Everyone is talking about the 'vibe', 'boring shit', is the only vibe im getting I'm afraid. Don't mean to be a 'hater', they're all musically more proficient than I! Just nothing there of note for mine, as someone else commented, 'generic'. Distillers vibe, ya joking right? What, because its a female fronted band? Go listen to something like 'Mother Theresa'- Dead Sara if you want a Brody Dalle rasp. How about signing someone like Liquid Mike, Ways Away or even forcing Kody Templetons 27th other band, The Hybrids, to bang out another banging album like 'when its over'.
"Don't mean to be a hater but [talks shit for 3 paragraphs]" Cool story bro. If you really don't want to be a hater, you know you can just not say anything and go listen to music you like better, right?
Unfortunately, you're on the money when discussing recent times. I could understand if you imply since 'forever' but as someone who's consumed untold hours of 'fat' product over 30 years, I can assure you, whilst certainly similar sounding, the OG signings, a lot of the Honest Don's bands and later artists signed through to the early mid 00's usually posessed a distinct point of difference in sound and style but often also something uniquely special and superior. It's been hit and miss since though. Flatliners, D2me, name escapes me but the lads from dear landlord, teen bottle, mean jeans and I'm sure I've forgot a couple are all on the higher end of the tiers. From the OG's, take lagwagon for example, each member is 'elite' instrument proficiency wise and Randall is such a gifted song writer. Blaze, Resolve and My Brother was imo a bit of a lull period after 4 top tier releases but they returned in '14 with arguably their magnum opus only to follow it up with the similar brilliance of Railer. The band Limp wrote near pop punk perfection that largely went unnoticed. Strung Out with Jim Cherry was A-grade. Jim's debut release with the band zerodown was phenomenal, what was to follow could have been anything, unfortunately his untimely passing put an end to that, rip Jim. Bracket were unique. Dead To Me, fantastic. Banner Pilot, great. Bad Astronaut, Frenzal, Chix, none more black, against me!,, who can forget the first two rise against releases...the list is long! But you're absolutely right. This is generic, dull, boring and imo the complete antithesis of what would make up a fat signing and release. Can't say I or 'we' as the collective haven't been spoiled over the years though. My one other complaint is that no one ever responded to my offer of over $5k in bitcoin to buy the fat Mike puppet, from the DVD when it was on offer in '16 or so. I wanted that puppet dammit.
I don’t mean to sound like a shithead, but it’s all a collector’s game now. I’m as much a Pop Punk Casualty as the next guy but at some point you gotta say enough is enough. Im at a point I only buy what I call “island” albums - every track is good and you can listen to the album over and over. I’m not buying anymore filler just to have a big collection. With that said, Mean Jeans may just be the best thing to ever happen to Fat.
@@LyndonTCorbett sorry mate but I'm a bit confused with your reply, maybe it was meant to be posted elsewhere? My reply was just in agreement with your original comment, albeit a long winded one! In regards to purchasing records though, once again I agree. I won't buy a record just because a certain label has released it, I've gotta enjoy the product for that to happen. The 25 year anniversary represses are what makes up the bulk from fat lately which for the most part is of little interest to me. Have grabbed a couple of the us store and euro store editions of albums I love, cause music you love reaLly does come criminally cheap, but I already have all the original pressings in near new condition along with the corresponding og colour release press they did like more betterness blue marble, dark blue blaze yada yada....truth be told, ive got a bit of a wet dream collection here....things like the hoss screen print, hell I still even have a factory sealed 'with a lifetime to pay' copy here! I'm looking forward to fats second wind though with a late resurgence of quality signings to get excited about. It's just there's so much quality out there at the moment though, I'm kinda surprised at their recent releases. Maybe it's a case of 'its not them, it's me' though 🤷 Mate, i recommend you check out the band Liquid Mike. It might be a miss hit but I feel you might like them.
Once I saw this, I got so excited. I LOVE the Last Gang. I love Brenna Red’s voice.
Such a killer tune 🤘🏼
Distillers vibes . I like it
Jajjajajj
Agreed! Deeper vibes cut would be the Muffs, predating the Distillers.
@@HaisteComputerRepair oh hell yes ..
Distillers and Nirvana too!
I'm hearing a lot of HOLE
2:35 🤘Very nice fill!
Yess!!!! Love you guys. 🔥
Enfin un peu de fraicheur à l'ancienne! Venez en France please🔥🔥🔥
Love the Bad Religion writing lyrics on the wall! Respect for the elders
Hell yeah 🤘! New TLG? LFG!
it's nice to hear you again
This is sick! If Detroit Cobras did a punk album with a hint of Distillers.
Love it!
What a banger!
Yes please 😎🥳
Good sh!t guys. I remember seeing them in a small bar in Santa Maria CA

New Last Gang!!!!!!

Suggs and the gang are looking well - the last gang is a great song name.
I love this more than words can convey. Brenna is a damn goddess.
pretty dope! I dig the sound
Do Not Buy "artwork" from punk rockers! From a certain Museum
Already. Yes
They're hit or miss for me, hoping this is a push in the right direction on the third album
Absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love it! Let’s do some gigs together!
It's giving Hole and Distiller vibes.
Grunge vibes
Je kiff trop
It's like a song for Daria - The Movie
I had this done to me. True fact.
I can't stop listening to this ducking song. It's invaded and ruined my life. I'm addicted
👍
Love the actual tune but cant help feeling the video is just a heavily sanitised "Double Arrows Down" by Bombpops
Is that Jim Gaffigan in there ?

90 percent of the bands on Fat are so generic.
