  • Meet Simon and Anna Ganley. Experienced sailors, eight years ago they set their hearts on a powercat. It didn’t take long looking around the second-hand market to reveal that the only way they’d get what they wanted was to design and build it themselves. Makédo is the result.
    (Note fuel usage figures should be litres per hour not litres per nautical mile.)

    Great video and beautiful boat. I think you might have read your notes wrong… I hope!! 17litres per nautical mile is a little too much fuel for dual 60’s, maybe 1.7 litres per nautical mile. 😊

    I wonder why he didn’t go for the yanmar outboards but it’s quite amazing

    Looks great, a bit tender though? Might benefit from solid GRP hulls to increase the weight? How about getting them made by McConaghy's in China? Good enough for the America's Cup hulls.
