It's sad that you can accidentally skip the broom closet ending, they should make that it resets everytime unless you reach a specific line. It also common to miss the boxes delivery at the beginning if something happens.

They were so close to saving their jumps. But alas, they did not, we must hope they savoured those jumps best they could, or will they relish in despair from lack of continuation when discovering their jumping could’ve been used at a later time? Or maybe, if saving their jumps a second time, they would inevitably become disappointed that this time there were no way to complete what was begun, the way it works not many will have the privilege of consuming their jumps spread out. Regardless, we would all ultimately come to fall and never get back up, once the counter hits 0 there is non redo, those jumps were jumped, and we have to learn to move on, it may be hard but such is the way of life.
I mean idk if they patched it yet but if they restarted and got their jumps back and reset the story while in the jump circle, they could jump all they want wherever they want with reckless abandon
Hint: when going down in the elevator to the hallway where you chose between escape and mind control facility, there was only one button in the elevator in the first game.

This feels like the opposite of the meta commentary. I really hope Mat clicks "yes" on the out of the window ending this time around. That was my favorite ending in the original (besides the broom closet ending ofc) and I was sad when mat and steph didn't do it in their original playthrough
I like how he clicked no again.
Rip
Agreed
this is terribly late but in case anyone cares, they did do the "yes" ending. you must've only ever watched the edited-down version and it must've not been included in it or something. for anyone still curious, the original livestreams are still available, just unlisted. for them reacting to the yes ending (although a smidge half-heartedly after the singing stops as they were in the middle of bickering prior to it lol), it's at around 36:36 from the link /watch?v=FJfJEdNl5yQ (paste it just like this *after* the words that appear in the url when you enter this website [ that i cannot mention without getting the comment removed ], hopefully "linking" it like this doesn't get this comment deleted again, trying for the fourth time now)
It's sad that you can accidentally skip the broom closet ending, they should make that it resets everytime unless you reach a specific line.
It also common to miss the boxes delivery at the beginning if something happens.
I actually got the box delivery today. Didn't remember it from watching the original. I was really happy to see that (Spoilers for those unaware)
They actually delivered the boxes. I laughed for a good couple minutes seeing just how many there were. Without a doubt, good easter egg.
Agreed
@@WhirlyBeepBoops It's part of the few events that happens in the starting office (there's a video on RUclips by a channel with a long name that shows all starting office secrets of the 2013 version).
I believe the idea is to give the game different beginnings other than different endings, as it said at the ending of the original demo game.
I've never gotten the boxes delivery thing, but I know that the broom closet ending resets when you close the game (like, close the entire window). I assume it's the same thing with the boxes. I think the variations happen when you do several playthroughs in one sitting.
@@no.one.a113 Really? Even if you don't get the last part (door blocked with planks)? I never knew that. I don't remember it in the original.
Who else died when he almost left without spending all the jumps, but went back anyways?
Oh noooo now he can’t use the jump glitch!
That'll come back to haunt him.
gotta love how the stanley parable reassurance bucket and the aperture science weighted companion cube are the most wholesome characters in both series'.
The bucket is absolutely the opposite of wholesome 😂
@@BuckerydogSchmuckeryDog the companion cube goes stabby in the dark
MatPat swearing is like finding a shiny Pokémon. In the games where the method of finding them wasn't given to you when you beat the game, but you simply have to go looking.
I've watched that part over and over. It's therapeutic.
"No way Stanley Parable wasn't THAT long ago on GTLive..."

"HOLY SHI-"
IKR! I was like "oh yeah i was there live a few years agOMG HOW LONG?!"
@@OzzieStorm I was literally still in middle school now I'm 1 year graduated from high school that's how long ago it was lol
(Bill Cipher voice) Reality is an illusion, time is irrelevant, buy gold, buyyyyy-!
I was fricking 8 when this game came out and now I am close to being done in highschool this game is something else. I don’t care what anyone else says the adventure line is by far the best ending in the original game and no one can say otherwise
@@Starlighty16 I was 11 when it came out, that's incredibly bizarre to think about..I'm done with high school
Matt had said that it was nice that there was no death or destruction immediately before leaping off of a platform, killing himself.
I'm willing to bet that the Zoo easter egg from Accounting+ is hidden somewhere within this game, that'd be so funny!
To do the "esc I spacebar M J" thing, you could always set up a macro with exact ms timing to do it for you
you meant Esc I spacebar M 3? if you look at the screen it's not J!
27:35
@@laharlkent A 3 is visible on the screen already and obviously looks like a 3. The press is a J with the line over the top of it. There is no 3rd line in the character to even offer the resemblance to a 3.
I'm pretty sure it just doesn't do anything. It didn't in the first game; I'm sure someone would've found that by now.
@@firedale2002 I was saying after M they need to press 3 key but mirror matt is telling MP to press J
@@laharlkent Yeah its not 3 its J. That is what they are saying.
I love that he actually guessed that the new achievement is 10 years instead of 5
This is the first game in a while that I think Mat was genuinely excited about a game. No Banter just nostalgia
Skip A: 30 minutes have passed
Skip B: 12 hours have passed
From this we can assume that each skip is multiplied by 24
Assuming I've done the math correctly and that the rate of increase in time that is skipped per button press is consistent, that means that by the last skip (14 skips after Skip B)
Approximately: 900 Quadrillion years have passed since the first skip.
I'm probably wrong but you get the idea.
Did you consider the other data?
Heard mention of this in a previous episode, SO excited to see more of this game from the gt live crew
Your message is older than the video
@@cloverfield2005 Yes, that's how commenting before the video is premiered works. Notice how the comment is about how excited they are for the video and not about the video itself.
The way the narrator addressed "Cookie9" as a real name😂 I laughed way too hard
Aww, I'm sad we don't get to experience this with Stephanie like we did the first time we watched y'all.
Yea that would be so much fun
I’m gonna level with you the nuke ending was the closest to an actual fight between them I can recall seeing on screen.
I miss steph
I'm glad we don't haha

The Narrator/ Stanley chemistry is even more palpable than it used to be
I feel like this game has perfect synergy with MattPatt

This seems like something the narrator would say XD
I mean idk if they patched it yet but if they restarted and got their jumps back and reset the story while in the jump circle, they could jump all they want wherever they want with reckless abandon
@@wiiink considering there’s an easter egg you can only get to with jumping that directly acknowledges it, i doubt they would patch it out
Hi
"We're gonna do broomcloset."
The hype is real!
I love to think that Stanly Parable shares the same universe with Portal games. It just feels right.
I can't believe Matt said he hates the narrator! I love this dude, and I feel strangely sad whenever he's upset in this game lol
Hint: when going down in the elevator to the hallway where you chose between escape and mind control facility, there was only one button in the elevator in the first game.
I would like to say: the original Stanley Parable streams were not properly archived so not all endings are on the channel, so it would be great if you played all the original endings too!
"Let me listen to him, or you can play the f*cking game". A moment that just got recommended to me after watching this. Haven't seen it since I initially watched it at release
for me it was the opposite i got that then this
I only realized this when playing ultra deluxe, but Stanley is also freed from your control when he leaves the facility.
Opinion: The Narrator is a metaphor for subversion, inserting a new system to root out another one, one with the same ruleset but different faces.
Replaying old games with mirror matt is so much fun, even if its all old stuff. Id love to see his reaction to something such as Fran Bow (just dont read everything)
I love that the base "follow all the rules" narrative is still subversive. Stanley gains freedom from you giving up all of your control.
And, you can’t control him in that ending, he’s controlling himself and he’s free of you!
I was waiting for this!! Saw some other people playing this but wanted to wait for you because I know how much you guys love this game
33:33 This is a random event that can sometimes happen upon a restart, but what is supposed to happen here after confirming the shipment is that all those boxes will spawn all over the normal office upon the next restart. Unfortunately because you got the blue office (also a random event) on your next restart that cancelled the Future Happiness Foundation event out.
It’s also a commentary on “breaking out of a mind control center” while doing as the narrator tells you
no wayyy
"Stan Lee pear a bowl". Mirror Matt never ceases to amaze. This is the stuff I come for. Absolutely legendary.
I'm a bit disappointted there's no Lily's Well ending but super happy that Matt is playing this game, talk about complicating feelings
Same. At this point if they finish lily's well I dont think it will be for a while. At least it is still on the desktop
What’s Lily’s Well ending? Can you explain? :o
@@lightningflame2082 do you mean what is the ending to the game lily's well? If so then SPOILERS: she is a clone made by alchemy.
First we had 8-BitGaming with Ryan and Ryan, now we have GTlive with Mat and Matt
I *need* a quiet commentary on what is going on in Mirror Matt’s mind while they’re watching this!!
Ooo this is so fun!!!
I need him to come back to this and do the rest, I NEED to see his reaction to the hole. It literally killed my sides and split my stomach open with laughter
A few secret endings for next stream
Ride the lift all the way over to the end. There you'll enter a room with a phone. Instead of answering it, unplug it
Walk through the boss's office and then back out again before the doors close, then go back to the beginning
Walk onto the desk in the Mind Control Facility and fall off the edge
That's all for now. I'll try to reply with a few more if I can think of any
Those first 2 aren't new to this version, and MatPat I think did the first one in the original.
MatPat did the first 2 in his original play through. Not the third though.
That is so awesome 😍😍😍😎😎😎
53:00 "Have you heard of Among us, Stanley?"
I love this all the memories and good times of old gt live. Like when mat and Stephanie we’re freaking out in the blow up ending where the narrator says it’s pointless 👌😂
I think it's super clever that 'freedom' ending (turn off mind control) not only happens when you 1) Obey the Narrator ALWAYS and 2) Ends with ONLY in-game moment when you LOSE control of the character (you see 1st person but it's cut-scene line moment) and 3) Ends with same words 'And stanley was happy' that at the start implied that he was being mind controlled... fucking so many levels of 'wrong' in one moment
Narrator: No longer would anyone tell him where to go, what to do or how to feel.
Also Narrator: Stanley steped through the open door - and stanley was happy.
58:46 *it's not just a picture of portal*
Portal was in the Stanley Parable 2013 it was part of one of the endings just like Minecraft.
59:48 you didn't get this reference either I think.
1:16:30 it is interesting to hear those creepy sounds with the knowledge of what the world looks like later on. It leaves me speculating what was happening outside during the darker days in the skip room...
The narrator just turned into “the scarred and depressed wife” so quick in the middle of the video
"The broom ending is the best" ah yes, the good ol days
I'm very happy to see him playing one of my favorite games ever, but I think Mat turned down the game volume which is mildly infuriating because it's harder to hear the narrator on my phone
"it is incredibly meta"
flashbacks to chris calling out how meta it was and getting ridiculed
1:09:10 this was the best commentary during the skip button sequence though ;( yes I did sit through all of his monologues and yes it was worth it
Clap and a half for you.
👏🙌
The Portal and Minecraft pictures are from the original game where you enter the Blue door constantly and it finally gets frustrated with your decisions so it lets you play Portal and Minecraft for a little.
This channel's OG Stanley Parable let's play is one of my absolute favorite things to go back and rewatch, I love it. So I'm super glad you guys did this as well, now that I'm finally playing it myself, I'm here to check it out!
Stanley in almost every ending: haha ignore the narrator
Stanley in that one “new content” part: Narrator, I feel you man…
The fact that I ate a WHOLE PIZZA by myself while watching this at eleven at night, is kind of depressing--yet, impressive.
I don’t think the Narrator has as much power as he pretends to. I think that he is as trapped in here as we are. There is so much hidden lore in this game. 432, What *is* the Narrator? Is Stanley even human? So much to look into. I would love a Stanley parable theory video
Just started watching, excited for the 3 hrs of hole content
**Edit**: Did not get to 3 hours of hole this time. Look forward to the next video when we get to see it
Hopefully
On the off chance that anyone will see this- there's this fantastic game called Title Pending with a similar vibe to the Stanley Parable and I highly recommend playing it.
I saw it
Cool as this is, I’m really hoping the next episode of Lily’s Well is coming out soon.
Me too, it’s such a good game and I hope they play more of it
Me too! I’m so interested in lilys well
This feels like the opposite of the meta commentary. I feel that most meta is "this is fiction so there are no consequences" while the skip button makes it feel like 'the characters in game have there own life in a way we don't comprehend, so what we do causes harm to this character, as it would a real person."
i am begging matpat to do multiple episodes covering absolutley everything that the update has to offer, i need to see his reaction
The last ending struck a very specific nerve in me and i am absolutely terrified of it lmao. Wonderful game.
I miss Steph but I get that she had to step away. I hope she watches this.
Same. I don't watch as much. I miss her humor and wit! I always hope she'll do the occasional guest appearance. I definitely understand needing to step away, and I respect that. But I keep hoping anyway lol.
Wait why does she need to step away?
@NotDudeGuy They did a goodbye stream a year ago. From what I gather it was to both free up time for her to do more behind the scenes work for the channels as well as for her to spend some time with family and loved ones. She has a toddler and that takes priority because he is dependent on them. But mostly she felt it was time for a change since she had been doing it for 5 years at that point.
My brain read that as steph away. I need to go to sleep.
54:42 Thanos Singing: “Half the universe had to die so I could have these plaaaants.”
You should do the normal endings with a certain bucket you come across, you get a lot of new dialogue and new stuff happens
58:45 theres a picture of the first level of portal there because there was an ending, that you did that test, and "played" minecraft aswell, it is one of my favourite endings
Davey Wreden and crow crow crows did an amazing job. been following them since they started development.
