At 13:00 when he says reason people love zombies is they're someone people can mow down without guilt is why I love his stuff. This insight into human nature is chilling. It's why Serenity is so brilliant.
Thank you so much for the upload!
Thanks so much for this!
This was great. It's just so great to see him completely owning a room and seeming so happy. So glad for his success. One of these days I'd love to see the script for Goners, that sounded so great.
yes! Thanks for uploading!
Thank you so much! I hope I'm not weepy through this one like I was through the firefly panel video.
Bout damn time. Thank you!
OMG I WAS THERE!! Thank you so SO much for uploading this. Words can't describe how thankful I am for this video.
I love Joss Whedon panels, he's so hilarious I can watch him talking to his fans for hours no problem. As well as this all the fan questions are usually really interesting
glad to hear there will be more sugarshock and fray. i really want to see more of them
Honestly my mouth clams up every time. I have to write my questions on a paper before I ask the question, because I can't form a sentence in my head looking at my god.
I was at this panel. It was awesome!
Joss knows EXACTLY how to tease his fans. And now I want a Much Ado About Nothing shirt. (A shirt based on a film based on a play)
thank you
for the same reason, i am so grateful for the existence of 'buffy'. if u havent seen it/gotten into it, u should give it a try. season one is kinda weak, but it progressively gets more and more awesome as the show goes on.
I love this man.
The talent that Joss has literally scares me. Aside from how funny and articulate his improvised responses were, he somehow perfectly describes the current state of American capitalism without barely a hesitation. I would bow before him if I could manage to move my limbs, but, subsequently, I'm frozen from the joy of watching him talk for an hour.
That's actually quite hilarious.
"I want to go to there."
Ah, he watches 30 Rock!
Dude, irony: you got it right. LOL
PLEASSSEEE post the true blood panel I am dying over here!!
Joss Whedon what a class act Real Artist with integrate and a visionary That the world is finally catching up with his story telling now just give that man what he wants and let him make magic..
I love him :)
another show on my to-do list. currently getting through sanctuary (supposedly it is getting worse though sadly...)

Joss definitely is one of the few directors who truly understands how to create an empowered female (firefly is what I think of). Too many directors today think along these lines:
A. Get the hottest female with all the greatest curves B. Have her run around kicking ass even though she looks weaker than a toothpick C. Have her scantily clad or nude at some point and finally D. She must ALWAYS save the day no matter what the plot dictates.
I am so thankful for people like Joss in the world :)
Hey look, it's me.
If it is really you, what's my middle name, then? What's the square root of eleventy? .... See, I knew it wasn't really him. lol.
I saw THE AVENGERS 8 times. Great picture
I can't even imagine how people could ask questions, if I ever met Joss I would not be able to speak
WINTER'S BONE IS AWESOME!
A great writer, and philosopher. Listen especially to the question and poignant answer at 0:54:05.
WHERE CAN I WATCH THIS YEAR'S
Was this movie temporarily taken down or something? It seemed to not be accessible for a while...
Adam Baldwin eyebrow @ 14:05 !
When does he mention wash?
he also did an hour-long talk with nerd hq this year. u should check it out.
joss for president of the universe
I'd love to hear just his opinions on some of the current or past Tv shows and movies I've seen. For example, what does he think of the individual Marvel movies? Does he watch The Game of Thrones or Dexter? And so on...
Did you watch Buffy?!
LOOOOOL
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is Life, so thank you Joss for creating Life.
And this is why Joss is Boss!
This guy.
When you find out, tell me!
Seriously. "Gay" will always be an insult. Live with it.
He is everything that I want to be
gam groomps
To use a practical example, I don't like government subsides and special favors to oil companies. But I still have some choice as to where I can get electricity from, which station I can stop at, and so on. Limited choice (too limited), but it's there.
I don't have a choice about police protection. I hate seeing officers waiting besides cars for the meters to run up (giving a ticket just for 2 min late), but there's not much I can do about that. The policy is the policy by people unelected.
What are yo talking about?
The difference between corporate power and government power is that, while both want to enrich themselves and putting money into the hands of special interests, corporate power is sometimes temporary. Corporations lose people, lose divisions, go bankrupt, and so on all the time. And their power is fundamentally based on consumer choice.
Government power is usually eternal. Their rules are enforced come rain or shine. The unelected administrators force people to obey their programs.
Joss is boss.
Holy crap that political rant was amazing.
Did you even hear what he said? I was disappointed that he didn't say what you apparently thought he said. He said he doesn't have the answer but that we need to come up with a system that both rewards the individual's merit and seeks to enrich the lives of laborers.
Seriously, re-watch it.
I wish he had had the honesty to say "I don't know about politics and economics, so I can't answer that anymore than I can tell you how to do an organ transplant or to fly a plane and so on."
But then he made up something that was self-contradicting at best... eh.
I don't care. He's still talented. I just wish he was more intellectually honest.
I'm glad you like his work, but I have to say that getting to kill other people guilt free has been known as a perk for decades now. They usually bring it up at least once a year around halloween or a new zombie game or movie.
It's so weird watching this and not seeing the questioners and then at 11:14 hearing a voice and going wait...I know that voice...I used to play Quidditch with that voice...and then Joss keeps threatening to kill his poor family. That's what you get for being the first person to mention how he kills everyone you love; you know he hates that.
I thought BtVS was comfort food without the calories.
Which is, you know, awesome and stuff. It just doesn't rate as high in terms of melo kind of drama.
>2012
>using 'gay' as an insult
Seriously bro?
Troll he had to work for that and hes an amazing talent,,nothing was just handed to this man so get over your self...
Is that an insult?
No system will work when leaders see themselves as separate from the citizenry. Any system would work when the leaders see themselves as part of the citizenry.
Could someone other than Michael J Fox have held the camera.
...
more dr horrible with NPH
He is a hypocrite. He just doesn't hide it. On so many levels. Therefore, fun ensues.
Don't you have better things to do than comment on videos of yourself? I don't know, like write another awesome Avengers movie or actually make Dr. Horrible 2?
The guy makes films that make a lot of money, is there anything wrong with that? No! You may say you hate capitalism and hate the rich (if you do or not I don't know) but I bet if I offered you millions of dollars to do a job you absolutely loved you'd say "yes" in a heartbeat, so don't judge. What's the guy supposed to do? Burn every dollar he gets so that he can live in poverty just to make a point?
True Blood is for gay rich people. Watch Buffy if you haven't.
And referring to Joss Whedon as people proves the brainless point oh so well.
I just find it so ironic that Firefly/Serenity is one of the most anti-state, anti-conformity, anti-government statements about individual freedom and rights in the face of community-enforced power... and here he is saying that American society is too decentralized and individual such that it needs "structures" and "a system" in order to ensure more community.
And he sees that corporate power over individuals is a problem, but his answer is more government power in socialism... still power.
