The most advanced "toy car" I've seen is a rear engine 12 cylinder boxer engined Ferrari about 2 feet long and virtually every single part down to the smallest bolt in the transmission and the circlips on the forged pistons and the washers on the carburetor screws is in it and it runs on gasoline. I don't think they've found a driver small enough to actually drive it but I've seen it run. This Aston Martin is nothing in comparison.

Gonna buy the Lego one. It's $160- or so, doesn't have the proper curves due to Lego being mostly a square, right angle brick built system, BUT, it has ALL the gadgets and engine detail, and the eject seat actually works!
The model is truly superb. If I can make a criticism, it is a pity that there is no device with which to reproduce the noise of the engine, perhaps by adjusting it with a remote control. Apart from this detail, it really is a royal "toy"!
