My first Citizen EcoDrive was stolen out of my car! I've bought 6 more since then.... LOVE these watches, I've spent $200 to $650 per, totally worth it.
A great little video highlighting the value for money and performance aspect of Citizen's offering. Titanium and wealth of usable functions, practically never having to change battery, excellent time keeping and water resistance.
A brand that is too often overlooked as a value proposition. You can prefer a gas powered sports car and still love Tesla. Sometimes watch collectors/enthusiasts forget that.
My eco drive watch from 2009 is still going. The only time I needed to adjust it was daylight saving beginning and end when clocks move 1hr either forward or back. But now I need to replace the crystal so I will get it repaired and am considering getting another one but a model with sapphire to make it less susceptible to breakage.
Same here, mine is the field green, crystal all beat to hell after years as a heavy fitter. I just replaced it with the ca410057a chrono, and will put a dial saver on this one. Indestructible.
I feel like all watches have been creeping up in price lately. That said, I agree GMT's have been gaining popularity. I think people are starting to realize that a second time zone is far more useful than chronographs, powered reserves, etc in day to day use. Especially for those that work online.
The SO91063, is tops in this class and I have it in my collection 💯. First citizen bought watch after buying Seiko, watches 💯. Truly, one of the best I have 2 wear 💯.
I love Citizens. I have been wearing them since I became an adult. Amazing tech for the price. Sad part is , Citizens are overpriced in India. Prices are 2-3 times of that you mentioned here. Both new and used. Thats why people lean towards other brands like Seiko and cheap Swiss watches. I wish I can get my hans on the ecodrive bull-head. What a peice.
Hands down i own 3 eco drive watches the caliber 2100 the Skyhawk blue angels and the Skyhawk AT radio controlled and i have the promaster dive computer love em had them for many years with no issues i also own the seiko sportura kinetic love the cutting edge technology on the citizen and seiko
i saw a blue angel sky hawk for sale w/o its battery/capacitor for cheap. but it's a darn risk if there's no damage to the watch in reality. but the price is tempting. so the question is, is it easy to find a replacement battery for these tech marvels?
I've never had an issue tracking down battery/capacitors for my citizens. They usually run $12-$20 and while there is some risk some of the best deals I've gotten just needed a quick replacement.
@@hammondwatch2808 Thank you for the response, some follow-up questions: 1) Have you ever used RelojesdeModa.com? 2) Other option I have is Gioiapura (also european) - have you ever been charged import duties by courier bringing it in the US? 3) Thinking of buying a Citizen, do you have any ideas on the warranty for purchases made through these sellers - Gioiapura mentions the product will have the manufacturer warranty
@@darshankesaria4178 Ive never used RelojesdeModa but I have used Gioiapura a few times. No, I never had to pay import duties. Gioiapura sent the watches with the manufacturers warranty card but I never had to use it so I'm unsure if they are valid.
Yeah the community, many of whom have spent thousands of $ to buy a chrono or a watch with a specific complication, don't like that one can get these complications for a fraction of a price :D Personally I prefer a solar quartz watch over an automatic one, because the latter can get way overpriced, and for what? For having a watch which receives the power from you and not from the light or the sun (I'm oversimplifying of course). And then there's the accuracy: My new $2000 automatic COSC swiss made watch has an accuracy of +/- 5s per day. Oh yeah? Guess what, my $100 Casio Radio Controlled Solar watch has an accuracy of +/-0s per year... ;)
100%. I think automatic watches (which I love equally) certainly have a "charm" about them but I never understood turning your nose up at watches that use modern technology to accomplish the same task. What companies like Citizen and Casio are able to provide at such a low cost is astonishing . I wear my $20 Casio Royale as much as any other watch in my collection.
Great video. I am really impressed with Citizen at the moment, and love the nighthawk. My latest is a Promaster diver. Check out my review on my channel if you fancy.
Smart watches are deposable IMO. I CITIZEN is a much smarter decision again IMO mine is 24yrs old and only changed the battery once and that was in 2020

Solar watches are great. The convenience of quartz without the worry of when the battery needs changing.
The second hand not hitting the marks drives my OCD crazy. That said, i just love the look of these watches!
My first eco drive is now almost 15 years old and I have bought 3 others since. Best watches ever.
I own a Radio controlled perpetual calendar Eco Drive and a titanium Eco Drive blue paradigm. Awesome watches.

Your favorite citizen of all time I picked up that watch brand new for $48 on clearance 🔥 beautiful watch
The Nighthawk WR200 sells for $395 on Amazon as of today. I have found GMT watches are going up in value.

I have the 39mm AT0200-05E, just wondering is it possible to change the strap?
Yep. I believe its 20mm
Wasn't aware of that AT4110 , oh no ....lol 👍 Might have chosen it over the Nighthawk .
Its certainly has more to offer! Really surprised me when I first got it.
I just found an eco drive chrono pilot at tjmax for $120.00 not a scratch or anything on it! I subscribed and liked
Thanks man. Citizen is crazy underrated.
They convert any type of light not just sunlight!
you mention grey market, do you know any trusted places we could use?
Sure do. Jomashop, Ashford, Watchmaxx, Gioiapura, Creation Watches.

Ressence - watches prices up to $48,000. Water resistance UP TO 10 Bar, Super alright. 0___0 Almost up to a sub-$200 G-shock.
"Watch Snobbery" is snobbery.😝
WHERE ARE CITIZEN WATCHES MADE?
Japan and China I believe.

Keep it on steel band like a man thanks
Only watches I do not like is the smartwatches. Why do someone need a smartwatch? Unless you are exercising or for health.
Agreed. If you have a smartphone it seems redundant.

Watch snobbery is snobbery - narcissistic blather worthy of being disregarded in toto.
