I think in the African society, staying is a sign of strength. So many women, especially those over 50 grew up in a society where leaving was a non starter so that fear of "what will people say" binds them even if they know they deserve better. Some choose to stay for the sake of their kids, mostly in cases where they believe that in their absence their kids will not be privy to benefits, especially financial from the partner. So yeah, it's tricky but yeah. I guess one needs to know the reasons behind to understand the "strength" part of it because for the 80s kids and above it's not so easy to tolerate such behavior, maybe because we know better and also find ourselves in a better socio-economic status. It's a whole topic. Would be interesting to hear the views of others.
@@LM-he7eb Fortunately, the narrative has started to change and people's choices to leave have become somewhat acceptable. The conversation around mental health has contributed greatly to this, I believe.
Here's something amazing about your installments and such topics: They're very very educational. I'm a varsity student but I learn so much from you guys. And I like how natural and unforced it is because we can tell every time that some of these topics also build your relationship. How you guys have different opinions about stuff but how you manage to find common ground. This is really amazing. Thank you so much!
Love you guys you always give us interesting conversations. I wish Mrs Makhs would consider giving us her skin routine one day. The way she looks so gorgeous 😍 💗.
I personally think we glorify "leaving" as strength more, especially in this day and age simply bcos society made it look like if you leave you're a failure. I have personal experience on leaving and my own family and people I thought have my best interest at heart bullying and insulting me ngoba "umendo undohlulile". I do admire the strength of the people who stay though, especially having an idea of what it feels like not being happy but choosing to not quit and rather stay for whatever reasons🤷♀️
I love how you guys can put each other on a spot with your conversations and yet have the conversation without arguing. You guys have done a lot of work to get to this stage and i hope it does not end on camera but consciously and definitely keep working top keep getting better. I love you guys a bunch
I totally understand Lerato's point, and I agree totally, its the judgement and what the society has decided for us, so for whatever reason, whether you decide to stay or leave as long as it's what you want and you're doing it for you and not bcos it's expected by society as a "norm" , it's high time that we stop judging and celebrate people for doing "them"
Ask me ,am in that situation right now.Married for almost 14 years ,I thought he cheats am out. Easy said than done guys ,I did everything to push him out n he refused. He begged the whole year, the begging was most annoying to me because it made me look bad n unforgiving wife .God started visiting me n He showed me I needed to forgive him .Guys almost two years ,the pain is still there .God has been helping. Guys marriage is a serious Covenant, only death can set one free. Its hard
Loved what Lerato said that it’s easy to say you’ll do something until you’re faced with the situation. Life will indeed humble you. Thank you for this installment.❤❤
I love the last question. I left a 4 years relationship because I was mistreated by my ex boyfriend's family. I addressed the situation to him but he made excuses for them. I finally left the relationship.
I agree with Lerato on the separation issue. I just don't get it. I'd rather we work on the issue while we are together if we are really looking forward to fixing or building something. I feel like separation is preparation for divorce. However, I do acknowledge it has worked and works for others but for me naaah I don't want to be in that state of confusion. I want to know if I'm in or out.
🔥🔥🔥🙌🏾 maybe you are staying because of kids. I don’t feel like you would stay because of your ego or not knowing your worth. Because you won’t gain anything. Unless you got into the relationship or marriage to figure yourself out or trying to fill a gap you have within you. In a sense of we learn as we grow or there will be light at the end of the tunnel. So either way staying and leaving requests to much strength I hope I make sense and didn’t go outside the topic
Having the “strength” to stay where one is not appreciated (constant repetitive actions even after voicing my concerns), for me isn’t strength. I’m just so sensitive especially when it comes to investing time and everything in a union with a “hole underneath”. “I’d rather be alone than be here unhappy” Karen White for real. I love love, but I understand I’d rather love someone from afar than stay with them while their actions don’t look like love to me, I don’t want to endure pain, to have self-doubt, and feel inadequate blah blah in the process of loving anyone.
So hilarious 😂 Mr Makhs. Mrs Makhs laughter is really contagious. I’m dead by breath of fresh air 😂 and Mrs Makhs visiting her sister 😂We need part 2 please guys. Start with the last question please. We love you ❤️❤️

This was funny and amazing! 😂 Thought provoking Phetola hahahaha I just saw my reflection in you trying to prove a point to my man weirdly it's like a woman thing which doesn't have to be normalized! And Lerato thank you for the part you talked about how you feel about separation! Simply loved this Video! Quite an unfortunate it was kinda Short otherwise simply Love it!❤️❤️👏 God bless!
I have a 2 cents on the last question "would you leave if your family didn't approve" I think yes and no. You should always be on your partner's side and protect them but only if the relationship is healthy, but if your partner is toxic and isn't generally a good person with good character and your family can see that, then it's a different story. A person would have to really think hard about it and consider the opinions and facts of the matter put on to the table...🤔
Am I the only one who hasn't seen a part 2 of this? Where is it? I've been searching and can't find it. The Makhs please pay attention to your load shedding schedule tuu, lol, you "always" leave me yearning for more but this one was much worse. Ka njalo nje? Lol, still loved it. 🙏🙏🙏
I love Lerato’s perspective on things..then again I appreciate it more in a conversation setting with Phetola.. such a perfect match❤️😍
Pheto is so respectful to her husband 🥺
"It's the devil!!" 😂😂😂😂😂

I hope I'm strong enough to not care what people would say.
@@LM-he7eb Fortunately, the narrative has started to change and people's choices to leave have become somewhat acceptable. The conversation around mental health has contributed greatly to this, I believe.
In African society, women were somewhat oppressed. They had no choice but to stay and motivate themselves by calling it strength.
😂😂😂"Guys leaving?"
I swear I haven't resonated this much to two words before
I felt it too. Hei!🤣go boima
Phetola is just so gorgeous ❤🇧🇼

When Lerato started a re "Wuuuuuuuuh!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Absolutely love the fresh perspective from both you guys.
We need a part two Mr & Mrs Makhs🥰
Are we gonna ignore how gorgeous Phethola looks.
I think we should draw the line when we start becoming bitter, turning into this monster and end up not being able to recognize yourself.
This is what I live by. If the situation is changing me into a monster, that’s where I draw the line.

As class captain today i came before the class.
