For a healthy person that never gets sick, weighing the odds of violent autoimmune reaction vs chance of sickness is a decision for someone and their doctor to carefully consider. A side benefit of less vaccinated people (though still above the hurdle rate) is more vaccines (sooner) for those that are at risk and need access to them. It also makes a subset of the population have less homogenized immune response to a threat, increasing the quality of the herd immunity. If everyone is programmed to generate one type of antibody, you open up the possibility that the threat could evolve around that defense (and likely will given how quickly bacteria and viruses evolve/adapt) - more diverse defense strategies makes that less likely to happen. My own personal view is that treating vaccines like therapeutics - prescribing them based on risk factors and overall exposure or a patient's worries - makes more sense than just giving them out to everyone or mandating them. This is not a popular view in North America, though much more common in Europe.

Retirement and/or brokerage Investment account that is also set to reinvest any dividends automatically. It takes a long time before compounding becomes noticeable as compared against your own contributions but it does happen and you will notice one day your account growth and dividend reinvestments exceed your own contributions. There is apps you can download to do the calculation , mine is called " compound " You simply fill in the numbers how long you plan th donate and how much per month , I use a 10% rate of return annually. I'm sure she is a nice woman at heart, but I would not want to fly with this lady. This woman made me so uneasy, can't imagine being with her 30000 feet in the air.
Dave is reprimanding this lady about claiming that she has a volatile income where she has had a history of stable income. These two things are unrelated. Sometimes a volatile job can continue for years in a state of volatility. Sometimes a job that is perceived as stable can be lost due to an unforeseen downturn in that job's industry.
I understand the guilt. I remember when I spent all 20k of my savings to payoff my student loans. Seeing that nearly $0 amount in the account is a slight ego hit. But then, you have to remember, the hardest number to get to in your net worth is $0. I realized every dollar I earn from then on is spent/invested wherever I want. Also, the relief of being debt free can’t be ignored. Yes, the day you pay it hurts, but months from now when you’re paychecks are out to better use, you will not regret it.
Paying off all 20 at once is kind of stupid. What if the engine in your car went out a week later? What if you have to buy a new car? What if you lose your job and can’t find the same income job for awhile?

His whole demeanor changed once he found out she was a Pilot.
Money is money 💰
It all made sense when she mentioned “medical freedom”. Ohhh so you work a job where you earn good money and your job is secure, but because you don’t want to follow the rules of the workplace, you’re concerned you may be let go. Gotcha.
Or because she doesn’t agree with a blanketed vaccine mandate and is standing by her values.
@@02DodgeViper So I guess she didn't get her kids any of the half a dozen vaccines that are REQUIRED by public schools for her kids to attend right? She stood by her "values" and homeschooled them I guess..... idiots.
@@quietearthMT78 there are vaccine waivers for kids in schools who's parents dont want to vaccinate. I'd be cautious who to call an idiot if you don't know what you are saying
Bingo!
I wonder if she talks about her "medical freedom" when she wants to have a drink before she flies the airplane.
I’m not understanding your point
@@02DodgeViper The caller said she was worried she was going to have to quit her job because of her "medical freedom." My understanding is that there are all sorts of restrictions on pilots.
@@brianparrett114 Toward the end of the video they talk about getting notice and "vaxing".
haha Dave just had a brain aneurism
This lady isn’t living in reality. She has imagined every excuse possible to not pay her debt off.
Fear is a tough thing to overcome.
2:10 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sad she is in the feeling of losing her job because “my umbrella doesn’t work unless you have an umbrella” nonsense going on in the world today.
She didn't disclose her income. There are many pilots make less than $100k a year which not a great salary.
She needs to prioritize on spending and manage her money better.
I love Dave, but boy did his tune and sentiment REALLY change once he heard that phrase “chosen medical freedom” from her.
Respect to her for standing her ground. Everyone can’t be bought… I mean I’ve never gotten a FLU shot, but I’ve ALSO never had my job or livelihood threatened over it either… everyone’s so ready to cave over something done using threat, duress and coercion and noooooo one thinks it’s weird?
Expect nobody is threatening or coercing anyone? They’re giving them an option to comply with their company’s standards or don’t work for them anymore. You can abjectly disagree with the company policies but to believe it’s malicious intent why? Because it’s been so politicized that’s the why
@@jp__878 you think its normal for an employer to force medical procedures on you? Not normal for the majority of jobs. Youre brainwashed.
@@staceystrukel1917 the military has mandated many vaccines for decades, nobody has ever complained or whined about MuH FrEeDuM about that...
@@sXePunkV2 If the military paralyzes you, they also look after you... it becomes an issue of culpability when it is forced.
Most employers will not look after you for life if something goes wrong.
Or you could just get a shot, pay off all your debts in a couple months and be debt free...there is that.
Or she can do what she wants and not get the jab.
@@StephenShreds She can do either. But the logical action would be to get a literal life-saving vaccine and pay off debt.
@@jvvaldivia7831 life saving 🤣 you are a 🤡. If she doesn’t want to get the jab she doesn’t have to. You don’t know what the logical decision is for her.
@@StephenShreds She is not using logic. She is playing into political-driven fears highlighted by her “choosing medical freedom” comment.

I watched a video about compound interest and how it grows money over time for your retirement. What I don’t get is what type of account do I need to set up for that. Is it savings or something else?
Retirement and/or brokerage Investment account that is also set to reinvest any dividends automatically. It takes a long time before compounding becomes noticeable as compared against your own contributions but it does happen and you will notice one day your account growth and dividend reinvestments exceed your own contributions. Compounding is the long game but ultimately incredibly rewarding seeing your account doing all the heavy lifting for retirement.
There is apps you can download to do the calculation , mine is called " compound "
You simply fill in the numbers how long you plan th donate and how much per month , I use a 10% rate of return annually.
You will be amazed how much you will have in 30-40 years and how little your own contribution is .
And what’s the rate of return now? If I put $500 a month from now (18yo) till 60 will it actually grow into the millions?

I'm sure she is a nice woman at heart, but I would not want to fly with this lady. This woman made me so uneasy, can't imagine being with her 30000 feet in the air.
Can't make a decision I wonder if she's an alcoholic
Dave is reprimanding this lady about claiming that she has a volatile income where she has had a history of stable income. These two things are unrelated. Sometimes a volatile job can continue for years in a state of volatility. Sometimes a job that is perceived as stable can be lost due to an unforeseen downturn in that job's industry.
Exactly!
Her voice is annoying me and how she’s so indecisive… just be debt free.
Karen didn’t like Dave telling her the truth 🤣
@@beanteam2217 it was during COVID. I never drove, worked from home and wasn’t really allowed to leave the house, so car I wasn’t worried about. My job was secure enough and if something bad happened, I knew I had my parents to go live with for a bit.

YES, always pay off debt.
Maybe Dave you could shut up for a minute and let the person speak first!
Airline pilot who doesn't want to get vaccinated for "medical freedom"? What the heck?
Build that wall, build that wall, build that wall
This lady so obsessed with a second job
Sounds like she was being threatened with losing her airline job if she didn't take the jab.
