Respect for not selling it for 11k after he said 12k is the lowest he will go.👍
The seller would make a great villain in a movie.
You seen venom?
Like in a 007 movie. Kinda reminds me of that evil dude in ace ventura pet directive. Lol
@@whyyousmilingwhenyournexth4047 yea bro, I liked it.
@@jvac1129 😂The same guy who plays Hector in Breaking bad.
If he were bald he could play the villain in Austin powers
Turns Out He Later Sold It For 32.5K At An Auction And Got 26K with auction fees
Can you verify that
@@abhisekdas435 indeed I can
@@abhisekdas435
Can you verify he didn't??
@@Dougie1969 if you assert something without evidence, you can dismiss it without evidence.
Rick: Most I'll pay is a penny.
Seller: a penny?
Rick : a pretty penny.
H
"Freshly minted, I know a guy at the mint and this is as new as it gets"
An American penny ?
Rick ....Erm .
Smart decision by the seller , no doubt the piece is going to get tons of exposure and realistically if there is a collector out there even $18k is going to seem like a steal ! Finally someone with a brain that didn't give into the bald mans game .
It’s a pawnshop and seller must know that they can’t get a retail price. It’s not a game, it’s business and I think you don’t know nothing about it.
When Rick offered $8,000, you know he wants to maximize his profits.
Ok troll
Yup, that’s the whole point of business
Chi chan his wife goes to the nail salon way too much!
I see you post every where lol
That's the name of the game. Duh.
That's the first thing I've seen on the show I would buy if I could but I can't afford it. I love it.
"Worth a Pretty Penny"
And a Penny is all Rick will pay, Not a Dime more, He's taking all the risk after all.
😆
I know it's been a year since you made the joke, but it stopped being funny over a decade ago.
Facts 😂😂😂
3:43 The look Rick gives right before he hits you with a lowball offer.
Guy was smart for not doing ricks poopy offer lmao
its normal offer, you get money instantly sometimes something like this could sit for years and wouldnt even praised as pawn price, ok most of the time you would get better price but if you need money fast you dont care about couple grand
Rick: "Let's me call my buddy who is an expert on being creepy."
Worth twenty and he offers 11? Yeah this is a commercial for that piece.
If it is a commercial, it's a pretty dumb commercial because now everyone knows he's willing to sell for 12k!
@@devansh5562 but he can just refuse to sell it for less than 20.
I would have taken the 11k and run from that ugly thing 😯
Frs, when he said 8 grand i was shocked
Ricks not there to give you what you want lol he's in it for the money as are all buissnesses
Smart man he sold it at auction for $27,000.
Link?
So he got $20,000 after auction fees. :)
@@PS3GamerSyKe $18,000 after paying for the "Frame", and $11,000 after including "all the risk".
@@PS3GamerSyKe na 27k was after the auction fee's, it sold for 30+.
@@rif5556 i see. Thats pretty good
"I was hoping for 18 to 20 thousand dollars' is probably the worst way to open your price lol
Exactly what I was thinking 😂 The show immediately put 18k as his asking price when he said that
The head comes from a santo niño 😂
baby jesus, niño dios
Its actually great that Rick didn't agree on 12 grand...that guy almost lost half of that piece's value
Brett doesn’t get talked about enough. What a king
polite and knowledgeable guy!
"Surreal" is kind of an understatement when looking at that thing with a hundred arms.
“With the damage”🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes, acting as if candle holders shouldn't have wax on them....
"I have Jesus's Christ signature here"
"Rick: best I can do is 50 pesos and a bag of flamin hot Cheetos, I'm taking a risk here"
the succ47 meh
best i will do is 30 pieces of silver
Feeding chumlee that's alot to offer.
I’m going for 20k
Rick: I can do 200 and that’s final
More like you pay me to take it lol. I'm taking all the risk this won't ever sell and need a frame for it.
One sec let me call my creepy artpiece guy and he can check this thing out
Rick is right. I remember art like that when I was a kid, creepy then & even now
I kept waiting on the seller to break out “this is the time on Sprockets when we dance!”
1:57 is that annabell in the back? 😂
Yoooooo it is!
Oh my god it's the real life Serge from Beverly Hills Cop.
Amazing that he can’t go an extra $1k lol like $1k is really gonna set him back. Making $8k-$10k on one piece he’ll sell for well over $20k
Not necessarily, art is subjective and it's really rolling the dice to buy art. If it were a rare coin, then 15 on 20 is doing well for buyer. He could sit on this and never sell it. There's a lot on art being a farce of an investment, check out some content about this.
@@jeesusmeesuss5247 You didn't get his point. 1000k wouldn't set him back. And, this is a famous artist so he would not have a problem selling it. This guy Rick is an idiot.
@@MarkoTiano I'm literally in the market of selling things and you have no idea what you're talking about. Art is not considered a solid investment and does not carry as much cash value as something is "appraised" at. Something with more liquidity is worth more to a seller. Art is low in liquidity. Extremely low. There's a reason why Rick will pay 70-80% and be alright for some things, and reasons why he can't do 50% on other things.
@@jeesusmeesuss5247 Yeah that's why art sells in millions worldwide, just ask Picasso. And, when I m talking art its not something this guy has in his pawnshop. The Salvator Mundi painting sold for 450 million....now that's art for you.
@@MarkoTiano so this guy, who is still alive, that no one has ever heard of outside the art community is now Picasso??? We're talking a wierd piece, not a Picasso, da Vinci, Van Gogh, Rembrandt. Those have passed the subjective test and time, this has not.
He had his heart on selling it for more, not for selling it. Had a pretty good offer. Cash money. Probably went to the expert and made a deal. Was fun to watch. Great video
01:27 The AI's have come for us lmao
Man, What a piece!!!
I really liked the art. Like some funky cande holder thingy..
That thing would be an interesting boss fight in a video game
Rick is def a dad he laughs @ his own jokes
That thing just looks crazy honestly 😂
I don't understand why sellers say things like "I was hoping to get 18-20 thousand dollars..." Once you say 18, there's no hope of 20, or any higher number than 18. Yes, I know there have been a few exceptions where Rick and Cory have offered higher numbers than the asking price, but that is "rarer than hen's teeth".
He was so calm and collected
Good job owner of the piece ... RICK wants to buy everything SO CHEAP and sell it at High cost . Seller truly Slapped him , good 🥇
It's Balki the art dealer from Beverly Hills Cop.
This surrealistic artwork is 😎
I never really noticed Annabelle there at 1:57
Guy sounds exactly like "Serge" in Beverley Hills Cop.
Rick forgot to say that he would need to frame it.
Can get 20k*
"ThEreS nO mOnEy tO bE mAdE"
wow the last part make it better ., this seller is not abusing the buyer . but rick come on dawg hahahah
I can not say I blame him for walking. That is a piece many would want being one of a kind.
Let me call a buddy of mine 😂
His buddy just Google the guy before he came lol
Rick always trying low ball somebody...lol..
I'd really love to know just what gets factored into these prices. Often it makes some sense but this item won't take much space, can do without restoration, is by a currently popular artist and I've seen him accept lower profit margins before...
4:27 Is that Annabelle the doll sitting on the shelf in the background lol
Actually the doll is called Raggedy Ann, a character who first appeared sometime around 1918 (give or take). Annabelle is the name of a Raggedy Ann doll that is believed to be haunted/possessed, so you were half right. ;)
Can someone explain how it’s worth 20k, seller asks for 12k but it makes no business sense? That’s an 8k profit isn’t it
The seller reminds me of the man in Beverly hills cop, when axel Foley buys the CD player machine gun
This is the coolest art piece ever brought in
He sounds like Bronson Pinchot character in Beverly Hills Cop
self discarded king of ruin 72 omfg he does. lol
Aquell.
@@tednugent8501 took me a minute to realize you were pronouncing Axel like him. Nice.🤣🤣🤣
ill buy something from him in 10 years just cause the video said hes dope
I see baby Jesus and Vishnu in a weird amalgamation.
Mr. Brown and Pedro Friedeberg were creepy famously.
0:46 that evil laugh
I remember seeing this online before. Is this re upload.
The fact that someone’s had that in their house with the candles lit is terrifying.
Brett always gives very good estimates
Music from Rampage universal tour at 1:47🦍🦏🐀
Glad he did not let Rick chisel him.
Rick: does it come in the original box? I'll give you $50.
This piece can be a great for next horror movie.
Ricks using the restroom
Customer knocks on door: excuse me sir I need to use the toilet, I'll only be a min
Rick: best I can do is be out in an hour and I'm taking a huge dump here.
Rick would often make a deal around 70% to 75% of an item's appraised value. Surprised he didn't here.
Gru is that you?!
Rick Harrison’s favorite comedian is Rick Harrison 😂😂😂😂🤣😂🤣
Yes i know the anomaly i just don't translate them without a led container or sealed facility
2:10 did anyone see Anabelle on the shelf?😂
Good for him
Rick was trying to make it seem like it had damage when it really didn’t.
8k was definitely an insult he pretty much wanted to get more than 50 percent f that
12 was a good offer... Rick would've got a 6 thousand to 8 thousand profit... Very greedy
1:48 who else hears the N64 Rampage game theme song?
Rick is a real piece of work…
WORTH A PRETTY PENNY
RICK:
NOT WORTH A PRETTY PENNY TO ME!
Random guy: Can i get change for a dollar?
Rick: *best i can do is 75 cents*
I honestly just think Rick didnt want this piece
No capes!
Customer: Can you give me change for a dollar?
Rick: Best I can do is 49 cents
*that doll is a nightmare*
Good man haha
The reason I love this piece is so I can get money for it
smart man right there
Ya...that first laugh let everyone know that Rick knows jack about art.
If you notice, the starting offer is always half
Customer wants $18k
Expert: It’s worth $20k.
Rick: best I can do is 8 grand.
Hmm I wonder what isn’t right in this sequence? What could it possibly be!?
Exedess I was glad that the customer rejected it. Most important note if a pawnshop offer your the lowest price where you aren’t satisfied, reject it and go somewhere else until you find a better deal
Just because it's unique doesn't mean it's worth anything. There's people who would buy that, but until that person comes in Rick is stuck with it. I know I wouldn't dish 2 dollars for that, someone could give me that, I would turn around and give it away.
Except the art guy valued it at 20k..so yeah it is worth something. Also rick knows he can sell it.
Friedberg is still alive and very productive. Why do they keep talking about him in the past tense?
Sellers looks like he asks this piece for life advice
3:02 is that Anabelle at the back?
Got hands ? 🤣
I would’ve took 11K for that anyway considering the fact that I didn’t pay close to that much for it
At 2:10 did anyone notice the Annabelle doll on the backround????
Back to the Outer Limits it goes!
that definitely will work in a horror film
Bro Rick isn’t okay with making $8,000 off of it? Jesus Christ this dude is a different type of breed
Glad the seller stuck to his guns
