Just wanted to come back and say! Started following you last year, I have watched this before but after listening to your videos you made me purchase my first omnibus which was this exact one! This run was by far really good other than sins past. It stands out and the uncle Ben scene brought a tear to my eye.
It’s comments like this that make this hobby so enjoyable for me. Thank you so much, and I am so happy that you enjoyed the book too. That Uncle Ben scene really is something special. Welcome to the omnibus club, and keep reading! 😃
Thanks for doing this! I enjoyed it and it was helpful! :D
It’s my pleasure, I’m happy to help!
One of my favorite Spider-Man Comic books ever!❤❤❤
And now I finally know why!
Excelsior
Well done. I need a reprint of vol.2!
Thanks for watching, John! And yeah, those reprints never come fast enough eh? 🙂
This is my favorite marvel omni currently adored the hell outta this so happy you finally got to this
I am too, I was looking forward to it for so long and it was certainly worth the wait
Pre-digital classic comic coloring is really better. Everything in this book looks like it's shining and made of chrome.
Yeah the shininess can look a little weird at times. I think I got used to it somewhat quickly though 😋
What a beautiful cover.
It’s certainly a classic. Although, I really would’ve loved to see ASM (1999) #34, #38, or even #43 as an option for the dust jacket, it’s hard to choose sometimes 😋
This whole series is a big reason why spidey is my favorite hero
This series nails so much about the character. And I personally prefer it when Spidey’s a little more mature and experienced, so this was perfect for me!
Bro is not ready for one more day when he gets to vol 2 💀
made wanna toss my omni across the room
I guess that’s why they included Sins Past in this volume. They probably figured nobody would buy Vol 2 if it collected Sins Past and OMD lol
Can’t get hold of this anywhere! :(
It was printed last year, so it seems like stock is running low overall. If you don’t mind my asking, in which country are you located?
I am from the Uk. I am currently torn between the immortal hulk omnibus or spiderman 2099 omni haha
Ah the UK, that’s pretty cool. I was going to point you to www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=55223712 for a copy of this book, but I’m not sure how international shipping would work out, probably pretty expensive.
Regarding Immortal Hulk vs Spidey 2099, well I’m massively biased towards Spidey so I’ll almost always pick that 😄
The only Spiderman omnis I have are the 2 ultimate Spider-Man ones which I've yet to read.
I'm all about the writing first and foremost but I have to say watching you flick through this the art looks very poor.
It’s an interesting phenomenon with this book actually. JRJR has a very unique style and it’s not necessarily always my cup of tea, but I still found myself really enjoying this. When the artist switches to Mike Deodato Jr later, even though I typically prefer that realistic style, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing, and ended up finding that I preferred JRJR’s art overall. As I mentioned, he brings such an interesting flow and dynamism here, and is really competent at selling the big action scenes, the fights, the swinging scenes, and the shots of the city. It all feels so cinematic when you’re reading it.
@@SuperFlyComicsGuy I love JRJR work on kick ass I just think it looked rushed to me as you were showcasing it here...I imagine once the story takes hold of you, you start to appreciate the art more.
