Great video very informative especially night review...keep up videos on ur tesla updates and tesla products...based on ur review I finally pulled the trigger on a black 2017 model s 75 rwd ...thanks brother
Congratulations!! I hope you love it as much as I love mine 😀 Yes, I'll keep doing Tesla-related videos!
Congratulations! It looks awesome!
Thank You! I love it!
Thank youu, really enjoyed this!
Awesome! Glad you did!
Great video! Very informative.
Thank You!
Please do a video for newbies about what needs to be done when u first buy it like setting up the account and transfer and the app....thank u bro 🙏
Good idea! 😃
Note it is recommended that you only charge the battery to 80 -90%. for the battery to last as long as possible. and that you charge the battery as soon as it falls below 20%
Yes! Elon says 80-90 for most (nickel) Tesla batteries, but full is ok for LFP batteries: "I’d personally slightly opt for iron pack, as it wants to be charged to 100%, whereas nickel prefers ~90%"
@@FrugalNotCheap strangely it is also recommended for Tesla 3. I have seen it on other RUclips channels. and then it's about cars that are manufactured in 2019 or later
You bought just at the right time. I quite didn’t. In June ‘22, I ended up buying the best priced (at the time) Model S 100D (70k miles) with FSD, Premium, etc. set me back $58k net (plus title, fees, etc.). Purchased in NJ. A comparable 100D would have cost 8k more in MN. It’s quite stunning how different the prices are across the nation. I flew out and drove it back. 22 hours, including charging stops - and a fantastic experience.
Oh, wow! 8k sounds worth the trip, and it sounds like you are loving your 100D 😀 Hitting the accelerator never gets old hahaha
What did you total in charging fees on the 22 hour journey?
I am considering a 75D Model X with FSD in Florida for $58k. Also, did your FSD transfer to you?
I very much agree with your opinions on the Model 3 vs the Model S! I really wish the Model 3 was a hatchback as well. I like sedans so much more than SUVs/Crossovers, but the only drawback is usually the trunk. With the Model S, that's not an issue!
Exactly! Amazing car, It's been months and I'm *still* making up excuses to go out and drive it! 😀
Brilliant!
Thank You!
But it should be connected USB memory of 128 GB as well. if it's like the newer Tesla
but I think that usb connection is in the glove compartment
Yes! I got the $1,500 MCU2 upgrade and have connected a 250gb Samsung SSD, partitioned in 2 parts: dashcam/sentry, and music. Works great!
Nice video man, how did you find such a good model s for 30k? Everywhere, I check, it is around 60k
Thank You! I bought it in January or February, and it's a 75 RWD. Since that time, the used market has gone way up! Chase myCar estimates my car is worth almost $44k now! I bought it from Nice Cars of Long Island (aka South Shore Auto Brokers, a small dealer who has been doing internet (eBay) sales for a long time. He was great! Buying from Tesla I've heard many horror stories. I wish they would really up their customer service and service game.
Tesla also tells you how much you need to charge to get to the next charging station. you click on the map
Great feature!
They say that if the computer is before 2013 -2014. The computer hardware may need to be upgraded
Yep, I've got the MCU2 upgrade!
Hey man great video...im getting a 2017 s 75 next week also... it had 43k miles. I drive for a living as a mobile trainer...about 80 to 100 miles a day. Do you think I will be ok with the range this car has?
Congratulations! I keep the charge between 90% and 20%, so that's 70% of the full 250mi range or 175mi - should be plenty! The main thing will be charging, you'll want to be able to charge overnight (8hrs or so) so 120v like I'm doing won't cut it. Otherwise, I can't see any issues. Hope you love it as much as I love mine!
@@FrugalNotCheap thank you bro!... your car is beautiful thank you for response
@@FrugalNotCheap I'm getting my 2017 S75 next week hopefully, paid deposit. I'm from UK and mine luckily has free unlimited lifetime supercharger. And free premium connectivity for life. Can't wait really 😊
Question - I'd also be driving approx 80 - 100 miles 6 days a week, with supercharger charging do you think the standard S75 will be sufficient?
Thanks
Congratulations!!! 80-100mi isn't much with 200mi+ of range, but hopefully the superchargers are convenient on your route and not too far from home. Supercharging exclusively is harder on the battery, you might keep the State of Charge lower as the higher SOC is where more heat is generated. Hope you love it!!
@@NOT_MOUNT_7 Hope you don't mind the cheeky question but how much have you paid for yours? I'm looking at the minute and free lifetime supercharging is a big selling point for me I think 🤷🏻♂️
There was also a Tesla S with a sunroof
That would be really cool!
you need a Tesla charging box on the wall 🤠
thanks for this... didn't hear it if you mentioned it, you really should install the 220V charging outlet to reduce your charging time. For me, at home it charges at a rate roughly equivalent to the driving time. Plug it in at night, it's ready in the morning.
Also, having solar panels make it a no brainer.
Superchargers are getting MUCH faster.
Sorry I missed this comment! That sounds like a great setup 🙂 I work from home and rent an apartment- best part is the electricity for the garage isn't billed to me!
Do you still recommend the 2017 model S RWD? did it gave you any issues? Thanks.
I still absolutely love it! In the video, I mentioned a milling sound from the rear, and they replaced the drive unit under warranty. Other than that, I haven't had anything come up that wasn't due to wear and tear. It's an incredible car, and it has only gotten better due to software. I have both the MCU2 upgrade and FSD and it's awesome.
those radar sensors - are not radar sensors, they are ultrasonic transducers..... used for close range stuff
Thanks for commenting!
Is your Tesla right hand drive?
It's left hand drive
But don't free chargers charge slower?
Paid charge should provide at least 22kw. but many also 100 kw or more
There, other electric cars charge. There you can also charge a Tesla. for example outside a hamburger bar
Yes! They're usually about 8kw, so it works well if you live close to work or work from home. Otherwise you'd want to get charging installed at work or home or use supercharging. I've got a garage with an outlet at my apartment complex
Any issues since buying the model s? TIA
So far so good! I cleaned out the hvac system and replaced the cabin filter myself. That's it! I plan to do a one-year review :)
@@FrugalNotCheap thanks for the reply! I purchased a 2017 model s 75d and a few months ago I had a suspension issues ( fore link) snapped, luckily it happen while backing out of my driveway. Now I’m scared to drive it 😔 but I love that darn car lol. I’ll keep an eye out for the 1year review, maybe you can make one on how to clean the hvac system/ filter ( I need to do that myself) .
Sorry to hear your had that issue! Hopefully that's the only one. Great idea! I'll want to clean all that out after all the leaves fall, so I'll make another video, thank you!
How much was this car?
ruclips.net/video/TWHiczBdaqk/видео.html
$38k :)
How are you doing, i had a question
Doing well, thank you! Hope you are too. Ask away!
@@FrugalNotCheap can you do a video about trying to buy a used 2017 model s Tesla now and a cost a evaluation video because i think the prices went up
They went up a lot! My 38k car is now worth 47k!! The car shortage is really pushing prices up :(
Let me think about your video idea, it needs to be more useful than just that prices went way up...prices are up for used cars across the board, so relatively speaking it's similar..the problem is not everyone's incomes have gone up :/
I'm going to record a video on this topic 🙂 I plan to have it come out either this Friday or next Friday! Thanks again for the request!
