Instead of a dive coaster since Iron Menace is about an hour away, I think they should consider a wing coaster
Hershey had plans for a dive in the pipeline but Dorney beat them to it so Hershey is most likely getting a wing now. Six Flags would have to beat them to it. I think there will be a coaster war amongst these 3 parks over the next 10 years.
@@AFCompany If SF wanted to add another Dive coaster to their parks, SFMM, SFGAm, and SFOG would be great options in my opinion
@@edt-ze3ke they could add it to those parks for sure but adding one to Great Adventure with Dorney right there would be stupid. I live in CA and would love one at Magic Mountain.
@@AFCompanythe dive coaster rumor has been around forever at Hershey. They don’t really change plans based on what others have. I think that it’s very difficult to figure out Hershey even though it’s my home park. I am not a fan of dive coasters so I am hoping for something else. Hershey is really missing a multi-launch like maverick. Hard to know what Hershey may do until they confirm anything
@@deadgoat20I could see Hershey getting a dive coaster and if they do it would be bigger than Iron Menace, but I don’t think they’d get a dive. I think Great Adventure would prob get a wing instead of a dive as it’s more unique for the area and Hershey could get a surf coaster which would also be unique for the area. Honestly I think Great Adventure’s next coaster would prob be a family coaster tho since they haven’t added one in a while.
100% agree with you for 2029
I think Green Lantern could see a long life with sitting or floorless trains. That coaster has arguably one of the best track layouts in the park, but it is excruciatingly painful to ride. Yes it might cannibalize Medusa a bit, but if the next coaster goes on the arena plot, the increased foot traffic should still draw people to Medusa. The same way that Green Lantern currently feeds off of Superman.
It’s a long shot but I would absolutely love for B&M to start looking at making a surf coaster train replacement since the floorless conversions really haven’t been great. I loved pipeline it was a very comfortable experience and GL has a good layout (though in fairness not a surf layout) but I don’t think stand up has to die or cannibalize Medusa. B&M should be looking into something like that after the success of pipeline
Would be nice if green lantern got a refurb
They could add sitdown trains and that would probably make it a top 5 ride at the park
My thoughts exactly. I love the track layout, but I can't get myself to enjoy it because of how unconformable it is. I would love to see it converted to a sit down style train.
Twister was fun back in the day ride used to be like 3 minutes and 30 is not old 😅! I can see kingda ka getting a treatment but they wanna see how tt2 does first, green lantern is fine just get the surf coaster trains, I can see a flat ride or a family wooden coaster go back where the stadium was, the rapids getting the water falls back! A flat ride going where rolling thunder was!

To go along with your return to Airforce theme, it makes more sense to replace Green Lantern with a B&M wing coaster. Easier to theme and more unique for the area (Dorney being the competition. It could really cool like Gatekeeper does at CP. I think the only way to make a dive machine really interesting would to go all out with a record breaker stats wise with 10 row seating to make it a people eater, even with a long(er) layout with a brake run.
They HAVE to address El Toro in this span. The ride was one of the best in the park but after the 2 years of “issues” it’s a much rougher ride and just not as fun. I’m still passing the RMC it but…probably not.

Happy birthday and great video, I honestly think at some point they could get a clone of Aquaman or an Intamin Ultra Surf/Splash. But a multi launch or family coaster first makes sense.

I'd bet on a power splash being built sooner than later, they could use a new water ride experience since the flume and Roaring Rapids have been there forever. Like you said adding a Vekoma family coaster either a year before or after would go over really well.
Go carts should be gone very soon. Massive space there if they remove the old top gun building, basketball hoops and rock climbing wall remains as well.
Of course you know that Kingda Ka is definitely my favorite rollercoaster. It still needs new loving care. That everyone would enjoy. Especially when the rest of Golden Kingdom is being updated.
I wish you were the one making the decisions bc I doubt we’ll get 4 new coasters in 5 years but we can dream

My prediction is that we get either a Chickies and Petes or a really nice sports bar with giant TVs, somewhere that you can take a break from the rides and have some good food and beers. Best in the West seems like a decent location for something like that.
Replace Green Lantern with the return of Bizarro, but make it also a flying coaster like Superman, and have a similar layout so it is like a dueling coaster

I know you were joking about replacing the park with a subdivision. But, had this merger not happened, I wouldn't have been surprised for them to sell some of the land to fund additions.

Honestly, I think a giga coaster would really help close the gap between Ka and Nitro. I say that because say someone is scared of coasters and are trying to work their way up, the only ride close to Ka is Nitro which is half as tall. Probably a really hard coaster for locals to conquer. Happy birthday btw

Blue and gray or blue and black are different for nitro because the ride has always been yellow with purple
Huss still has the Top Spin 1 and the Suspended Model on the Website so I have a feeling it could be modernized

I could see six flags get the new style stand up trains that pipeline has to fix green lantern
When mentioning Flash being a last minute edition, the same thing applies to Georgia Surfer as it also was a last minute edition. The difference is that SFOG was due to get a new coaster but was technically overdue cuz they haven’t seen a new ground up coaster since 2011 as Dare Devil Dive, while SFGAdv likely planned for a multi-launch for their 50th before pushing it back to 2025 when buying Flash
The great adventure coaster was always planned to be 2025 they just got flash as a filler till then cause the opportunity presented itself
Wish they put a new more intense family coaster in place of runaway mine train. The pond could be utilized a lot better. The park is beautiful. Should use the land better with rides.
Just had another thought. I hope they take a hint from Cedar Fair and add some shows.
Well, cedar point, and Kings Island both have less shows this year. So that sucks.
After 2024, I think they should take a break from the main park and add a new water coaster to Hurricane Harbor. That waterpark could really use a new standout water slide. But if you think the main park needs a new multi launch roller coaster, maybe they should aim for a small dueling launch coaster from, Intamin, Vekoma, or Mack and place it where Rolling Thunder used to sit. That way, they'd pay a tribute to a former classic and give Plaza Del Carnival without getting in the way of El Toro and the Golden Kingdom.
I would like more rides to come and I would love another pendulum ride at the boardwalk. Since Wonder Woman is in movie town. I would love and dream to have a blue pendulum ride named after me Shealin Banta that is 180 feet tall. The logo would be a blue saxophone since that’s what I play on the ride entrance.
Zamperla has already been out to six flags to figure out what can be done with Ka just considering the supports are coming to the end of their lifespan so much more rapidly due to Zumie which came directly from my source whose very much creditable since they work in the industry but will not go into anymore depth with that… but just know Ka can go either way in this situation could be totally reimagined or simply reconstructed like Hulk!
I think SixFlags will get a giga because they have worked with B&M before and soon I think we can see a giga here soon. I think we can see a giga here soon and a B&M dive coaster sooner

How about putting a wooden dueling coaster from The Gravity Group and call it "Rolling Thunder Reborn" in the open space where Rolling Thunder use to be. ?
I like this idea. Have it focused on laterals with sweeping drops to make it distinct from El Toro.
How about if Six Flags Great Adventure will get Batman & Robin: The Challenge, a B&M 2nd gen dueling inverted coaster for 2025, Scooby-Doo 4D Ride for 2026, Steel Viper, a B&M 2nd gen floorless/hyper coaster for 2027, Scream Machine Reborn, a Vekoma looping coaster for 2028 and Aquaman: Power Wave, a Mack Rides PowerWave for 2029

2026 is ElToro’s 20th anniversary.
Perhaps another retrack to the ride (like it needs another one anyway) or they can prepare that area by zumanjaro for something
I think it’s gonna get a major refurbishment for its 20th either having intamin fully retrack it or getting the rmc 208 track
@@Project_Storm1999 I think if an Intamin multi launch coaster goes to great adventure, a full intamin retrack might be possible cause they can reduce the price for the retrack. Spruce up some deal with them for a bit

@@Project_Storm1999 they should go all out on a multi launch, but isn’t Flash technically a multi launch coaster? Yes, flash was last minute and technically a clone on the other side of the planet, but it still has forwards and backwards launches and a booster launch part way through its layout.
I can see another multi launch go to the park if they feel uncertain about the future of Kingda Ka but that’s a stretch
@@ARMProducts1120 technically yes flash is a multi launch but its focus is different like invertago and banshee at kings island technically there both inverted coasters but focus on different things a intamin multi launch would be a way different ride then flash

I do have questions on Savannah Sunset. This is a big expansion to the Six Flags business model. They will have Cedar Fair's expertise, but it's planning began before the merger. It's likely they will have to tweak the experience after this season.
Six Flags has a lot more experience with Animals than Cedar Fair though.
@@DanielBlaney Six Flags has the Safari expertise. Cedar Fair never went beyond petting zoos.
GA also had a dolphin and sea lion show when it opened. And a tiger show at the opening of Golden Kingdom.

I personally think Flash will reset the coaster clock and we could see the family launch by 2028 and then next coaster in 2032 unless they want to do a Ka launch conversion with a family coaster as seen with Cedar Point
If there was a 2025 project, it will be sent to Over Texas or New England to replace Flashback and Goliath

Anyone here making the trip from somewhere in NYC to opening day tomorrow? We are three guys from germany at vacation here atm, pretty desperately searching for a way to visit SFGA tomorrow... We didn't think that public transport might not be available yet, so if anyone has some seats available maybe hit me up, that would literally be crazy cool :)

Come on. Year round? Just opening the place up is very expensive. Too many winter days are below 40 degrees when low attendance would have the place running at a loss financially.
