Hi, just in case anybody comes across this in 2024. Some of you might be like me and 0 tutorials have worked. If you haven’t checked your ACTUAL monitors settings try that… most if not all monitors have buttons on them like a tv, pull up the menu from there and there will be brightness/contrast/other color settings you can mess with!

If its not working try to open device manager then 2x click on display adapters then right click on amd or intel or nvidia then click disable then enable it again (it works for me)

@@nadyaludwinasiregar1442 I ended up figuring it out. It was missing from the computer settings because the monitor had a brightness setting as a manual button to press. I guess the computer knows if the monitor has an adjustment setting for brightness itself..... Check your monitor for a button or a settings menu. Hope this helps!!
The only guy that did this step "enable service called Display Enhancement Service" Bro it liiterally worked, and it was the only think that did. Subscribed and liked!

Hey windows in case you haven't noticed nobody wants their screen automatically dimming and those who do they can go through all the steps of turning this thing on wtf!?
Hey ! I also had this problem what I did was to just click on display adapter then update driver then click on browse drivers from my computer then click on already installed driver option then click on any other driver if you have it .hope it helps

I'm going on about 9 Street hours of messing with this auto brightness setting. Why is it so difficult to add a simple slider bar? Oh yeah and it didn't work.
Most of these aren't going to fix it if you're not on a laptop... You need to go into the GPU's control center / control panel that your monitor is plugged into and adjust from there.

In my case also, I had 2 display adapters: amd radeon and other nvidea , my amd radeon was disabled , just enabled it and it worked
