Well people didn’t have the curiosity to learn about cultures and history like we do now, mostly because of the internet. When all those samurai swords were taken as tokens in Japan during WWII, they didn’t think of them as historical pieces but instead more like “yo a cool sword is mine now”. Over the years we’ve gotten more connected than ever and we’ve learned that there can be some sort of interesting background to stuff you don’t see often. I think the importance of learning about different cultures through travel exposes us more and more to these things and allows us to appreciate them more.
It is sad, but the world we live in now is very different from the world 70-100+ years ago

Avalokiteshvara was the Buddhas first disciple who attained the Dharma from him. Basically, Buddha's first student who recieved the official "transmission" of the teachings. The Buddha was a man named Siddhartha Guatama but since he renounced all worldly possessions, his family and his name, we call him The Buddha. He taught his followers who taught theirs who teach us that we all have "Buddha Nature" which is simply "Compassion"...but you have to sit and count your breath and calm your mind/body. Otherwise it's just a bunch of good "ideas". One has to practice.

Art of the sale. If a service cost 10$, and you ask for 10, you make 10. But if you ask the buyer how much he wants to pay, he might say 15, you agree. If you say 10 at first, buyer will gladly pay then when he was thinking of paying 15.
