you are an excellent teacher i am 30 and studying to get my driver's permit and this video helps a lot i just need to work on my confidence and anxiety for driving
It's fantastic to hear you love watching Jacqueline's videos and have learned a lot from them! ❤️ We're here to help make driving as accessible and understandable as possible. Keep up the great work, and remember, practice is key to mastering those driving skills. Thanks for your support! 🚗💫
It's completely normal to find steering during a U-turn a bit challenging at first! When making a U-turn, you'll want to turn the steering wheel as much as possible towards the direction of the turn (left for a left U-turn, for example) right from the start. This is often referred to as "lock to lock," meaning you turn the steering wheel until it can't turn any further. As you start turning, slowly release the steering wheel to allow it to begin straightening as you complete the U-turn. The key is to make the turn at a slow, controlled speed to ensure you have enough space to complete the U-turn without needing to reverse. Practice in a safe, open area like an empty parking lot to get a feel for how much to turn the wheel and how the car behaves. With a bit of practice, you'll get the hang of it! Keep trying, and don't be discouraged. You've got this! 🚗💪
Hi, new driver here. I’m really struggling with the GPS and I find myself missing turns/exits on shorter routes. I drive pretty okay, but every time I miss a turn or exit, I get extremely anxious. Any videos on how to use GPS navigation will be very useful. Thanks!
@@FadeGarden Practice on a familiar route. Keep your GPS on but use it for reference not for directions. That way, you'll be able to figure out how it provides instructions. Once you feel comfortable, try it on new routes. It's completely fine to miss exits - it's not a sign of poor driving skills. Another tip is to turn off the voice. I find it more distracting than helpful. I also invested in a mobile holder, which has been a game changer.
Hey if you haven’t tried this yet, I strongly suggest trying out Apple Maps. The voice will give very specific directions such as “after this light, turn right” or “stay in the middle lane of this fork” rather than telling you what you need to do immediately. I’m also a relatively new driver, and found this to be helpful.
You're welcome! I'm glad you found the U-turn tips helpful. Making a U-turn can seem tricky at first, but with the right technique and a bit of practice, it'll become a smooth part of your driving skills. Keep practicing, and you'll be making confident U-turns in no time. Safe driving! 🚗🔄

2:58 That "no u-turn" sign was not obvious and the view was obscured.... does this really count? Are signs really that hard to read?

Your a great teacher but I catch myself falling asleep 😴 🙃 ..
why didn’t you use pull push technique?
OMG, you’re in Los Angeles. I would love for you to be my driving instructor, pleeaaaaase! 😊
How does wheel automatically turn?
It's the power steering. When you accelerate, the wheel will straighten out as long as you're not gripping it in place.
Thanks
Very good , support for me
Thank you very much for everything like your video ❤❤❤
A reminder to Alberta drivers, that making a u turn at a stop light is against the law.
