    In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through "The Best" go - to low impact standing cardio routine perfect for an intermediate challenge. This is part of our "BEST" series which we believe incorporates some of the most effective movements for this activity level.
    This is an all standing cardio routine that is designed to exercise your complete body including upper, lower and core muscles. These low impact movements will also get your heart rate up to healthy levels and leave you feeling accomplished and refreshed!
    Be sure you have enough space around you when beginning this routine and clear your area of any fall of trip hazards. Keep your water close by and take breaks when you need to.

    I have been doing your low impact cardio for over a year. Got away from it when my daughter passed away unexpectedly Dec. 17/23 from a heart attack at 57. I was devastated with the loss. It has been more than a month now. I thought why not get back to my senior fitness with Meredith and so glad I did. You have helped me in so many way to try to stay healthy for my family and also to help my mind. Thank you so much for caring bout seniors who need this.

    Sometimes I want to do a little workout but my body has been fatigued and my brain is too, everything feels overwhelming, so, I discovered that rather than trying one I haven't done before I take some of the anxiety away by choosing a low impact cardio I have done before. I feel the benefit from doing this today. In fact just having Meredith talking through this again whilst I write is calming... I highly recommend trying a selection of the workouts because not all will suit everyone. But I bet there is something for everyone regardless of age and ability.

    I am 73 yrs old and do stretches almost daily however I felt the need to add cardio to my routine in between. Your workouts are perfect for me! Thank you very much !!!

    Thank you for this wonderful video! I am doing my undergraduate and am involved with a school program where university students provide free exercise programs to the San Fernando Valley community in California. Some of our participants deal with certain physical limitations, such as knee or back problems, but this video gave me some great ideas for low impact cardio exercises. Thank you!

    A great start to my day. I like the 20 minute ones before I get out to work in the garden, bike, hike, or whatever else is going on. Great instruction on body and breathing form.

    Breathing reminder is very helpful, tend to forget to breathe through the exercises. This is the right speed for me, I am 60, in doing the exercises, sometimes it is too fast, and I have to slow down myself.

    First workout I have done in a long while. Had COVID a few months back and it's taken me an age to get to a point where I could even think about a workout. Quite shocked at the extra fatigue on top of my normal levels of fatigue. Hadn't realised how much it had still been affecting my day to day life.
    As always I was able to look and find a workout that was challenging enough without it being too strenuous. It got my heart rate up, I enjoyed it... Perfect way to start my Sunday!.. thank you for the choice you have x

    I really enjoyed this workout. I am recovering from knee replacement surgery, and it is getting too hot and humid outside to walk, so this workout is perfect for me! We’ll be in the upper 80’s and 90’s for the next four months, so I will be doing more workouts like this one. 😊 By the way, my cat is my “fall or trip hazard”! He wants to be right next to me when I am exercising! 🥴

      @@SeniorFitnessWithMeredith I live in south Alabama, about 90 miles north of Panama City Beach, FL. Hot and humid! 🥴 I have been doing some of your other videos, some with weights and some just cardio, but I really got into this one for the variety of steps and added upper body. I like that you show us how to modify if we are not comfortable with a move. And you encourage us to keep trying!

      So glad you added this option, Meredith. I'd just been thinking that there should be some way to compensate you. I use the workouts regularly because I'm 67 and the speed of your movements is exactly right so that I can maintain balance, check my core, and check which muscle is working!

    Dear Meredith, you mention parts of the body that are being acted upon as we exercise them. Can you give a short vocabulary of the most important ones...the name and where they are on the body.. for example something like hamstring. Thank you... when you have time, ha ! : )

    I'm not a senior but i really need to lose weight and i had a problem with my one shoulder so i can't doany moves because my shoulder is not working so I'm thinkinf about trying this

    I like your exercises but NEED music to motivate. I hear a little something sometimes but , not good at all.

      Thank you for that. I too agree that music makes a big difference and helps motivate me. The music levels are difficult to get right all the time, so I apologize in this workout it was not very loud.
