This is more interesting and effective than the Symphony 5, but here, too, there seems to be a jump (at 12:59); lp side change?? Yes, this is a work I could listen to again ... and I think I just might ... Thanks for posting!
This is pure nostalgia, and so quite odd. I have heard some of Per Norgaard's symphonies, and some pieces of Alexander Raskatov. This has elements of both, and the temperament of Gorecki. Sometimes I look for a proper reflection of the history of the last century or so. Raskatov edited Alfred Schnittke's Ninth Symphony, and I recommend Schnittke, who reminds me of Günter Grass in his wild ride through Europe's history.
The 5th, 6th & 7th Symphonies are all much the same (apart from the duration) All have largely slow tempi, all orchestrated in the same manner, use similar textures and ideas. The 7th is at least fairly short but still struggles to avoid the utter tedium of the 6th.

I just can't tell the difference between any of his symphonies. They all sound like the same one.
