Monday 21st October 2024 1850hrs Sat in my garden after a a hard days work, Sun went down about an hour ago, there's not breath of wind, the stars are just starting to appear. Listening to this drinking a cold beer ...Bliss.
Comment ne pas me rappeler sans cesse ce début du film de Visconti de mort à Venise que j'ai vu à sa sortie après mai 68. Qui mettait tout de suite dans l'ambiance.innoubliable!!!
My. Father. Made. Cassettes. Of. Classical. Music. This. Being one or. The. Pieces. Brings. Tears. To. My. Eyes. Its. Beautiful. And. Such. A. Young. Ensamble. I. Love. It. Thank. You.
This is good. Well done. Almost too good from these excellent musicians. Tempo slightly uppish. Before playing the Adagietto, it is a must for you to watch and listen to Claudio Abbado at the Lucerne Festival - a real must for the conductor as the music comes through him absolutely. It is 'sehr langsam' - and you will understand it better as you start with that as it comes alive as you progress. Keep going. This is special.
Beautiful. Seems a little faster than I've usually heard it played. I heard on RUclips Debussy playing one of his famous compositions, Clair Dr Lune, I think and I was appalled at how fast it was. His piece but...
Músicos muy jóvenes,muy bien preparados,maravilloso ,Maler ❤❤❤🌹
Meraviglia! Reminds me the opening scene of the movie Death in Venice, directed by Luchino Visconti!

This is much closer to the tempo in which Mahler himself conducted it, with his rendition taking approximately 9 minutes.

Yes, the Adagietto doesn't have to be played slowly to feel slow.
