  • Modified the 25rds magazine by cutting 3 coils off and sanding the load assist channels with fine grit sandpaper. Also when loading, limit the upward pressure of the spring and follower on the cartridge/round and load one at a time.

This fix improved my feed reliability a lot (talking about smoothing the edges). Thanks very much for the video. I have one further suggestion: I used emery boards instead of sandpaper. They are cheap and semi-rigid, making it easy to sand evenly.

I do agree that mags need to be sanded inside. Was thinking about it after seeing certain brands get stuck in the middle of the mag. Thank you for the confirmation!

First, thanks very much for offering a procedure to help alleviate thee mag issues. I tried your fix on 4 mags, and the feed reliability is much better. Between training myself to *carefully* load the mags to ensure proper alignment and applying your fix, I am actually starting to enjoy my P322. I have one further suggestion. Instead of sandpaper, I used emery boards which are semi rigid and make it easy to evenly smooth the edges.

I have had a Sig P322 for about 10 weeks. It is used almost daily in training classes. Have fired more than 5000 rounds through it with zero problems. Anytime I buy new mags, for any gun, I clean them thoroughly before use. As for these mags they have run flawlessly since day one. I disagree with this video in that it is important to keep pressure on the round you are loading in order to avoid rim lock. The included load assist device does just that. I do agree that the stacking should be checked for alternating seating in the mag. If you cut off a coil you may experience malfunctions after extended use so be aware of that when choosing to do so. Otherwise this is a nicely done video instruction.

Thanks for your input, I do agree with you about making sure to do what you said before doing any mods. This is a last resort, so do it at your own risk.

Had issues myself with the first 3 range trips. Frustrated, I’ve Since educated myself on loading the magazine correctly and now it functions great. A uniform stack as you described, each round stacking left, right, left etc, is KEY! Tip, If you notice one round out of place, tip the mag upside down, pull back the tab to release pressure, give it a tiny shake and it sets the round back in its place and continue loading. If you stack it right, it’ll shoot right. Simple.

You are correct about making sure the rounds are loaded into the magazine correctly. If not, it definitely will create malfunctions. Also noticed that these magazines swell when loaded fully. Thanks.

These mags are definitely subpar. They should've been made out of steel.

I agree, got one mag that when fully loaded it was hard to insert into the pistol. Hopefully the new P322 Comp will be better.

@@redarmory 2 of mine, if I load more than 13 rounds, will not drop free from the handgun, which is obviously a mag swelling issue. My 25 will only work with 10rds.
I think if they made these mags from steel, all issues would disappear.
One thing is for sure; it is an *incredibly* accurate handgun. I uploaded a video shooting mine at 153yds offhand against a leaf.

@@Valorius Steel would be good, but not really necessary. If KelTek can make poly mags for their P17 pistol that hold 16 rounds and perform *reliably* (I own one, never had a feed issue). Sig should be able to provide decent mags for a gun that costs twice as much!

Only issue I had was not loading them correctly to begin with. Use the included loader and load it like any other mag. Do not pull the follower down enough to break contact with the round. The complete OPPOSITE of what this 🤡 is saying. Do NOT void your warranty and ruin your mags like this 🤡

I can't believe a quality company like Sig released such a poor quality firearm. If there was anyway I could return mine I would. I have other Sig firearms and love them but the P322 is a piece of junk in my world. I was at the range yesterday and never fired the Sig 22 once. It was embarrassing to have other shooters watching me as I unjammed two clips and never fired. I can't believe I am going to have to perform some gunsmithing on a new Sig to make it work!!!!

I agree with you concerning the issues that many are having with the P322. So far with the modification to the mags and not letting the follower push back up while I am loading it, it's been fun to shoot. If you haven't already, reach out to Sig. Many have had good CS response from them.

Sorry to hear that, It seems like a hit and miss when it comes to reliability. At first it was feeding issues and then light strikes but now it's been running fine. Hopefully with their new model P322 Comp soon to be release, they worked out all the bugs.
