You taught me better than my dad, he always yells at me whenever I did something wrong, but this video taught me so much better than he did, thanks a lot
I have my teacher at the driving school but she never teach me how to park. looks like she expected that i come to the school and know how to do all already 😂
I have been very anxious driving since I got my first car two months ago, especially when I am in a parking lot or big garage. I find myself turning to your videos every time anxiety hits. I’ve learned a lot from your videos and thank you for your super explanation and beautiful smile.
Thank you for making this video, it is very clear and helpful. Here are the time stamps for people like me :) to reference again: 00:03:42 Park to the left 00:05:03 Reversing from parking spot and head to the left 00:09:10 Park to the right 00:10:15 Reverse from parking spot and head to the right 00:10:58 Summary
I love your explanations. I moved to Thailand and get used to drive on the left side. My biggest challenge is getting to know the width of the new car. 😊
These videos are probably the best for taking away my driving anxiety and helping me prepare for the behind the wheel test; thank you and to your team, this is all really helpful :)
@@Candycloud_19 I likely won't be able to take the test anytime soon, so I will most likely take it next summer or during December in the Winter. Until then, I will keep practicing and learning :)
Thank you so so so much for this. I’ve started college and the parking is so crazy I get so scared. Everyone I’ve asked about parking just told me to “feel it out” but you showed the trick with the mirrors. You are an amazing person, thank you so much for helping me feel comfortable with parking.
Your videos are so knowledgeable. Thank you. I haven’t drove in 19 years because I was in a deadly accident that wasn’t my fault but I lost my confidence to drive. Now I’m ready to drive again. Your calmness has really given me confidence that I could past the test and drive again.
I just started driving I get so anxious when it come to parking!! But this video is helping a lot and especially how calm you are and the way you explain it!
This video is like taking a refresher course. Thank you so much. It shows what a patient driver will do versus impatient drivers. I am seeing cars taking short cuts. Car is driven through multi parking spots (multi limit lines) instead of using the parking lot rows. And not signaling. Yup, I am getting cut off in the parking lot. An accident waiting to happen. 🤦♂ I am also seeing car A almost finish backing out. Then car B won't let car A finish. Car B wants to pass 1st. I am also seeing some people park wherever they please - blocking cars trying to reverse out of parking spots. Apparently, their text is more important. Then they watch to see if the car trying to back out will hit their car. I don't understand why they did not park their car in an actual parking spot when there is so many spots available.
You're welcome! And congratulations on passing your road test! 🎉 I'm delighted to hear that our videos were helpful to you. If you ever have more questions or need further guidance in the future, feel free to reach out. Safe driving and enjoy the open road! 🚗👏😊
Thank you so much. You are such a good teacher. Your lessons are well stuctured and especially your smiles as you explain so welcoming, making learning excitement and stress free.
I'm worried because my local DMV has a tiny parking lot and no practice areas except parallel parking, I had trouble bay parking even when it was completely empty
I love this video, very well explained and illustrated. Very easy to understand and to follow as well. Thank you very much!❤️ I'm not struggling anymore on my forward parking. 😊 Hope to see one of your video on 45° reverse parking.
Hi Jacqueline .... how polite you're ... awesome sense of driving you have . i passed my G2 license in Canada but for the driving tips and tricks i watched alot of your videos . Especially your this parking lot video . coz when my instructor guided me . he scolded me all the time for not understanding how to park and drive smoothly i was so worried and when i gt back home i searched how to drive in a parking lot and by the grace of God i found your outstanding video . which nobody knows how this video is so helpful . That's awesome . thanks for making such content for us . We're novice drivers and we want to learn like in your style calmly and patiently . i had zero driving experience and i am 40 years old Female . thanks again 😊
Love your videos so much Jacqueline. I just got my license two days ago but i'm still not confident with parking so glad i found your channel. Thank you and hope you're doing well. The world really needs more gentle people like you ❤
I'm an experienced driver, and your videos are great reinforcements. One thing that came up here, and I was hoping to see it happen.. is if you park in a space and the car to the right or left of you is off-centered. What do you decide to do? Still park centered as usual? If you park off-centered, and the off-centered car leaves, now the next care has to park off-centered. It creates a loop.
The little animations are very helpful, and being able to see your hands and when to start turning also helped. By far the best video I’ve watched. Preparing for a test, and have watched this video 3 times, once every day until my test
Thank you for making such a detailed and calming driving tutorial. Taught me more than my mom did 😅 she just screamed at me the whole time instead of telling me what/how to do it properly
I’m not American I’m an Australian learning to drive in the state of Queensland so we have different driving laws and we drive on the left side of the road but this video really helped me a lot on understanding how to park a lot better thank you ❤
I have my test on Friday and ive been watching all these videos to prepare along with driving regularly. Hoping i pass since im 21 and in the military so everyone is on me about getting my license. Still, if i do end up failing, ill be ok with it and just improve on my driving for the next test.
This is so helpful and exactly what I needed. I find myself not as confident while out running errands. I choose spots that have a lot more space for me to back up and turning out. I’m going to keep practicing

Thanks a lot. It helps me a lot. In fact, I learned driving car before and hard to learn because of language barrier(not English teacher). Now I learned and understand how to park.
You're such a great instructor, i end up going back to the video because im listening to you alot. Keep the content, so straight to the point and helpful
These tips are really helpful. I didn't expect parking to be one of the more frustrating parts of driving for me but it is lol. I get extremely paranoid about hitting cars, but just knowing these point of reference tips with the mirrors is great. My parents haven't been great at explaining how to park because it's just instinctual to them now, they don't really know what tips to give i guess. My dad just kinda let's me try and figure shit out on my own which is sometimes a bit annoying as well.
I just started driving (July 26th 2024) and when ever I stop for pedestrians my mom says “why are you so nice?” Cause she would speed up to get ahead of the pedestrians 🤦🏻♀️I have my first BTW driving with my instructor this Friday (I’m so nervous 😭) I don’t live in the same state, I live in MD but ur videos make me less nervous bc I’m learning virtually lol 💕💕
Congratulations! I personally failed mine today... I had to do a 3 point turn (on a narrow road) and I accidentally got a little off the road into the grass (it was my very first time doing that, my dad didn't teach me that at all, thankfully I watched RUclips so I at least knew what it was) but the other two mistakes I made was when parking (the parking lot was full in dmv and narrow, I had to reverse to fit in, so yes that too was my mistake) and then I accidentally went 28 on a 25...

Thanks for the sharing! When you parked you talked about using the mirrors and car symbols (eg H for Honda) to judge the distance and when to turn, May I know if this rule works on all sides of vehicles?
Just a suggestion when deciding on how forward one should park the car in parallel park is to use the left reference point I..e the curb line in front of the car should be below the left side mirror. I wouldn't be comfortable matching my left side mirror with the mirror of the car parked left to mine as they can be wrong
