so i discovered that if you have an NVIDIA graphics card, you can click the little arrow at the bottom right and right click on NVIDIA settings, and then click NVIDIA Control Panel, and then 'Adjust Desktop Color Settings" pops up with the options to slide the brightness of any active monitors

Damn, my issue still isn't fixed. Anyone else? My primary monitor suddenly dimmed itself like it's in Night Mode, it's not, and my second monitor is very bright. I didn't see the Brightness or Adaptive Brightness options after these solutions unfortunately.

great video it works. But I had to go back to original Microsoft adapter then to newest driver, rather than straight to newest driver). I was using an older version of the newest driver

for me, the slider is greyed out (in the action center), then when i restarted it stopped being greyed out for a split second then went back. thanks for taunting me computer. i wasn't able to get it working, but that's probably just because my computer's a piece of junk.

I install this something photoviewer and my screen turn black and the app crashed when i use it,
