ME, too!! I just made a comment about how I love the noises she makes slicing, stirring, turning on the gas stove top, everything. Its so relaxing to me.
I’m sat here reading the comments as I begin the video and I’m already bubbling with excitement at the thought of seeing these canned oranges. I hope my heart can take it
One of many Sam’s I know right Canned oranges I’ve looked in every supermarket for them Anyway decided to get fresh oranges 🍊, slice and simmer in sugar for 10 minutes Yes that will do
C. R. G Well I’m just going to scrub a couple of oranges 🍊 then slice them and boil them in sugar water for about 20 mins That’s it because I’ve been to every supermarket in my quest to fined tinned sliced oranges
I recently tried this cake. I wanna thank hidamari cooking for this awesome recipe. Though my cake didn't look as elegant as the video, it tasted amazing and was finished in a beat. I couldn't find canned organes so instead I put slices of canned mandarin for the first layer. My cake didn't stay well without the mold but that could be because I used a bigger diameter mold and the surface area was too much. But overall an amazing baking experience.
Tried making this for my mum-in-law’s birthday last week. I didn’t have canned oranges so I just used regular sweet oranges. It was a hit! Thanks for the recipe! ❤️
Those are Japanese mandarin called Mikan, a native Asian orange in south of Japan. They’re very common in winter time here and we can peel it easily. It comes in various sizes and juice is very fruity, softly fragrant and not sickly sweet as Florida sweet oranges. Flesh is very soft and delicate. I can eat 3 of those in one sitting for a snack they’re very good. Most Japanese families buy Mikan in a huge box in winter time and eat them through out winter a lot, as we eat seasonal fruits and vegetables, and Mikan is in season right now. We do have many Japanese citrus you know not only Europe or in the US like Florida Lol 😂 Have you heard of Yuzu (Piney Japanese bright yellow citrus) or Kabosu (Japanese lime). They’re very fragrant more than lemon or lime. They’re native to Japan and we have many other Japanese citrus we eat locally.
So fresh looking and so tempting. Just perfect. The absence of music and human voice, and just the occasional clinking of pots and pans has made this video even more appealing.👍👍👍
May I tell a secret I think her cooking is way better than Gordon Ramsay plus when I watch her cook I feel relaxed unlike Gordon Ramsay I feel real stressed out :/
@@seokjinsbeard8529 to be fair cooking in a restaurant is actually very hard and stressful while cooking for videos usually allows for more free time and smoothness so it isn't really a fair comparison
I made this! I used a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap because I didn't have the correct size mold. The plastic wrap had wrinkles so the result was not a smooth orange jelly top. Maybe plastic wrap and parchment paper on top next time? I didn't know what to substitute for the canned oranges so I just boiled fresh orange slices for 2 minutes and let them dry. I usually find cheesecakes too rich for me, but the orange jelly balances it out nicely. I think next time I will add more orange jelly in the cake. Thank you for the recipe!
I just love this recipe. Like to see the video without a single talk and to hear preparation sound. The way they have shown the recipe is so perfect which leads to a delicious result. One may skip to add canned oranges.

Very relaxing to watch. Loving the sound affects. No silly background music. Love it. Awesome recipe
ok im from america and ive never seen orange juice so vibrate especially straight from an orange
Same, it's like *more* orange in the video 0-0
Everything in Japan is better
It's likely actual satsumas, which would be closer to a tangerine. Their color is a vibrant orange like that.
Dont worry, its all the pollution. Australia has the same problem.
Could also be the color correcting when they edited the video lol
Where did they get those oranges it's litrally the most orange orange ive ever seen
Most likely imported from Florida or Brazil depending on the time of year.
From a tree..
