- We take a detailed look at both the Hotwheels Elite and the Greenlight Hollywood weathered edition A-Team vans in 1/18 Scale Diecast. #hotwheels #greenlight #ATEAM #hollywood
Which is more screen accurate, and which is more "real world" accurate, please chime in via comments.
I love them both and they both have their pluses and minuses.
Like and subscribe please it will help what I do here!
"It has got bullet holes, maybe they hit the lock!" :D
Thanks for the review!.
Haha good one, glad you enjoyed!
If the Hotwheels Elite had the sports exhausts both sides also open side door and slightly darker top grey colour on the van it would be closer to perfect has possible
the Greenlight normal unweather van is let down by its wheels and poor interior but its doors and sliding door opening is brilliant
its a shame two model company's fail to get it just right
i have both models and i prefer the hotwheels elite
but i am just happy they are both available to buy in the first place
and that matters thanks for your video it was great to watch
I agree, neither is perfect but I am glad they both exist and I have them.
Both of these vans are easily owned by the playmobil version for general accuracy, supremely superior interior access and detail plus figures and over all FUN.
The Playmobil van is very cool, but "accuracy" to a period GMC Vandura? I will agree the Playmobile is a far more fun toy.
General accuracy?
The side pipes, gunmetal paint on the top half and the doors opening correctly (not coming out on long hinges as on the Hotwheels ones do) make the Greenlight the winner for me.
Yeah both have their flaws but visually I like the Hotwheels one a bit more.
How much is a hotwheels elite van now ?
I got one somewhere 😅. Ain't found it since moving
on eBay they are going for 200 to over 500
I am a purist. If I had a company that made replica's I would make such an iconic vehicle as the A-Team van look like the real thing in every detail only in miniature. Open side door and the back seats (all seats) would be leather and rotate. Open back door and you could access the lock box and would have semi-automatics. It would be screen accurate. I would have an app that that would operate all the fog/head/rear lights. Perhaps I am a dreamer looking to live in an ideal world but when big business is only concerned with their revenue return then perhaps you will never acquire the desired product that you could imagine. Having said that, 99% of the time it will be sat on a shelf being admired from afar so as long as it pleases and the price is right then your mind IS YOUR OWN to make up.
That would be cool, I am happy with my two reasonably priced examples.
It's fun to dream.
I could of sworn the van was all black with a red line.I went back to the episodes and i cant believe i never noticed the grey.😀
Black Grey and Red, 80's TV was a bit fuzzy.
I totally thought someone came to my door with that Ring chime
I was till today almost on my way to buy the Greenlight weathered version of the A-team vendura van. I saw it in the shop but cost almost like 130 dollars. This is the only video where comparisons are shown and that is shown where the model is not correct with the original van. I have seen some reviews and in all the reviews I have seen there was a number on the bottom of the vehicle. It shows a number like 00285 or so. That means that it is the 285th car made, but on this car there is not such a number. It is sold as a limited edition model and maybe it sold so well that they made more and left the numbers out.
I am glad my comparison was helpful, I really like the Greenlight one and would not hesitate to buy it ahain, but I think I paid closer to $80, and Greenlight makes alot of their cars and they are not limited as far as I know.
Got the weathered one 👍
It's a great die-cast, it's on a nice shelf in my office at work.
@@PitstainHobbies even got the Fall Guy truck awesome
@@mandeephara2467 that is very awesome fall guy was a fun show.
Very nice just wonder if is not to heavy for an RC conversion
🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
I don't think these would be suitable for an rc conversion but with enough time and money anything possible.
I wish that Jadda Toys bring A team van to market and do better version than Greenlight.
Jada would probably do a 1/24 so smaller, but I will still buy it for sure!
Got the 1:24 clean version Greenlight. It's okay for the $28 I spent, I'm happy with it overall. Sucks the rear doors don't open on it or the big side door either. The one thing I'm upset about with Greenlights 1:18 models are the steering wheels are huge on both my 77 TA & Last of the V8 Interceptor. That alone turns me off to them in the future. Plus they don't have engines or opening hoods, The TA doesn't have turning wheels?! Too cheap.. What about the wheel on your 1:18 Greenlight Van it it too big? I mean these look like they should be 1:12 or for a semi rig. I'm thinking of course the HW version is nicer, I'm sure it was twice as much being an elite, no?
The steering wheel didnt really jump out as being too big on the GL, I do prefer the Hotwheels Elite overall though.
For what it's worth, the TV show van did not have yellow lights. However, the yellow lights look very nice. The Hot Wheels elite version blasts the Greenlight out the water.
Maybe if Greenlight would add the GMC Vandura A-Team version to their Artisan collection we would see much closer competition. Regular Greenlight models in general are so-so quality, but the Artisan models are actually really really good considering the fairly low price compared to Hot Wheels elite.
Oh yeah, the TV show original van did not have quad exhausts on the side. Hot Wheels one is correct.
Oh wow I haven't watched the show in ages thank you for that fun fact!
Yellow fogs do look awesome, and I wasn't expecting the greenlight to really put up much of a fight but it is still a very nice model for the price.
The original tv van DID have 4 orange an 4 clear fog lights also the van DID have a quad exhausts both sides with a red stripe round the front of the sqaure exhaust tips.
There was a 1 ton A-Team van and the Greenlight wheels look more like a 1 ton
Very possible
Why HWs is grey? 😮
It's TV accurate.
@@PitstainHobbiesno it's not it was never that light
Neither one is perfect. I personally have the Greenlight one. The clean version. The price on the Hot Wheels Elite is retarded. The way I see it, It's better than nothing and does the job!
I was lucky enough to order the Hotwheels when it was new for MSRP but, yeah the prices for the Elite are stupid now and the greenlight is really nice!
Otwiera z siłą ,jakby nie wiedział,że się nie otwiera .Żeby nie zepsuł!
Grey is way to light
I think it's pretty spot on, compared to the professional high res auction photos of an original screen used van which also looked much lighter than when shown on screen on low resolution TV.
To many inaccuracies on the hotwheels for my taste . Not worth the money these things are going for now..
How much is the Greenlight and how much is the Elite Hot Wheels? 🤣
when new the Hotwheels elite was about $150 and the Greenlight about $75, the hotwheels is much more expensive now as it's discontinued.
