and I believe that's the main intent of salvation, God revealing that where we are is not consistent with who we are and therefore through Christ there's a redirection to navigate to who we truly are in Christ-our Destination.
Your partner is partially a reflection of who you are. People are obviously different but there are certain characteristics that you have that your partner should have like morals and values, goals, drive, work ethic. Also you can play a role in some of the decisions your partner makes hence they would then be a reflection of you. So they are a reflection in that sense. However, they are not a reflection of you in terms of their behaviour. If my man acts a damn fool in public that says a lot about him and not about their partner. But one can also just argue that everyone is responsible for their behaviour and what they do overall reflects on who they are.

This is beautiful. Serve your partner as if you are serving God. Even when you are out there remember you are representing God by being faithful to your partner (in the absentia).
