    I am an IT contractor. Before the lockdown I had to work on site for all my contracts, so was in London for years.
    Now work is mostly remote so I can live on the river in Liverpool city centre in a 2 bedroom apartment for less than a bedsit costs in London working remotely.
    I am amazed rents have not collapsed in London with remote working, hardly any companies are 5 days a week in the office now. I would explore airbnb for a few days and live somewhere else in the country
    Living in centre London this day and age is financial madness, granted the culture is great and there is lots to do etc but living costs are astronimical and not worth the lifestyle.
    Its much much better in the likes of Liverpool, Bristol and Manchester in my opinion. Even seaside places on the south coast are a better option

    Do you have a stocks & shares ISA Abbey? Understand from finance channels that that's the best way to save long term, just have to ignore the fluctuations.

      Thank you! It’s OddMuse, a little spenny but can be worn with literally anything and I wear it all the time, so in my opinion it is worth it!

    Hello😊 I have a question: Is your current job closely related to your degree ( che eng. ) ?

    • @AbbeyRobinss
      @AbbeyRobinss  Год назад +1

      My current job is not in the engineering field however it does require problem solving skills which are massively developed in an engineering degree!

      @@AbbeyRobinss So, do u plan to move on to hardcore che. eng. jobs, eventually? Actually, I am also an eng student (last year), I'm tryna get an idea about the pertinent job market.

    It's very strange, that Oxbridge Engineering graduates often end up in Finance or types of jobs. Most of them dont do what they mention in their Personal statement. 🤣

    Kudos for being so frugal. I hate it when young people spend money on frivolous things. I think its bad behavior and not appropriate especially when they are just beginning their financial journey as working adults.

      Great question. We basically aid companies on their business management and corporate strategy, by doing analysis and advising on solutions to problems.
