displacement images
Mega 🥰

unfortunately not that i know of
Just paint a black and white path and feet that into the factor of a mix node?!
how to do with 3 materials???
If we place a cube(any mesh object) on a another cube(any mesh object ) we can see the sharp edge between them ,my question is how to overcome the sharp edge to smooth transition
Maybe join the two objects together and then try the vertex paint method i showed in the video? does that work?
🍿
I´ll save this video for the rest of my life haha
