I shoot with the Z20/1.8S and it's an amazing lens but I'd ;ove the extra width. I hope Nikon bring out a 14/1.8 or 16/1.8 at some stage - I'll be first in line.
People say those LCD displays on the Z lenses are gimicky. On the 14-24 Z lens, I use it every outing to get perfect infinite focus. I spent a few hours at my house finding the exact spot I need to be for pinpoint stars. The last 3 years i go out shooting, I always set to that point on the LCD and never have issues with focus.
Hey! This is an awesome tip. I don't own any of the Z lenses with the LCD screens - can you explain how you use yours to get easy perfect focus? I'm looking at the 14-24mm as I want wider than 20mm or 17mm for aurora photos. Thanks a ton!
Typo in the title where you label the 14-24mm as f/1.8 rather than f/2.8. I own the 14-24mm so at first I thought maybe Nikon released a faster version.
My opinion is they are almost identical. I couldn’t find enough of a difference to feel confident saying one was better than the other. Which I think is a testament for the value you get from the 17-28mm.

i have Z20mm f/1.8, love this lens. hope Nikon will have Z16mm-35mm f/1.8 or 1.4 for full frame in the new future. Or Z24-120 f/1.8 or f/2.8.

Please do something about the echo on your mic 🎤 settings.
