  • When he was 24, Jackson Blackburn was looking for a job that would let him follow his passion for traveling and snowboarding. He found that with a cleaning business start-up, Mt. Baker Window Cleaning Company. Five years later, it’s bringing in 6-figure monthly revenue and has a fantastic company culture that keeps his cleaning team on-board for the long-term.

Most impressively, Jackson didn’t have a ton of money or experience as an entrepreneur. He started his cleaning service business with less than $1,000 and learned how to run it as he grew. In this interview, he’ll share what he’s learned in the process of starting a cleaning business from scratch, including the mistakes he’s made along the way and the lessons he learned from them.
Mt. Baker’s growth really took off when Jackson stepped back from the day-to-day cleaning business and embraced his role as the CEO. He’ll talk about how he made that shift, where he finds high-quality team members, and how developed the training and other systems that set his employees and the business up for success. Along with this, he’ll talk about the advertising strategies he uses to keep his customer base growing, the role that coaching has played in his growth, and how he keeps himself pushing forward when things get tough.
If you want to know how to start a cleaning business step by step, Jackson is a great knowledge resource for you to take advantage of! Don’t forget to watch these other interviews with cleaning business owners before you go:

Ive worked in bike shops forever and we all just wanna shred after work... Good job my dude!

It your business is truly lucrative and you show and prove that you work hard, then eventually you will be a homeowner like me and not a renter. Equity put in homeownership is equally as important as Equity put in your business. I do and have worked honestly and very hard and I am very trustworthy, loving, caring, and honest and respectful. I don’t lie and hate all liars and actual criminal people, especially those who steal what they are undeserving of and don’t understand anything good and real. With their ignorance and actual criminal fraud behavior they never build anything real and good especially with children. I, like you, am very hardworking loving and honest and trustworthy. I have raised other peoples real children and I am ready to take my own children back and teach them rightfully.

    • @LandscapeMaster33

@@Bigmike55626 if you do the quick math. I don’t think he’s even doing 20%. He’s got 5 newer trucks, specialized equipment on the trucks, a shop that he more then likely leases, 10 employees on payroll, tools. You can imagine what the monthly expense is on that alone. A 1M business annually to be profitable is two trucks, eq, 3 employees max. To his size of overhead that really should be 5M annual gross. It’s relative to most businesses unless you’re a law firm or some online big money making guru.
