- In today's tutorial I will show you how to knit this beautiful and super easy knit hat for bay boys and girls in the round. Its for babies between 3-6M but you can easily make it smaller or bigger by simply changing your needle size and making it exactly like this hat with same stitch count and rows. See below. MORE SIZES:
NB use 3mm circular knitting needles with Aran, #4 or 10ply Yarn
1-3M use 3.5mm circular knitting needles with Aran, #4 or 10ply Yarn
3-6M I used 4mm circular knitting needles with #4 yarn
6-12M use 4.5mm circular knitting needles with Aran, #4 or 10ply Yarn

Needles Size:
4mm/15in long for 3-6M size (You can use double pointed needles or longer needles and use the magic look technique to knit the hat in the round).
Gauge:
2in =13 rows/9.5 stitches with 4mm needles
Yarn used:
Loops & Thread Impeccable #4 yarn in the colors,
Fire Red, Aran, and Petunia (42g total with pompom)

Thank you so much for sharing this lovely design. My grandson who is almost 5 years old, has asked me to knit him a hat. I've knitted several turbans and decorated them with lovely crocheted flowers for his little sister, so obviously, he wants a hat too. Your pattern is just right for him. However, I don't like altering the size with needle-size... I've done it a couple of times and it affected the tension. If I were to add more stitches, how would I calculate the decrease rows etc.? Thanks again❤

What’s shortest or longest can go without magic loop I’m in Uk can’t find length your using anywhere ? Nearest I can get is 40 but this is tip to tip are you measuring tip to tip or just cable ?
