Tank you so much ! we can hear the silence around in a empty theatre while the sound of emptiness of Mahler’s music is playing trough Dudamel empty theatre while the sound of emptiness of Mahler’s music is playing trough Dudamel and take the totality of our souls.

The aggressive spread of covid was devastating for ensembles worldwide. So the melancholy had to be highly personal to everyone on stage. At the same time Mahler allegedly composed this movement as a love song for Alma so it might also be taken as a love song for the art we all adore.

My God! The deserted Hollywood Bowl and the melancholy of Mahler's music; an elegiac lament for all who have succumbed to Covid.

Danke Maestro

Each time I listen to this Adaggieto, uncontrollable tears come to my eyes... So moving and thrilling. Two Gustavs (Mahler, Dudamel) joined in this masterpiece, sorrounded by the significance of an empty theatre, just adds to a soulful experience. Thank you!!

Merci vraiment.

My girlfriend and I are both well accomplished young musicians, we had the honor of performing at a musical convention for the State of Texas, in front of a crowd of about 3,000 people. We played pieces that you conducted such as °Polovetsian Dances" and "Bolero" is among one of my favorites. I hope that one day we are able to take a trip and listen to one of your concerts.

This music is SO beautiful!!! It is almost ruined by the musicians having to wear masks!!! It reminds me of a prison-NO ONE CAN BREATHE while they're playing!! I'm a professional violinist and this DRIVES ME CRAZY!!! YOU ARE OUTDOORS!!! THERE'S NO CHANCE OF SPREADING ANYTHING!!! And anyone who believes the absolute FRAUD BY FAUCI is very mislead!!! Still, being consummate professionals, they more than do this work of Mahler's justice.
