In the cover ya batswadi, you guys mentioned how long it took for you to grow and understand each other's heart. You have always painted a realistic picture of a marriage ever since. Your videos made realise that you don't get everything right from the first years of dating or marriage but rather work together and be patient with each other towards a peaceful marriage or relationship.

Inasmuch as I respect and support your decision I also feel like often we focus so much on perfecting our thoughts, words, stances and ideas because “we have a responsibility”, whereas that just puts us in an uncomfortable position where people pedestalize you and always expect perfection. I believe in and encourage free thought as this allows and shows that we can exist outside of ideas passed down to us and can form our ideas (whether right or wrong) to be able to open up a conversation and think for ourselves. You guys should always be open to having your ideas challenged whenever they don’t sound so popular. We should have an environment that allows even those with a platform to be “wrong” without outrage or backlash. As your audience, we shouldn’t always think of your opinions or views as counsel for our lives, but simply as that; an opinion. You can put a disclaimer or something because always playing safe won’t allow us to go to places we haven’t been to that we probably should be going to.

Your commitment to ministering unadulterated biblical content is admirable and appreciated. Thank you for thinking of us, your viewers, beyond like- and subscription tallies. Having said that, I'd add: It’s God who gives us faith, and consequently God who can take away doubt. As a person who had been in the faith - and left - and again returned, I can (perhaps anecdotally?) confirm that the doubts of others have little bearing on the existence of my own doubts. Before my exodus (and in being conscious about doing this differently this time) I would’ve appreciated spaces in Christian ministry that affirmed that I was not alone in my doubt. I don’t think it’s the presence of doubt that veers us from God, but instead our isolation in the doubt. There’s a self-condemnation that starts to take place when you feel like you’re the only mzalwane who feels a particular way about something. It is in that that we move away from God. A space where one feels ‘supported’ through doubt, because “bra, me too!!” could really help followers. All this to say, it would be nice see a “God, even if I’m not sure, I’ll trust you anyway”, instead of feeling like the only unsure Christian.

Before my exodus (and in being conscious about doing this differently this time) I would’ve appreciated spaces in Christian ministry that affirmed that I was not alone in my doubt. I don’t think it’s the presence of doubt that veers us from God, but instead our isolation in the doubt. There’s a self-condemnation that starts to take place when you feel like you’re the only mzalwane who feels a particular way about something. It is in that that we move away from God. A space where one feels ‘supported’ through doubt, because “bra, me too!!” could really help followers.
All this to say, it would be nice see a “God, even if I’m not sure, I’ll trust you anyway”, instead of feeling like the only unsure Christian.
