My friend does the same thing u do.. I showed him your channel said said he watches you. He loves the channel!
Responding 3 yrs late but man, thats a dream car bro! everything you described as far as not worrying about maintaenance, gas costs ect and just being able to Drive without having to live under the hood or always lying on my back under the car... wow, thats something ive not experienced in many decades... its beyond my grasp price wise but what a car!
Love the Tesla, what a bargain! I don't think there is a tax credit on used EV's. Save yourself some money, those rims look great, and personally, I think gloss black rims on dark silver paint would look bad. In any case, enjoy!
i agree a dark silver or a gun metal grey, on these cars look great, the only thing i don't like in the car is the sticker bellow the p90d badge
Taxes bonuses? Only on new cars I think....
@@MGBranco lower taxes are good only if it helps you?
@@MrTintbrentsorry. Forgot to point out that that is a fact in Portugal...
There is a 4000 tax credit for used EVs
just for people that don't know, the facelift happened in mid to late 2016 and there are third parties that will replace the front cone with the updated face for you (as randy said in the video).
Randy Last week: Gotta get rid of some cars because I need money
Randy this week: I still have my 60,000 Corvette and I just bought a 60,000 Tesla at a dealer
Jerry Berryhill that RUclips $! I hope he doesn’t end up like MC Hammer (broke), but maybe TK...from TK’:s garage will give him a job
Lol
Jerry Berryhill Because of stupid people like us watch his crap video.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a way to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb lost the login password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Yehuda Quinton instablaster ;)
A positive attitude toward a Tesla... Very refreshing!! Thank You Randy!
This car is just amazing. Keep up the great work Randy!
Biggest cost is 100% the tires being a 5,000lbs, sub 3 second car with insane torque it’ll eat up tires a lot faster than your average daily that weighs 3,000-4000 lbs
2.66 seconds....(I timed it twice) awesome!
Thank you for that.
Great deal Randy! I have a 2018 Model S 75D and love it. I wish I had the performance version. You will probably want to wire your garage for 220 volts so you can charge at home. I charge mine to about 80% and it takes about 5 to 6 hours and costs about $6 per charge. It’s like your phone. Charge it overnight and it’s ready to go in the morning.
the base version of the 2018 model s 75d has 518 horse power though right? so whats the difference with the performance package?
Federal tax break is only good for the original purchaser. Does not apply to used vehicles.
Yep, no tax credits on used cars. Sorry. It makes sense though.
Correct. Otherwise families would just keep selling it to each other and get tax credits.
my 2 ¢ on the Tesla, I did not have a great opinion on them, but thank to your honest opinion, I like them now, I can't afford one, but respect :) Thanks for the videos :)
That’s the factory 2016 front end.

Randy is a wigger
Back in 2016 I was driving Taxi in St Albert, Alberta, Canada when I seen a TESLA just ahead of me at a light. Light turned GREEN and POOF! he was almost a block away BEFORE my Taxi got across the intersection. VERY nice cars. Wouldn't ever own one. BUT they are nice.
I thought you were going to say Poof it blew up and caught on fire LOL =)
@@shartne lol. Nope. BUT I did see a TESLA take on a CORVETTE and a MUSTANG. The TESLA left both so far behind that the guys decided to go to TIM HORTONS and have coffee.
Way to go Randy. You can install a home charger if you need to. I am an electrical contractor in Canada. We install a lot of commercial and residential EV Chargers.
Just make sure your house has enough electrical capacity to install one or use a load sharing device. This device reads how much power your house uses and cuts off the car charger if your house consumers more than 80%.
Your watt hour is your new feud economy gauge. If you are getting approx 3 miles per KW/HR, your fuel costs if you charged at home and pay approx $0.10 per KW/HR is $0.03 per mile, or $7.50 approx to fill up your car if the battery is at 0%
Now add solar to your house and drive on the power of the sun!!
Anyone else think the Model S is one of the most important cars ever made? Taken electric to mainstream and leading to one of the biggest shifts in automotive industry ever. Nice buy Randy
Yup. While I myself prefer older stuff, newest vehicle is an 03, electric car fans deserve to have options as well. Regardless of how it's powered, we're all car guys. There's room for all of us
That tesla is dope.
Randy… 1st of all, CONGRATULATIONS man! Very cool ride and peace of modern-day technology. 2nd of all, this may or may not be the 1st RUclips video of all time to beautifully honor the modern technology that is the Tesla while in the SAME video, without an ounce of sarcasm, giving us a freaking awesome cold start-up of an American muscle car (straight pipes no less!). Gotta love your willingness to illustrate dichotomy! It's sort of like me, dude, yeah I like Star Trek… but I ALSO love Star Wars! ... F the rivalry!! (That could be a good T-shirt idea for you - have an American muscle car next to a Tesla with something like "F the rivalry… I love 'em both!"
Also, love the shout out to Alex, regarding the police patch & token as well as your respect and validation for police.
Sorry we weren't able to meet up in Dallas the other day but I truly look forward to meeting you hopefully someday sooner rather than later!!
Man congratulations ik last year u did not think u would have this car ....congrats man YOU DESERVE IT

Randy, Its a really neat car. However, I would rather watch you pick up a Mid 60's Pontiac and get it up and running and sell it...
Gatomon Tailmon LOL why go back to a junk car when everything he will ever need is there
@@B0xlife1 What I am after is that I do like the Tesla stuff but I came here for the picking up and fixing cars and selling them. though an old Classic would be cool
Yes a 1964 GTO Ragtop with a 4 speed or maybe a 1969 Friebird ragtop.
It's a little shocking to me to this day with the huge amount of variety of things to satisfy everyone taste in this country and around the world that I still see random viewers trying to change what a RUclipsr produces for our viewing pleasure! It's pretty simple, you don't see what you want to see keep looking. But It's incredibly rude to ask a producer to change what they do or how they do it!!
@@berrystrim Yes random viewer.......you know. :)
You do have coolant for the computer system., I understand that if you take off too fast to many times you can break something in the drive system, and never run it out of juice, I heard from ones owning them say it will destroy the battery., they are beautiful cars and I hope you enjoy it.
It doesn't "destroy" the battery it just degrades it
Thank you Randy for all your work on the Chanel. There is nobody else I have yet to see show exactly what a Tesla is all about. You have been an inspiration for me when it comes to demonstrating every aspect of car ownership. Congratulations on your purchase and I will be looking forward to every video about your new Tesla.
I like it Randy! Congrats on your purchase!
Bravo on the Tesla purchase. The loss of a V8 rumble is more than compensated for by the press- you-back-in-your-seat power pulls. The super quiet ride and all of the fun digital inputs are a great plus . Enjoy!!
That's awesome! Hope you get much joy out of it!
Thank you!
Randy, here's an idea that has not been worked to death on electric cars. Install a 240 v charger in the garage, include a meter and keep track of the actual purchased electricity versus mileage. I think people would be impressed with what can be saved using mpg equivalent with free supercharging miles removed from the equation. Not saying don't use free supercharging when its convenient, but show us the straightforward mpge advantages from the house, charged while you are home. Given the Tesla Model S epa number is 102 mpge and you still have a supercar's acceleration and a luxury car's amenities, its clear Tesla beats the heck out of a Corvette's 28 mpg. That's real money that does not require waiting at a Tesla supercharger on any routine basis. Second, who cares if you can or can't go cross country in a Tesla or a Chevy Bolt? Lets face facts, virtually everybody that can afford a Tesla will have a second or third car that they can take for that 2000 mile trek into the wilderness. Or they can rent the car of their choice for long distance trips, a reasonable alternative as well. Clearly electric cars will handle 98% of everyone's daily driving without ever having to stop at a public charge station. Add solar pv to the roof of a house and there are even more economical miles. To me the only disadvantage of a Tesla is depreciation but you have nicely sidestepped the biggest chunk.
Nice car, I still would have used my access to dealer auctions and got one for under 50k but that's just me. I enjoy the content, keep it up.
Couple guys on Tesla owners online have driven from Canada to Florida and said they used autopilot 95-98% of time. They said it makes you so much less tired than driving without autopilot.
My friend you done good. Beautiful car. Enjoy it.
Thank you.
I own pretty much the same used Tesla, but mine had twice the miles. But I bought mine used from Tesla.com, so it included their free charging and their 4-year 50K mile bumper-to-bumper warrantee. This was in June, 2019 for $59K. Quicker than a Hellcat, cheaper to fuel than a Prius, quieter than a Lexus, and classy like a Jag. All at the same time ... simply amazing ... love it!
10 minutes ago uploaded 😮 I’ve never been this early 👍 nice car 🔥
Nice vehicle! With the lower than usual price tag, and the later front end, I guarantee it's been wrecked. Tesla parts are super hard to come by. Takes months to repair at a body shop. Previous owner was probably able to get the 2017+ body panels before the 2016 panels. The TFLNow channel model 3 took almost 6 months to be repaired.
16:00 Randy listening to Ruff Ryders Anthem 💪🏾💪🏾
I noticed it on the dash at the 8min'
sorry, there is maintenance. You have to perform coolant flushes. The coolant keeps the batteries cool / warm. You also have a standard 12 V battery to be able to access the vehicle and they do go flat. You are NOT paying for Fuel, but there is a cost for the Electricity to charge the car. Your super charging might be free, but what ever deal you received others might not receive. BUT way to go. Awesome car ;)
Now you have to buy a P90x to complete the package deal. Lol
It's kind of a necessity
Since Randy has the P90D, he needs P90X for those ripped Washboard Abs to complete the aesthetic look. 👍
Or a FN P90 lol
Randy, I am really happy everything is going well for you since what type of hell you went through in your past. Enjoy your accomplishments!
Thank you so much!
@@AutoAuctionRebuilds welcome!
Woo hoo, halfway through the video and no TK, this is nice!!
😆
Pretty cool cars. I bought a 2016 Model X, P100D...it was the first one registered here in AZ. I bought it as a flip car since there was a 3 year waiting list. I paid $148K and listed it for $200K. I traded it for a 2016 MB Maybach S600 + $10K cash.....sticker was $192K on the MB so it was a great flip! Enjoy it!!
Randy’s current music selection “E-40 Captain save a hoe”! Lol, love it!!! Haha
Music??? More like computer generated tones.
Great car, i used to be meh about Tesla's, but have been liking them more and more. Been looking for a decent lease for one .
Just the fart option is worth 65K LOLOLOLOLOL
What Tesla model s new year ago?
Thanks for the video. The “Tax Credits” are for new vehicles only.
Nice video…
it’s clear you’re very happy with your purchase as you talk about everything it has, how you got a good deal and how proud of it you are.
Just remember, no dealer sells cars “at a loss” on used cars. They made their money.
Sounds like “both sides won” and you got a car you are very happy to have.
Congrats to you.
Cool car Randy! Way out of my price range, I'll stick with my trucks from the 90s.
I rode in a Tesla Model 3 today as a uber rider. I was a hater of them until then. That was an awesome ride! I think you definitely made the right decision on your purchase after that.
Congratulations, Randy, really happy for you to pick up a really good car. Randy an advice, don't super charge to 100% , you will take the life of the batteries as the super charge will depleat the life of batteries, so avoid the super charge, and don't charge to 100% and don't let it go down the 15%. So you will prolong the life of the batteries.
Beast of a car Randy, you will have so much fun with this bad boy, great video again
Thanks!
Hi Randy! Congrats on the new car! Just a quick correction to something you said. You DO need coolant for the batteries on your Tesla. It DOES use glycol coolant to cool down the batteries.
Keep up the great content!
I can vouch for u on this car, I had a 17 model s p100d, that thing is crazy! The pull is amazing, especially the 20-30 to 60-80, it dies around 110-120, falls flat
When you made Jessica fart and she laughed..... Man, she's a keeper. Marry her NOW!!!!
Hi Randy. Wish you well with the Tesla. E V cars are the future. I am from South Africa. My country is very far ready for E V cars. We are currently having load shedding.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!
💪🏽 that’s insane...INSANE+ that is woohooo, I love watching Tesla videos
Hi Randy! Love the car! I've bought and traded in so many cars in my life, that i've learned dealership regardless on how clean the car is will only give you "Good" condition trade in value. I wished you would have bought it for $65,933 instead. Actually, based on our upcoming recession/depression $62K would have been a better price. Regardless of what you paid..congrats enjoy the car.
I posted a link to a extended range tesla p90d 2019 model. For 38k. With 32,000 miles avail in Calif. 1800 to ship it to him.. Direct from tesla's giga factory it was driven by a Tesla executive my wife works for tesla. But i guess Randy DID not want that deal.. I was trying to get him that deal but now my wife got that deal
I’m sold,in theory I could use that for work i do 56 miles each way to work and smile doing it.i never liked these before seeing your first two videos. Cheers randy.
I'm sooooooo pleased for you! You are doing so, so well young man compared to a couple of years ago!!! NICE ONE!!! Teslas are frickin', frickin' AWESOME!!! Best wishes from Europe dude. Please put your aircon on recycle, cos Coronavirus, is airbourne. WEll, it is, over here. Teslas P90D's rule, they....rule!! (My next car.)
Randy, you forgot about one big expense, the high cost of insurance! While $66K sounds like a good deal I can't see spending twice what my house cost on a vehicle. For that price it had better be able to fly!
I'm no expert here so please don't call me out here. I do watch Rich Rebuilds he has video on some of the maintenance on these there is gear oil in them i think needs to be replaced but very little maintenance.
And coolant for the batteries.
A little bit of maintenance, but much less than ICE cars. Lube maybe every 12-24 months. Coolant 24-48 months. They usually just check it, maybe filter it and return to the system. My friend's '16 Model S is still on it's original brakes. He just bought a 2010 Roaster for $49k. Bound to be a classic some day. They still go for $50-70k.
I like it a lot, I want one...awesome purchase. Prayers you get the corvette dealer issues worked out.
23:50 that sounded TOO REAL LOL
Randy, CONGRATULATIONS on getting a 2016 Tesla. Those are nice. I test drove a 2011 Nissan Leaf electric some time back and I enjoyed driving it, and it is more in my price range, but I'm happy for you and I hope you enjoy it for years to come.
Neat car I wonder how it’ll hold up in 10 years from now
@Luna EB Don't forget, there's that satisfaction people will get for having a reduced carbon footprint too...
Nice car and good deal. You know the Honda dealer did not loose any money. Wholesale values are just a guide. Your local market dictates true value. Love Tesla!
Auto auction hustler
You have the generation effect on the accelerator pedal. You can thus use it as brakes at the same time. That means you can transfer power back to the battery on downhills and when braking
Man the charger sounds great!
Thank you!
After watching your Tesla rental video and this recent purchase, I’m in love with Tesla!! I always just ignored them when I’d see them in the street but now I just drool! Enjoy Randy hard work pays off!
The Tesla is dope, but I want a car that is loud, I want a car that wakes up the neighbors in the morning.
It's actually pretty exciting to have a car that makes no noise, and leaves everything in the dust. Makes people wonder what just happened LOL!! I love my loud cars too though.
Zackary hosler I don’t, I live beside a house that has two Lamborghinis, and everyone hates them, including me, they got rid of the stock exhaust so now it’s just too loud. It’s really annoying at 9 am when I am still in bed
Dude, I love that it correctly selects the type of car that's in front of you or on either side. So cool!!
You may get a state credit, but the federal credit is only on new cars
Noah On 5G what about a used hybrid in nyc?
Too2thehead ! Again, you MAY get state credit, but federal only applies to new cars.
Noah On 5G sopeople think you could just sell a used Tesla back and forth and get a tax credit each time? Lol
Chuck Sterbunny I was thinking a use Kia Optima hybrid like 2013
Too2thehead that brings up another thing people don’t realize. The 10 year warranty from Kia and Hyundai only applies to the original owner.
Hey Randy. at 28:00 you can set the max threshold the battery will accept charge with that arrow on the car battery. So you can slide that to appx. 80% and the car will not charge beyond that point to conserve battery life.
No black rims! The stock ones you have look great.
Randy your changing my opinion about EV cars. You would make a great spokesperson for Tesla
Big improvement over the vette! Cool features too. Thanks for showing it.

I love the model 3 too. They are great cars!
Nooo, Leave the contrasting rims!!! Why people *BUY* black rims when they can just paint the ones they have is beyond me..and they look like the car is unfinished...IMHO
Professional paint or even better powder coat those rims.
I cant tell the difference between black wheels and steelies with my eyesight.

Congrats, clean Tesla. Cant wait to see what mods you will do to it. Plus I looking forward for update on the Pt Cruiser. You just need to get a good classic car to add the channel maybe something 50's-70's muscle car. Keep up the great work.
Enjoy your new car sorry I can't afford one I could afford one of your copart cop cars though lol.I wonder what your electric car cost to charge .How much more on your electric bill?
If you use a SC regularly you won't even notice.
John Manley well with Tesla’s, you can use a referral code for free supercharging for like a year
Randy, when i started watching your vids, i was a electric car hater! Love the smell of racing fuel! Lol! But now... im lov'n the Tes! Cant wait to see more about it. Yeah, your still on the top of my favorites list on youtube!
I do not think you will keep this car long your track record speaks for itself.I hope if u need service u dont have to wait for a month to get it in . In Canada one month plus for service at Tesla. I am a GM Tech and my daughter is a Hyundai Tech and our wait time for service is one week plus depending on what's wrong and if parts are available. I am old school pistons and valves.
Great video and car. I do hope you enjoy it. For me I prefer my hybrid at $36K and 520 mile range. Not as fast but okay for normal driving It gets 40+ mpg and drives very good and quiet for a crossover.
Nice man this car is awesome
Thanks!

There really is very little schedule maintenance on a Tesla. Randy is a 100% right about that. On the other hand any body damage will be very expensive, since only Telsa approved shops can work on them (no Mako ;) and parts are expensive.
Really, tires and a 12v battery? 12v lasts as long in other cars. Now the way Randy drives, he'll need tires next year.
