love this pattern !!! i’ve been wanting to make a houndstooth hat but thought it was hard. it is so easy. thank you ! i chose to use a HDC band it doesn’t curl at all
I just watched your video on the scarf to match this and now I can have a hat to go with the scarf Thanks again, and love your video's you make it easy to learn and make :)
@@SaraSach I checked the link and looked at the notes before I even asked this question because I didn't see any information so now I just went back and re-read the pattern twice and I still don't see the information
@@SaraSach Thanks so much but I actually figured it out. However, after making the scarf i thought it would be the same stitch but it's a little different. The scarf pattern you're turning your work so it's easy to see the single and double crochet and crochet right into them but the hat pattern is a little different. Am i correct that you're working next to the stitches instead of inside the stitches like the scarf pattern?
The Stitches are exactly the same. Dc in the sc, sc in the dc. (alternating) The only difference is the scarf is stitched in rows, and the hat is stitched in Rounds.
You make this houndstooth pattern look so simple for a beginner crocheter to tackle, thank you,for your continued support in this craft.
Thanks so much 😊
I love houndstooth
Very cute Sara. I’m going to watch the scarf video next! Thanks for sharing.
I am so happy you did a hat to match the scarf. I will definitely have to give both a try!

I love this hat and scarf. I'm going to make them for my granddaughter. Do you have a mitten pattern with this stitch.
No I do not.
Nice pattern I've made two ... how about for 4 yr old how many chains to start ?
The information On adjusting the pattern is on the link provided in the notes under the video.

It’s in the size area. You need to measure the head and adjust. 3Sts = 1 inch, 2 Rows = 1 inch
@@SaraSach ohhh yes ok thank you
i'm having so much trouble with making the fsc stitch. can I just chain 60 and put single crochet in each chain?
Yes, you can

I've started it, taken it apart, start it, take it apart. It's just not looking neat like yours!!

Sara can you do a double pompom on this hat? I have someone wanting this pattern but they want a double pompom
Do you mean have 2 pompoms instead of one? I supposed you could.
@@SaraSach yes on each side. I am making the scarf now love it
Please let me know if I can make this beanie from top to bottom
Not With This pattern, but you can search youtube to see if there is other patterns.
@@SaraSach thank you so much I will figure it out
How I wish I could crochet again I lost the use of my right arm I can't crochet and I want to crochet so bad
I am so sorry. Hope you feel better.
@@SaraSach thank you so very much
60 chains makes the hat about 2" too big.
If the Hat is coming out too big, than go down a hook size or 2.
Ok. I figured out what I did wrong😊
