I was at six flax for the first time last Friday. I was in line for this and saw it was mostly girls. I quickly found out why. They need to make this a sit down coaster

I went on this ride for the first time in my life yesterday, I was more focused on how I was physically feeling more than the ride itself. I’m tall, so this hurt. A lot. Places I didn’t know were possible on a coaster.
im short myself, and this hurt my legs real bad, not to mention that as i got off the ride, the thing that sets you in hit me right in the head, it didn’t necessarily hurt, but after i felt like absolute shit, never getting on this again
Dude I went on this ride in 2015, I’m 6’2 so my legs hurt like hell too. Did not enjoy the ride at all.

I was in and out of concsiousness on this ride. When I finally got off, I completely passed out on the floor for a good minute. This thing rattles your head and neck around too much.
When I got off this ride I was limping and I had tears in my eyes because my leg was hurting so much, I’m never going on this again, but I’m glad I went on because it was a ride I’ve never tried before (standing up) but not again!
When I watched POVs of this before I went to the park it didn't seem high. When I went to the park, I'm like holy crap. It's taller than you think.

I’ve been on new Texas giant it is only 153 ft. tall, this ride is 154 ft. So for me it is not a big difference

I went on this ride for the first time two days ago and it make me have a big headache because i was constantly banging my head on the sides. It would be 10x better if it was a sit down ride.
Tbh this wasn't scary at all. And I went on this when I was eleven. The thing is though, I can't really enjoy the ride because I'm too focused on how bad my legs hurt. That's why I don't really wanna go back on this ride. But if all my friends went on it, of course I would follow.

I used to love this ride before I got stuck on it for about an hour and had like 10 full blown panic attacks . The workers had to climb up and get us all down .Literally ruined my love for roller coasters after that .
That was probably either a valley, where the train fails to clear a hill and comes to rest, or an e-stop, where the staff or the ride's computer stop the ride due to a possible issue. Both of which suck on a stand-up. Don't worry, it's a sign that the ride was working exactly as intended and was trying to keep you safe.

happened to us on superman. nitro feels very safe and helps calm you down a bit and get back into the groove of the coasters

@@andrewnathan2903 absolutely, I rode again on two days ago just to see if it’d feel different…now I can officially say that I’m 100% sure that I’m never riding this again. I always feel nauseous and my legs almost feel numb, terrible ride, they need to make this a sit down or take it out.

I’m a dude, and I went on this earlier today. I’m only a teen, and the people who say it hurts aren’t lying, but to be honest, the worst I got was sore legs and a couple of bruised ribs from my chest against the security guard. Would 100% recommend though.

This ride hurts your balls so much.
If you put down your seat a little, it helps a lot. And it doesn't put as much pressure on your feet as well!

Man this coaster is just as terrifying as I remembered. It was the first Stand-up coaster I've ever went on, and in all honesty, I'd say they're just about as terrifying as wooden coasters.
This whole ride, me and every other guy were just screaming "AAHHH!!!! MY LEGS!!!! MY BACK!!!! MY ASSHOLE!!!! MY BALLSACK!!!! WHY SIX FLAGS, WHY???!!! AHHH!!!!"
I was screaming "GO GREEN! AAAAAAAH" and reciting the name of every Green Lantern character I knew of. I like Leezle Pon the best.

Yes, you are! You're supposec to adjust the seat until you can straddle it comfortably. The seat slides up and down, and then locks in the position YOU choose.

Line was empty when we went. Got on front row. Cool. Ok coaster. Some new loops. Some fun swoops. Stayed in our seats because there was no one there, rode it again....eh ok. Kinda shaky.

I’ve been on every ride at that six flags and this was one of the best. All you need to do is adjust your seat before the ride starts and you’ll be good.

I first rode this when I went 2 Six Flags 4 Labor Day! It's one of my favorite coasters ever, and it doesn't even hurt my ass!

I had fun on this back when it was Chang in Kentucky Kingdom :). It was also the fasted and longest stand-up coaster in the world at the time. I think it is number two now.

I miss this being at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom as Chang. When they closed down, they had to relocate it. It was my very first rollercoaster when I was 12.

0:14 hey I recognize that logo! That’s the one from green lantern first flight at six flags magic mountain in Valencia California, though this coaster came before the green lantern at six flags magic mountain.
I want to see this become the world's first roller coaster to offer both a standing option and sitting option. I absolutely loved the standing position. But my problem with Vekoma SLC's isn't the headbanging, it's how the ride is just so unexciting. So I do understand why so many people hate stand up coasters.

Be careful when the ride ends the restraints and seat were kicking my ass. Green Lantern's greatest enemy isn't Sinestro or Parallax... it's the seat.

Rode it once and only once. Had to sit out from any physical activity for two weeks (which sucked since I was deep into a bball season) due to the crazy knee pain it caused. Also caused damb near every muscle from my toes to hamstring to cramp up on the ride. Actual torture

I've only ever ridden this as "Chang" in Kentucky and it was super smooth.

when it was my first time ever riding this ride i was basically terrified i was only 11 at the time but my mom knew i’d enjoy it since i love roller coasters.. when i saw we had to stand up i was scared but didn’t really care. i really got to enjoy the ride but my legs did not hurt or even hit my head at all. but over all this ride was really fun and till this day i always ride it when i go to six flags
When I was a kid, like a little little kid I remember this being at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom as “Chang” unfortunately I wasn’t tall enough to ride it. It’s cool they left that loop yellow though!!

Near the top of my Roller Coaster bucket list is to ride Chang one more time. I was never able to ride it as a kid, being a Kentucky Kingdom season pass holder, because I wasn't tall enough. I finally got to ride it in 2009 several times, but then it and Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom disappeared! I remember it being my favorite ride, especially that first BIG loop. Not excited for the testicular torture im hearing about, though. I was just a 9 year old at the time so I don't recall it hurting LOL
Edit: Also it's hilarious to me they didn't even bother repainting the initial loop, but did the rest of the track. I'm guessing that sign entering the first loop is a sinestro reference? Chang, what this exact ride was called in Kentucky Kingdom, was yellow for those who didn't know.
It is actually 2 things, first as a reference to the villian second as a thing for chang.

I like bizarro better because on GL, you feel like your going to fly out of your seat, and its MEGA scary. Bizarro is better cuz there is 0 scary parts, your ony have fun, and its super comfy compared to GL.

this ride use to be at Six flags in Kentucky it was called "Chang" they moved from our park transported it to that park painted it green and renamed it Green Lantern :D i miss that ride :(
