Perhaps not the best in terms of overall quality, but I think it’s quite impressive how Bendis was able to plan this all out and weave it into every narrative corner of the Marvel universe. Just wish the mapping showcased that better.
As far as Berserk, I know some people who are into it but I’m not sure it’s for me right now. Maybe one day though 😋

Great review. I can't stand how marvel maps their event omnis. And on top of the mapping, there's no page numbers! So even if you look up a better reading order, it's a pain to actually find the specific issues you want.

Yeah I was having a tough time with this omni at first, but then I realized it was because of the mapping and not the story. Granted, I’ve heard it’s apparently not mapped as badly as some other event omnis, but still not ideal. Thanks for watching 🙂

Nice reviews! But I mean, isn’t this how Marvel collects most event Omni’s?

From what I know, most event omnis have the event at the start then everything else at the end. This one’s a little weird because it has some buildup, then the event, then a mixture of flashbacks and aftermath. It’s that mixture that makes the latter half a little jarring to read

@@SuperFlyComicsGuyI don't think the issue is the same for DC's omni right?

I think it depends. But from what I’ve seen, yeah, DC seems to be better at having the correct reading order for their event omnis.

The main event is so boring, but everything else was quite good and entertaining. Especially the New Avengers tie in.
    Nice overview.

I largely agree. It’s kind of interesting to have a “Secret Invasion” omnibus when the event itself is the least exciting part of the book 😄

Secret invasion i thought was a complete mess of a event in my opinion because it had so much potential but they dropped the ball hard with this event especially with its ending at least in my opinion.

I thought the event was okay, but the more interesting parts are everything that happens before and after

      @@SuperFlyComicsGuy I can understand that.

This event had a great build-up and mediocre resolution. Too bad the Omni got that ass-backward. Ah well, can’t win them all. Thanks for the review!

Legit - the buildup, aftermath and lasting effects are way more interesting than the event itself, but I really think the mapping plays a large role in that. Hopefully one day they remap this in some way, whether via a reprint or a New Avengers Vol 2 omnibus
