  • Walking up to the Profab 1200 assymetric planing hull power catamaran on the marina berth, my inner Jeremy Clarkson couldn’t help but beam a naughty boy’s grin upon seeing the pair of beautiful Mercury V12 600hp outboards sitting quietly on the stern. I knew they were just waiting to be woken up and set loose.

Looks beautiful - are these normal conditions (lake like?) Like to see how she handles 6-8 ft swells at 6 seconds….

$950K in USD. What space to you lose opting for inboards?

Love the design ! But who at Boating NZ decided to simply have a script read voice over ? Videos lose a lot with this type of marketing.

Yep fuel burn isn't great, more of a weekender, not a long range cruiser.

Simply put, a childish grin is not my cup of tea. Burning 20-30 gal of fuel per hour is so “yesterday” especially for an adult nowadays. Quiet cruising comfort forever instead of racing out and back to refuel. If i want speed, a lightweight racer is key. But a cruising interior with all the weight is not built for speed.
