Hi, I’m Zoe! (Pronounced like Zoey) I’m a 27 year old from Montreal making videos about my REAL life. After quitting my management consulting "dream job", then being laid off from a startup job, I decided to take a chance and work for myself. I'm now mainly focused on RUclips (my absolute passion) and side-hustle contracts in the copywriting and admin fields.
My videos centre around work, gentle productivity, mental health & personal wellness, with a touch of fashion, tech, and whatever else I'm living. My goal is to be open & honest ALWAYS and for my channel to be a fun, inspiring place where we can set goals and live our best lives together. I would love for you to subscribe 💝

It was so awful. I went to NY for four nights, spent over my budget and then came back to home (UK) and Black Friday was upon us so i spent some more, i was crying for payday to arrive. Im going to do alot better this month, hated the feeling of having no money last month.

@@ZoePritchard for non filming work maybe try working at your local library, it’s quiet and peaceful environment, you can set your laptop up, have all your planners with you, be surrounded by lovely books, I find libraries put me in a great mood to get sh*t done! It’s like my own personal office space, and when you want to take a break you can browse through the books…maybe even the productivity section to keep you inspired 🙂Xx

zoe!! you should consider getting a membership at a coworking space to replace your office! it's much more affordable, still gives you a place to be productive out of the house, and has the added bonus of getting to meet other entrepreneurs thru free social events etc :)
btw i've been a silent viewer for years but i watch all your videos! i'm a digital nomad so i love using coworking spaces while working abroad

This might seem kind of wasteful/like a weird suggestion, but what if you do a one month no-office trial? Keep your lease but commit to not actually going to the office for a month and see how it feels - if you truly miss it and feel like it adds a lot of value to your life then you still have it to go back to the following month, but if it’s not so bad only filming out of the apartment then now you know and you can end your office lease with confidence!

Great video Zoe! I would try not going to the office for a set amount of time to simulate the feeling of no longer having an office! If you can set up a home office without significantly impacting the dynamics at home, letting go of the office seems like a pretty good idea. Your office looks wonderful but if you aren’t utilizing it enough then maybe it might be time to consider other options.
    Happy Holidays!

Okay, this is my two cents worth re your office space…Keep The Office.
It ensures you get out of the house, which is important. Maggie is always able to go there with you and it ‘feels’ like a work-space, which helps set the mood to work.
You can make it a cosy space with the help of a quality room heater and some nice eating utensils - anything that will help you settle in to the space. Warmth, and some comfort things, will help enormously.
    Keep it and use it.

At the end of the day you will decide what's best for you Zoe, to keep the office or let it go. I feel like the videos which are filmed in your apartment are great and super cozy but I know you do more that film in your office. Just ask yourself which space makes you feel more productive & inspired, I'm sure you will make the right choice ❤

So, the office thing. Have you thought of giving that up and instead getting yourself a flex desk at a coworking space for a couple of days per week? This way you can do non filming activities there and probably spend less than half of what you are spending now. Many of these places also allow dogs 😉

I say ditch the office. You could always go to a cafe and spend 8-15$ the days you need to get out of the house and focus. That would still be less even if you went every single day of the month!

  • @dinagalall

Regarding the office, follow your intuition. There will always be advantages and disadvantages to keeping or letting go of the office. If it was me, I would let go of the office and maybe replace it with working in the library or a coffee shop and put the office rent money to work somewhere else. I am sure you will make the best decision for you. ☺

I think you should let the office go. I think given your anxiety, especially when it comes to money, you'll feel good having that money to either save or allocate somewhere else. But like you said, it's a personal decision! You do what is right for you!

Have you tried Intelligent labs for probiotics? They have a women's version and it's a 60 day supply. They have good sales too from time to time or use promo codes. They have another adult version with more CFU but the price is more. I personally stick to the women's.

Zoe, you should include your total expenses from the previous months and compare and contrast them to the current month. But instead of doing that every single time in your monthly money video, just do it at the end of every quarter (Q1-March, Q2-June, Q3-September & Q4-December). That way, you can also monitor your expenses and savings every quarter.

On a random day a few months ago I saw your video “Living paycheck to paycheck” and became a follower because I totally relate to it, despite not being in debt I was feeling out of control of my spending.
I decided to try the cash budget method after seeing some of your videos, and I’ve been using this for 6 months now. It allowed me to achieve my savings goals for 2023 and even, gift R$1000 (BRL) to my mom, who is a housewife w/out income. All that saving a litle each month in my envelopes. 😂
Thank you for sharing your journey Zoe, I wanted to leave this comment as a way to thank you, keep up being great! ❤
